  • Absurdly Short Production Time: Filming for Blood and Honey originally only took 10 days, although publicity for the movie inspired the creators to do reshoots.
  • Banned in China: The film was pulled from theaters in Hong Kong and Macau for unknown reasons. The official reason given was "technical reasons", but many have speculated that this was partially due to Chinese censorship of Winnie the Pooh and comparisons of the character with Chinese President Xi Jinping. All this despite the film never even being considered for a Mainland China release.
  • The Danza: Maria is portrayed by Maria Taylor.
  • Disowned Adaptation: Jim Cummings, who has been the voice actor of Disney's Pooh and Tigger since 1988 and 1989, respectively, has stated in an interview that he finds the film to be "absolutely disgusting", and made it abundantly clear that anyone who decided to put his voice in the film would be in "very big trouble".
  • Dueling Works: With Cocaine Bear, another bear-themed horror movie which was released only a month later.
  • Exiled from Continuity: Tigger is absent from the film because his debut book, The House at Pooh Corner, had not yet entered the public domain at the time of filming. The same goes for Kanga and her son, Roo. Tigger did, however, appear in the sequel that released March 2024, two months after he finally joined the public domain.
  • Follow the Leader: Blood and Honey inspired many independent filmmakers to make Slasher Movie takes on Mickey Mouse capitalizing on Steamboat Willie’s debut in the public domain at the start of 2024, with the likes of Mickey’s Mousetrap and another one made by the director of The Mean One. Even Disney's early cartoon character, Oswald the Lucky Rabbit is getting a horror movie due to early version of the character entering public domain at the start of 2023.
  • Missing Trailer Scene: A scene from the trailer with Christopher telling Mary that they will soon be married doesn't appear in the movie.
  • No Budget: The film cost less than $100,000 to make.
  • Role Reprise: In the Hungarian dub, Istvan Miko reprises his role as Winnie-the-Pooh.
  • Short Run in Peru: It first premiered in Mexico in January 2023, then had a release in the United States the following month in February, before releasing in its native United Kingdom the month after that.
  • What Could Have Been:
    • According to Rhys Frake-Waterfield (the film's director and writer), the first script was originally a lot more faithful to the source material. However, he was forced to scrap the first script and make drastic changes in order to avoid getting into potential legal trouble by Disney, who still has full ownership of their incarnations of the characters.
    • Prior to realizing Winnie the Pooh's new public domain status, the producers considered making a Sherlock Holmes horror film.
