Even a quirky web series like The Bravest Warriors can have some really upsetting moments.
- One of the running themes of the second arc of the comics is Danny's immense regret over the group's destruction of the planet in Issue #1. This leads to some really sad and even distressing scenes, like this one from Issue #6
◊.- In Issue #8, this absolutely heart-wrenching conversation between Danny's Mind, inhabiting a giant robot, and his brainless body, currently in a state of Who Even Needs a Brain?:
Danny's Brain (occupying the giant robot): First things first, let's go find that secret lab so we can get my brain back inside your body.
Danny's Body: I don't want to do that. Let's find something to punch instead!
Danny's Brain: What do you mean you don't want to have your brain back? You like being stupid?
Danny's Body: I like not being sad anymore.
Danny's Brain: ...Oh. - The Paralysed Horse, who comprehends the universe would rather comfort Beth but is unable to because he is a horse (and paralysed). It's quite sad, especially with the quiet music and his voice. And then there's his Heroic Sacrifice to save her at the end of "Aeon Worm", and just after getting a way to work around his paralysis with his new-found physics powers.The Paralysed Horse: I fight, so that she may go on... For I... Am just... A Horse.
- Beth being forced to cut off Wallow's arm to save his life in "Season of the Worm".
