  • Creator Backlash: Imagawa disliked the 2007 movie due to the movie being rushed and seemingly messed up.
  • He Also Did: Hayao Miyazaki was involved in the 1980's version, though only in the 8th episode of it (the episode being handled by TMS Entertainment's sister studio Telecom Animation Film).

  • Playing Against Type: The protagonist of FX, Masato Kaneda, is voiced by Yusuke Numata, who usually voices villains or supporting roles, but never voices the main character. This is the only time he did, and it kinda shows in his performance.

  • What Could Have Been:
    • For the 1980's series, it was originally intended to be a sequel of the 1963 version of Tetsujin-28 however, it ended up being a complete remake of it. note 
    • The English dub version of the 1980's series was slated to be released in home video via LIVE Entertainmentnote  (as reported by Fred Ladd in the late '90s) but due to the death of Mitsuteru Yokoyama, chances of this became impossible.
    • In 2009, IMAGI Animation Studios released a teaser trailer for a CGI adaptation titled, T-28. However, due to the box office failure of the studio's adaptation of Astro Boy and IMAGI shutting down, the film was ultimately canceled.
