• Celebrity Voice Actor: Unico was voiced by former Japanese child actor Hiroya Oka in this short.
• Children Voicing Children: Unico is voiced by Hiroya Oka, who was a young boy at the time of the short's release.
• Cross-Dressing Voices: Compared to the Japanese version, Unico was voiced by a female in the 2010 Spanish dub.
• Domestic-Only Cartoon: The short was animated entirely in-house by Sanrio Animation/Sanrio Film, compared to The Fantastic Adventures of Unico and Unico in the Island of Magic which was animated by Sanrio Animation and Madhouse.
• No Export for You: Besides Spanish-speaking countries, this short alongside Saving our Fragile Earth: Unico Special never made it to the international market, notably the United States where the Unico series has gained a cult following. However, the short was included as an extra for the English DVD release of Unico: in The island of Magic but with subtitles.
