Bad Monday Simulator is a Undertale Fan Game created by Lumpy Touch.

In an alternate universe where the cast of Undertale are mixed with those of Garfield, Nermal falls into an underground "world without Mondays". Down there, he'll have to fight against the ultimate opponent: Sansfield.

You can play it on Newgrounds or itch.io.

Bad Monday Simulator contains examples of:

  • All There in the Manual: There are several lore videos made by Lumpy that reveal the other Undergarf characters and show the pre fight cutscene for Sansfield.
  • Anti-Frustration Features: One of the possible results of "Pray" is a hailstorm, which will damage both you and Sansfield. However, you cannot be killed by it.
  • Anthropomorphic Personification: Nermal is apparently the personification of Monday.
  • Colour-Coded for Your Convenience: Just like in Undertale, light blue attacks cannot hurt you if you're staying still, while orange attacks can't hurt you if you're moving. Also, when your heart turns blue, it becomes affected by gravity and dragged to the bottom of the screen.
  • Eye Beams: One of the 3rd phase's attacks is for Sansfield to sweep blue and orange beams from the glowing eyes of his components on either hand.
  • Eyes Do Not Belong There: In his final form, Sansfield has the faces of his components on either of his hands.
  • Harder Than Hard: Monday mode turns you into a One-Hit-Point Wonder.
  • I Surrender, Suckers: Naturally, Sansfield has one such trick up his sleeve. After defeating his final form, he offers you the choice to either KILL or SPARE him. Picking the former will result in him grabbing your arm and then attempting to turn you into a plushie. On Monday mode, this doesn't work, as Nermal just breaks free and kills him.
  • Multiple Endings: Six, depending on the difficulty level you chose, and whether you SPARE or KILL Sansfield at the end.
    • Ending 1 (Normal, SPARE): Sansfield ships Nermal to Abu Dhabi for a permanent vacation.
    • Ending 2 (Normal, KILL): Sansfield turns Nermal into a slightly damaged plushie.
    • Ending 3 (Hard, SPARE): Sansfield ships Nermal to Abu Dhabi like in Ending 1, but he's considerably meaner about it.
    • Ending 4 (Hard, KILL): Sansfield turns Nermal into a high-quality plushie.
    • Ending 5 (Monday, SPARE): Sansfield traps Nermal inside a rocket and sends him in space, where he eventually stops thinking.
    • Ending 6 (Monday, KILL): Nermal kills Sansfield before turning on the player.
    • There's also a hidden ending, accessible by starting the game and completing two Monday runs in a row, killing Sansfield on the first and sparing him on the second - all without dying. In it, Sansfield suspects Nermal's toying with him, but dismisses the thought and sends Nermal into space like in Ending 5. Eventually, Nermal turns into a meteor and crashes back on Earth eons later. Then you get a short cutscene with JD Gaster.
  • One-Hit Kill: Downplayed. Praying has an extremely low chance of summoning "Godfield", who will completely deplete Sansfield's current health bar in a single hit. This will prematurely end the 1st or 3rd phase, but it will hinder your progress on the 2nd phase (see Sheathe Your Sword).
  • One-Hit-Point Wonder: In Monday mode, Nermal dies if he takes any damage.
  • One-Winged Angel: Sansfield transforms into a new menacing form for his 3rd and final phase.
  • Red Eyes, Take Warning: Nermal displays these in some endings.
  • Ring-Ring-CRUNCH!: Sansfield crushes the alarm clock that kicks off the 3rd phase with his final form's fist.
  • Roboteching: The smoke balls from Jon's pipe and the bones thrown by Sans swerve downwards once they're right above the SOUL.
  • Sheathe Your Sword: Sansfield's 2nd phase has him recover health faster than you can damage him. The battle automatically progresses once Sansfield fully heals himself, so attacking him while he sleeps just prolongs the phase. Even if you were to get lucky with PRAY, it is impossible to end the fight early.
  • Shock and Awe: One of the possible effects of the Pray command will result in Sansfield getting hit by lightning. It has a 50% chance of making him lose a turn, skipping one attack in his sequence.
  • Shout-Out:
  • Stable Time Loop: The hidden ending heavily implies that Nermal became the meteor that hit Earth in the game's backstory, therefore creating Mondays and eventually causing the events of the game.
  • Status Effects: Sansfield's attacks poison you, dooming you to lose a certain amount of health unless you quickly heal yourself. On the other hand, "Pray" has a low chance of paralyzing Sansfield for one turn.
  • Toy Transmutation: In the second and fourth endings, Sansfield turns Nermal into an inanimate plushie.
