  • Colbert Bump: Due to the critical acclaim of Undertale and the Ensemble Dark Horse status of Muffet, a character that Michelle designed as a Kickstarter reward, the comic received a lot of free publicity.
  • Contest Winner Cameo: The high tier Kickstarter donators later appeared inside TITAN's base.
  • Line to God: Michelle has revealed a few things on their Formspring and Twitter.
  • Schedule Slip: The comic barely updated between late 2014 and mid 2015. This is because the writer had to take a small break to prepare art and animation, but due to a DDOS attack on the site and personal issues the break was extended far longer than originally planned.
  • Series Hiatus: Has officially went on hiatus numerous times with the most recent hiatus lasting nearly a year in 2020 before Michelle began updating again Mid-September the same year.
  • Troubled Production: The series' highly detailed artwork means that it takes much longer for pages to come out than most other webcomics. This combined with the creator's various personal issues and her focusing on Kickstarter campaigns for physical books means that the comic spends more time on hiatus than not, with it not uncommon for months and even years to pass by without an update.
  • Why Fandom Can't Have Nice Things: Michelle was previously active on the comic's official Tumblr blog, but left sometime during 2015 due to excessive harassment, particularly aggressive demands to include asexual characters in the comic. The blog is still up and running, but is now run by an anonymous moderator.
  • Word of Gay: Michelle has gone on record saying that Ava is bisexual, Maggie is straight, Gil is gay, and Odin's is a Walking Spoiler.
