  • Bad Export for You: The English, European Spanish and French DVD releases use TV masters for the 2nd half of the show, as only the first 27 episodes of the show were released on VHS and R2 DVD in Japan by Bandai Visual note  before they stopped making DVD's due to poor sales.
  • Died During Production/Swan Song: Taizo Kotobuki would end up being Ginzo Matsuo's final role note  before his unfortunate passing on 25 August 2001.
  • Keep Circulating the Tapes: As noted above, only half of the anime was ever released on VHS and DVD in Japan. Hope you like importing if you live in Japan and want the rest.
    • Same goes for the North American releases of the manga, DC Comics has since lost the license and it's been out of print for ages and this has yet to be rescue licensed.
  • No Export for You: While Italy did get all of the manga, they never got the 2nd half of the anime, only episodes 1 - 27 were dubbed and the Italian DVD releases only go up to episode 26.
    • Germany as well as the Netherlands got the manga in its entirety, however, they never got the anime.
  • The Other Darrin: Due to Ginzo Matsuo's passing Fumihiko Tachiki would take over the role of Taizo Kotobuki for the rest of the show's run.
  • Those Two Actors: As usual, Kenichi Suzumura and Hiroshi Kamiya are best friends here.
  • Unfinished Dub: The first half of the show was dubbed by ADV Films, but poor sales led to it getting cancelled. Nozomi Entertainment later got the license to the rest of the show note , but it was only with the Japanese audio and English subtitles.
    • Ditto for the Italian dub, much like in English only the first 27 episodes were dubbed but the dub was later discontinued due to "terms not suitable for the time slot", while the show was rebroadcast (albeit Bowdlerized) in 2005, it still wasn't the whole show.
