That's all, folks...
From first glance, Tails Gets Trolled looks like your run of the mill So Bad, It's Good Massively Multiplayer Crossover comic. However, as it goes on, some quite disheartening things happen throughout...Spoilers Off for moments page, as per policy. You have been warned.
- Sonic's death. Yep, the famous blue blur many people grew up with? Unceremoniously crushed in his fight against the Troll King and his forces in chapter 4. Even worse is Tails' reaction when he finds out in the following chapter.
- Vector, Espio, Cream, and Emerl attempt to help Sonic, but get their asses handed to them as soon as they arrive. Only Vector makes it out of the carnage alive (but without an eye), with Cream being burned alive, Espio crushed into a red paste, and Emerl torn in half.
- Everything that Porky goes through. His wife leaves him after he drunkenly cheats on her, then he finds out his parents were killed and turned into bacon. When he goes to call out his friends for making this happen to him, his wife returns, only to get shot in the head, along with her child. Is it any wonder why he hanged himself after all of this?
- Sylvester's Heroic Sacrifice for Tom. This coupled with Porky's suicide causes Tom to pass the Despair Event Horizon, blaming himself for letting Sylvester die and inadvertently causing the deaths of Porky and his family, with his affair with Petunia being his biggest regret.
- Amy crying after finding out that Sonic was killed. And to make it worse, this was right after their relationship went sour.
- Even worse, Lazerbot eventually spoke up about this entire arc being inspired by something that happened to someone he knew. It says a lot that the entire plot of Amy being raped by Eggman and becoming a Death Seeker is played dead serious as if to highlight just how Lazbot's writing out of experience and a sort of painful understanding of it all.
- The hooker ditch in chapter 20. Words cannot describe the combination of this, Nausea Fuel, and Nightmare Fuel.
- Mario returns to the Mushroom Kingdom in chapter 26 after a long absence, but he is not given a warm welcome. Princess Peach chastises him for fighting the trolls due to his pride, jeopardizing the peace treaty between the kingdom and Troll City and risking them going to war. Peach then reveals she cheated on him for Bowser and Donkey Kong, which causes him to hit her in a rage. She then sends her Toad servants to arrest him for assault, forcing him to become a fugitive. He does have a group of Toads who follow him, but now he can never return to the kingdom he once called home.
