Troubled Production: In his autobiography, Roger Moore recalled that the film was a disorganized production that was running out of money due to poor preparation. Apparently, when the production was running out of money, many of the crew were even asked to work for free to keep filming on schedule; the producers promptly found the money for the filming when said crew laughed at them and threatened to strike. At the end, Moore credits Second Unit Director Peter MacDonald for bringing it all together. According to Jack McGee, Van Damme would often not turn up on set, causing delays. The crew coped by sightseeing or hanging around the hotel pool.
