Trivia / Super Princess Peach

  • Beam Me Up, Scotty!: Many people get the game's infamous Accidental Innuendo ending wrong, making it sound as if Nintendo deliberately implied that the Vibe Scepter was a sex toy and urging kids to try searching for it. The actual ending is slightly less bad:
Narrator: The Vibe Scepter has strange and mysterious powers, that's for sure... So how do YOU feel about this last adventure? One thing about that scepter! No one knows who created it or why, but... Somewhere, someone might possible be using it right now... What? Your dad got mad at you the other day, you say? Your mom's been laughing happily a lot? Maybe... just maybe... the Vibe Scepter is hidden away in your house somewhere...
  • Dummied Out: The Koopalings were meant to appear in this game between Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga and New Super Mario Bros. Wii. Even more interestingly, Morton's and Roy's shells were meant to be recolored green for this game, predating most of their shells getting recolored for the latter game.
  • Stillborn Franchise: Despite the flak this game gets from a few fans about Peach fighting with her emotions, the game itself actually performed well (selling over a million copies, being one of the best selling Nintendo DS games on the low end) and received favorable reviews from critics (around 75% on average). Most cited the low difficulty level as its only significant drawback, which could have been easily fixed in a sequel. For nearly 20 years, it seemed that the Princess Peach franchise had been swept under the rug...until 2023, when Nintendo announced a new game staring Peach called Princess Peach: Showtime! released in 2024, which would turn out to have no connection to this game outside of a few mythology gags.
  • What Could Have Been: The Koopalings were nearly featured in this game, and they even had fully animated sprites, but for whatever reason they were Dummied Out sometime before the final version of the game.
