Trivia / Shin Megami Tensei IV: Apocalypse

Go To

  • Actor Allusion: Strassman is voicing yet another blond gunwielder in an Atlus series.
  • Lying Creator: Minor case, promotional material stated that there would be 450+ demons in the game. The actual count is around 420.
  • Marth Debuted in "Smash Bros.": DLC marks the international debut of Aleph, protagonist of II, as his game never got released outside of Japan. Barely averted with the Hero and En no Ozuno, as I was released on Apple products internationally a few years prior to Apocalypse.
  • No Export for You:
    • Averted since publisher Deep Silver will bring this game to PAL territories.
    • And averted once again for the regions forgotten since the previous game, like most of Central and South America, who couldn't even purchase the game digitally, much less acquire the DLC due to region barriers.
  • The Other Darrin: Karen Strassman took over for Laura Bailey as Nozomi and Sean Chiplock from Liam O'Brien as Navarre.
  • What Could Have Been:
    • The game started as an Updated Re-release of Shin Megami Tensei IV, until the production staff realized they had so much new content and so many new ideas they needed an entirely new game to fit them all.
    • While SMTIV was released with a two-month export turnaround between Japan and North America, with Europe getting it much later, SMTIVA has the opposite problem, with North America getting it seven months after Japan, but PAL regions only needing to wait two months after North America.
    • An unused dialogue clip (that was even dubbed!) indicates Shesha was going to be obtainable by the player at some point.
