- Amateur Cast: Coupled with All-Star Cast. A good third of the cast is made up of relatively new voice actresses with few to no significant roles to their name. However, also among the cast are some big-name voice actresses, including but not limited to Fairouz Ai, Aoi Koga, Konomi Kohara, Manaka Iwami, M • A • O, and Yumi Uchiyama.
- Content Leak: A picture of an unmasked Rindou was accidentally revealed by the anime's website when new character visuals for all thirty-eight characters were released on March 9, 2022, a month before the anime's premiere. The picture in question was removed two weeks later and restored on May 15, 2022, the date Rindou makes her appearance in the anime, complete with updated art.
- Creator's Favorite Episode: According to his second Illustration Collection book, Sōichirō Yamamoto enjoyed writing and drawing for Kunoichi Tsubaki the most, in part due to wanting to write a manga featuring an all-female cast, and because the series allowed him to write much more freely compared to his other ongoing works.
- No Export for You: Unlike the anime adaptation, which was licensed by Crunchyroll, the manga was never officially licensed, while Teasing Master Takagi-san and When Will Ayumu Make His Move? are both licensed by Yen Press and Kodansha USA, respectively.
- Official Fan-Submitted Content: The ending songs for the anime were all community submissions, as part of a campaign enlisting the help of both community content creators and professional musicians alike to compose their melodies. Musicians such as Masahiro "Godspeed" Aoki, Ryota Kikuchi PIANO, and Eijun Suganami to name a few were among the final creators chosen for their works, while Team Horse and Rooster's endings were made by the public.
- Playing Against Type: Konomi Kohara is well-known for voicing Cloudcuckoolander-type characters that are not very bright, such as Chika Fujiwara. Here, she's voicing the extremely shy and timid Rindou.
- Similarly Named Works: Despite sharing part of its title, In The Heart of Kunoichi Tsubaki has no connection to an 18+ Steam game that not only bears the Kunoichi Tsubaki name, but also was released the same year as the manga.
- Word of Saint Paul: Series design manager Takashi Kojima doesn't believe that Uikyou and Kikyou are actually sisters.
