Ciel Fledge: A Daughter Raising Simulator is (as the subtitle indicates) a Daughter Raising Sim, with some puzzle and RPG elements. The game was developed by Studio Namaapa (the same people behind Nusakana), and published by PQube Limited. The game was initially released for PC and Nintendo Switch on 20 Feb, 2020.

In the year 3716, humanity lives under constant risk of ruin from a colossal alien threat known as "Gigant". Fleeing its destruction, a mysterious young girl arrives on ARK-3, a magnificent city built in the sky…and it’s up to you to take care of young Ciel until she reaches adulthood and becomes ready to fledge the nest.

Tropes:

  • After the End: The game is set in a future where most of humanity has already fled the Earth, and the remainder is at constant risk of alien attack.
  • Alien Invasion: The "Gigant", which are responsible for the current state of the setting.
  • Animal Motifs: Ciel, the girl "under your wing", is frequently associated with birds.
  • Canon Name: The default name for the girl you're tasked with protecting is "Ciel Turner".
  • Character Title: "Ciel" (which is French for "sky") is the default name of the young (or rather, fledgeling) girl that the player raises.
  • Driving Question: How did Ciel, a mere child, become the Sole Survivor of a human-Gigant conflict? It turns out she was actually being kept in stasis beneath where the conflict occurred, and the fighting just happened to uncover her.
  • Fish out of Temporal Water: Ciel; a late-game twist is that she was originally a distinguished member of the Elvan family from a thousand years in the past, placed in cryogenic storage by her original parents.
  • Floating Continent: The main setting is ARK-3, a giant city floating above Earth's landmasses.
  • Hello, [Insert Name Here]: Although "Ciel Turner" is the Canon Name of the girl you're tasked with raising, the player can choose to change both her first and last names when she's first introduced.
  • Heroic Resolve: Outside of combat, Ciel can still use her fighting abilities to succeed in other tasks, with the gameplay trailer justifying such a thing as "a purely metaphorical drop kick".
  • Is It Something You Eat?: Ciel's friend Marco loves to play soccer, which she initially thinks is some kind of food and not a millennium-old sport.
  • Match-Three Game: While not the main gameplay element, for Ciel to make progress with her tasks or fight dangers on Earth's surface, the player has to match symbols on a grid in specific orders.
  • Turn-Based Combat: Should Ciel and her friends choose to explore Earth's surface, this is how encounters with wild beasts are handled, with the Match-Three Game element determining which attacks are used.
  • Vile Villain, Saccharine Show: To quote the gameplay trailer, "Now in spite of the slightly bleak premise, Ciel Fledge is actually a really upbeat, wholesome game."
  • Virtual Paper Doll: Ciel can wear the various outfit pieces you buy for her, and you're allowed to mix-and-match headpieces, tops, bottoms, shoes, and accessories.
  • We Will Spend Credits in the Future: Nieve almost gets in trouble with Sylphine for trying to buy accessories with amber instead of the credits used by the citizens of Ark 3.
