Trivia / Mickey Mouse Clubhouse

Go To

  • Adored by the Network: The show was very much Disney's flagship preschool show for much of its run. The fact it's the longest-running Disney animated show, running for 10 years, should be a testament to this. Even after the show ended and its successors took its place, it still gets daily reruns on the Disney Channel (which is reserved for the most popular shows), especially its movies, and is still promoted alongside Disney Junior's newer originals, including said successors. And with the announcement of a reboot for 2025, it's safe to say that the adoration isn't going away anytime soon.
  • Celebrity Voice Actor: Dick Van Dyke and Chloë Grace Moretz guest-star in the fourth season.
  • Died During Production:
    • Wayne Allwine (the voice of Mickey and also Russi Taylornote 's husband) died in 2009 during the third season's production. However, Allwine recorded the necessary dialogue in advance for the season.
    • In the French dub, Gérard Rinaldi was the voice of Goofy (whom he was the official French voice since 1990) until he passed away in March 2012.
  • Missing Episode: For unknown reasons, Mickey's Great Clubhouse Hunt is not available on Disney+.
  • The Other Darrin:
  • The Other Marty: In Season 4, Bret Iwan redubs the songs Wayne Allwine originally sang after the latter's death. This is mostly to maintain consistency.
  • Out of Order: In the US airings, "Mickey's Sport-y-Thon" aired before "Martian Minnie's Tea Party". The latter introduced Martian Minnie while everyone else already know her in the former.
  • Posthumous Credit: Wayne Allwine still received a credit for the final 11 episodes of the second season as well as the third season, since they aired after his death.
  • Production Lead Time: There was enough of a gap between production and broadcast that Wayne Allwine recorded his lines for the third season, even though he died in May 2009.
  • The Resolution Will Not Be Identified: Despite the show originally ceasing production after Season 4, the last aired episode, "A Goofy Fairy Tale", plays out like a normal episode.
  • Schedule Slip: The fourth and final season was hit hard by this, which resulted in taking 4 years to air a single 26-episode season.
  • Screwed by the Network: Despite being one of the more popular shows, Disney Junior cancelled this show because it wasn't performing as well as Sofia the First and even newer shows on rival networks such as PAW Patrol and Teen Titans Go! (even though the latter show wasn't meant for pre-schoolers, the colorful atmosphere attracted them).
  • Swan Song: Clubhouse's third season marked one of Wayne Allwine's final performances as Mickey Mouse.
  • Vindicated by Reruns: While it was certainly a hit on Disney Junior, it became an absolute smash on Disney+, ranking in the top 5 "Trending" titles for nearly the entire existence of the platform and consistently being the second to third most popular library title. The only ones beating it are usually Bluey and The Simpsons. This may be why a revival was announced for 2025.
  • Voices in One Room: According to Bill Farmer, the cast originally recorded their lines together, but ultimately decided to record separately after several incidents of cracking each other up (most notably, the line "Blow on your/my boo-boo" in an episode where Daisy is a doctor).
  • What Could Have Been: According to Tony Anselmo in a podcast (skip to 42:28), there was consideration to recast Wayne Allwine as Mickey. However, after discussing with Allwine and Russi Taylor, Roy E. Disney convinced the show's creative team to allow Allwine to continue voicing Mickey.
