    Adora and Catra
  • Adora and Catra have a very close relationship that teeters between sisterly and romantic for the entire run of the show, and their complicated feelings for each other are only made worse after Adora's defection. The love they had for each other has been described as unconditional, which as you can see from the below examples is completely true.
  • To begin with, Catra is generally manipulative and clingy towards Adora, unwilling to let her spend any time away from her, like an emotionally abusive girlfriend.
  • Adora and Catra's general lack of personal space while around each other, especially in comparison to how testy Catra gets when anyone else even tries to get near her.
  • Catra's catchphrase "Hey, Adora" can regularly be interpreted as quite teasing and flirty.
  • In "The Sword, Part 1," she sleeps at the foot of Adora's bunk rather than on her own. Yes, she's half-cat, but still. When Adora defects, she acts like it was a personal betrayal as opposed to the entire army.
  • Catra, in contrast to the Obliviously Evil Adora, had some idea of the Horde's true nature for a while but stayed because Adora was there.
  • In "Flowers for She-Ra," Catra has a picture of Adora as She-Ra on Swift Wind on her locker and keeps her secret even when Shadow Weaver is threatening her.
  • In "Princess Prom," Adora and Catra dance together at the titular Princess Prom, with little to no personal space. Catra even dips Adora, while the background seems to be a bisexual flag. Later, Adora saves Catra from falling off a cliff during their fight, grabbing her by the waist even when Catra's hand was much closer, which ends with both of them staring each other in the eyes mere inches from one another.
    • Fans were quick to point out that, during the dip, they are both staring at each other's lips for a brief moment.
    • Catra's Ship Tease with Entrapta this episode (see below) can very easily come off as her trying to make Adora jealous by flirting with another girl.
  • All of "Promise," which details Adora and Catra growing up. Even at the end, when it seems Catra has fully fallen to the dark side, there is one last scene of her showing regret for her actions.
    • When Catra claims she's not happy to see Adora, her tail can be seen gently wrapping around her wrist before it moves away.
  • During the Battle of Bright Moon, Catra does a Villainous Face Hold on Adora.
  • When attacking one of the robots Catra sends early on in Season 2, Adora turns Catra's "Hey, Adora" catchphrase back on her to the robot's camera, knowing that she's watching.
  • While Season 2 keeps the two from facing off much, it's very clear they weigh heavy on each other's minds. Scorpia even lampshades how close they are despite the side difference.
  • When Adora is infected with the First Ones tech virus Entrapta created for the second time and falls unconscious in "White Out", Catra uses She-Ra's sword to lift Adora's chin and says "Looks like you're mine now, Adora."
    • Also in "White Out", even when Adora's infected and completely out of her mind, she can still remember Catra's favorite number.
  • Season 3 has a Lotus-Eater Machine "perfect world", which for Catra and Adora seems to be... each other. They're together in the Horde, still close, with Adora protecting Catra from other soldiers and Catra setting up a celebration for Adora with their squad. Adora outright teases Catra for "liking" her.
  • During their breaking speech to Catra, Double Trouble notes how obsessed with Adora Catra is. When turning into Adora, they act a lot more flirty and affectionate just to break Catra even more. Not only that, but while Catra makes sounds of distress throughout the whole speech, she outright sobs when DT turns into Adora.
  • So, let's talk about the official poster released for the fifth and final season. Not only are Adora and Catra at the centre of the image, but behind them there are a few letters in the First Ones' language bent to resemble a heart. Which, also, is literally what the word means. Heart.
  • The Theme Song's Dark Reprise, sung in Catra's perspective, ends with two words, making it apparent who it's dedicated to.
    "Hey, Adora..."
  • SEASON 5 decided this was gonna happen and ran with it full sprint, never stopping until the end.
    • In "Horde Prime," the titular villain is able to easily tell from Catra's reactions that Adora is important to her. When Catra tries to deny it, he laughs it off as a childish lie.
    • In "Corridors," despite repeatedly denying it, Catra eventually shows Adora does in fact mean a lot to her. Realizing as long as Glimmer is on Horde Prime's ship Adora will come no matter what, Catra frees Glimmer from her cell and the two fight their way to a teleportation machine. In a Heroic Sacrifice Catra is able to send Glimmer away and give Adora one last message, tearfully saying how sorry she is for everything, while begging her to stay away.
      • During the rescue scene, Glimmer asks Catra what's gonna happen to her for doing this. Catra says it doesn't matter because no one in the universe cares about her. Cue a cut to Adora indicating there is, in fact, one person.
    • In the next episode, upon hearing Catra sacrificed herself for Adora, several different emotions flash across her face: anger, confusion, shock, concern, and sadness. Later in the episode, Adora tries to explain her relationship with Catra to the Star Siblings but can't really get the words out so settles for "It's complicated". The episode ends with Adora deciding to go rescue Catra because she just can't leave her.
    • In "Save the Cat," Adora runs headlong into a trap she knows is waiting for her in order to rescue Catra from Horde Prime. Sadly, she didn't know how twisted a person Prime is and learns too late that Catra has been brainwashed to serve Prime. Using the knowledge he gained from reading Catra's mind, Horde Prime sets the two against each other while revealing Catra's inner demons just to torment Adora, including the tidbit that Adora broke her heart. The whole time during the fight, Adora begs Catra to fight the brainwashing while also promising to save her no matter what. With no will of her own, Catra taunts Adora by trying kill herself. At one point, the brainwashing chip is damaged and Catra starts to come back in flashes begging Adora to leave her, which Adora refuses. At a stalemate, Horde Prime again demands Adora hand over She-Ra. When Adora refuses, Horde Prime decides Catra is no longer needed and makes her throw herself into the Abyss. Screaming Catra's name, Adora jumps in after her. Weak from the fall, Adora crawls over to a barely breathing Catra and hugs her close. Once again, Prime demands She-Ra. Hugging Catra close and promising to save her, Adora suddenly starts glowing, her love for Catra allowing her to unlock She-Ra from inside herself. After escaping, Catra is still on death's door. Using the last of her She-Ra energy, Adora heals Catra, who gives a happy and loving "Hey, Adora" before the two tearfully hug each other as the episode ends with Catra and Adora finally reunited.
    • It's worth noting Adora's new She-Ra form has a crown similar in design to Catra's old mask...Was that a subconscious choice on Adora's part?
    • "Taking Control" starts with a giddy Adora declaring she just checked on Catra...then wants to go back and check again. Apparently, she had been doing that all day. Sadly, Adora's happiness is short-lived as an awake Catra quickly returns to her closed off and angry self. She wants to be left alone and demands to be dropped of at the nearest planet. This ends up with Adora and Catra arguing again. In the heat of it, Catra says she knows everyone hates her, but Adora yells back that she never hated Catra. Catra can only respond sadly that if that's true, Adora is an even bigger idiot than she thought. Later in the episode, it's found out the control chip on Catra still works enough to be a tracker. It takes some major convincing, but Catra eventually agrees to let Entrapta take out the chip...but only if Adora stays with her. Catra asks this while holding Adora's hand, causing Adora to blush. Later, when Adora transforms into her new She-Ra form, Catra watches in awe with a slight blush.
    • Despite only having about two minutes of screen time the whole episode, we still get plenty of Ship Tease in "Perils of Peekablue." When Catra joins everyone on the bridge, she instantly jumps into Adora's lap, laying bridal carry-wise and gives her a few flirtatious whacks with her tail, purring the whole time. While annoyed, Adora still lets Catra sit on her lap (even holding her bridal-style) and seems surprised/slightly disappointed when she hops off later on.
    • In "Shot in the Dark," Catra blushes and smiles as she watches Adora laugh, who noticing smiles back with a blush, something Bow and Glimmer notice and give wondering shrugs to one another over. Adora also has a Crush Blush when Catra cuts through a solid metal door with her claws. Later we meet Melog, a magical cat creature who develops a Psychic Link with Catra, can sense her emotions via the link, and really likes Adora. The episode ends with the team zooming to Etheria, screaming in fear of Darla's speed. When it's all over, we see that Catra had subconsciously reached out and took Adora's hand.
    • "An Ill Wind" and "Return to the Fright Zone" move most of the focus away from Catra and Adora for other plot points and characters, but we get quite a few scenes of them caring for one another, such as Adora worriedly holding Catra when she has a bad reaction to Glimmer's teleportation. "Return to the Fright Zone" also has the two reminisce about being back in the Fright Zone. To cheer Adora up, Catra challenges her to a race, and the two run laughing together through their old home.
    • In "Failsafe" when comforting Catra about Shadow Weaver's plan and telling her she needs Catra, Catra says she will help but not because she likes her or anything. Melog looks between the two for a second then glomps Adora and starts licking her, showing what Catra is really feeling. While on Mystacor heading for the Failsafe, Adora accidentally springs a trap and is engulfed in fire (that turns out to be an illusion). Catra, with no hesitation, jumps in and pulls Adora out. After assuring Catra she's okay, Adora makes fun of the fact Catra jumped into fire for her, much to Catra's embarrassment.
      • Sadly, things go downhill quickly as Shadow Weaver notices the two are close again and starts scheming to turn them against each other. Adora stands up to Shadow Weaver this time but also reveals she will do anything to save Etheria, something the eavesdropping Catra doesn't like hearing. While in the Failsafe room, worried for Adora, Catra demands to know why Adora is the only one who can take the failsafe. Shadow Weaver reveals anyone who uses it will die, and only She-Ra has a small hope of being able to survive. Catra goes ballistic and begs Adora not to do it. Adora being Adora of course sees it as just fine. Catra tries to argue but is interrupted by mind-controlled Micah. In the ensuing fight, Adora takes the failsafe and transforms into She-Ra to turn the tide. She Goes to Catra to help her out and holds out her hand. For the first time this season, Catra refuses and with tears in her eyes runs away. Later, Catra watches Adora (with Melog nuzzled up against her) sleep sadly. Coming to a silent decision, Catra starts to leave. Melog (still with Adora) tries to convince her to stop but is unable. The ghostly cat goes with Catra, waking up Adora. During a parallel scene when Adora first left the Horde, we see Adora beg Catra to stay but Catra can't bare to watch Adora sacrifice herself anymore. If Adora was going to do it no matter what, then Catra wasn't going to be around and watch her kill herself. As Catra uses Melog to disappear, Adora can only cry out Catra's name.
      • Upon returning back to camp, Shadow Weaver meets up with Adora and states how proud she is that Adora chose Etheria over Catra. This sets Adora off. She angrily tells Shadow Weaver she blames her for all of Catra's problems and because of that, she will always hate her. Walking away, she promises whatever may happen, she'll make sure Shadow Weaver never gets anything she desires.
    • In "Heart, Part 1", we see despite the anger and sadness from last episode, Catra and Adora are weighing heavily one each other's minds, something Melog easily picks up on and tries to get Catra to go back to Adora. That leads to this line from Catra:
Catra: You saw what happened! Adora chose Shadow Weaver, okay?! Not me! Adora doesn't want me! Not like I want her...
    • Inside Light Hope's temple, we see Adora cannot stop thinking about Catra. The temple still has the ability to show memories and holograms, which for Adora are all about Catra. One even comes very close to Adora and touches her cheek in a romantic way.
    • The climax of Season 5 (and the whole series) in "Heart, Part 2" is all about Catra finally admitting she loves Adora. Adora is stunned and when Catra tries to play it off, Adora admits it back. The two stare in awe at one another. After finally having laid all their feelings bare, they share a Big Damn Kiss!
      • That kiss allows Adora to overcome Horde Prime's virus, transform into She-Ra, activate the failsafe, and save the universe. Just prior to that, when Adora realizes she will have to try and activate the failsafe without She-Ra, she tells Catra to get as far away from the heart as possible. Catra absolutely refuses to leave Adora behind to perform a Heroic Sacrifice, even though sticking around would almost certainly result in both of them dying. Luckily, the kiss changes that.
  • Netflix went out of their way to make a compilation of Catradora moments in one 16-minute-long video. Yes, this is really a thing that happened.

    Adora and Glimmer
  • Adora and Glimmer in general are really touchy-feely.
  • In "Flowers for She-Ra," Adora, having been unable to sleep due to a combination of always having others around and her bed being too soft (and accidentally destroying it when she tried to flatten it out) ends up in Glimmer's bed.
  • In "In the Shadows of Mystacor," while trying to help Adora relax, Glimmer takes her to a steam room with hot springs, holding her hand as they get into the water. It almost works as they fall asleep, with Glimmer resting on Adora's chest. At the end of the episode, Adora startles awake and immediately calls for Glimmer, who strokes her hair soothingly.
  • Glimmer twirls and dips Adora as she's gushing about Princess Prom.
  • Adora dances with Glimmer at Princess Prom, albeit while the latter is busy crying about Bow.
  • When Shadow Weaver is trying to brainwash Adora, Glimmer manages to find the willpower to teleport through her Black Garnet-powered restraints and punch the witch out to save her friend, despite the extreme pain it caused.
  • In "Light Hope," Adora sees her friends defending her unconscious body, Bow firing off shots while Glimmer cradles her in her arms. She wakes up and touches Glimmer on the arm.
  • In "The Battle of Bright Moon," as they're preparing to head into battle, there's a close-up shot as Glimmer takes Adora's hand.
  • Throughout Season 4, even though there's a growing rift between the two of them, both of them clearly don't like it, they just don't know how to fix it.
  • In "Pulse", immediately after Netossa and Spinnerella wrap up their Body-Count Competition with a kiss, Glimmer suggests she and Adora compare kill totals. It comes across a lot like flirting in context.
  • In "Mer-Mysteries", here's how Adora manages to temporarily close the rift between them, before everything goes to hell after the fall of Salineas:
Adora: Stay. Please. I know we can figure this out if we work together. No more secrets and doing things without us. We need you here. I need you here.
    Glimmer: ...Okay. I'm here.
  • In "Boys' Night Out" Adora and Glimmer's relationship is constrated with the explicitly romantic relationship between Mermista and Sea Hawk. Mermista and Sea Hawk's Battle Couple scene is immediately followed by a similar scene with Adora and Glimmer
  • As shown in "Beast Island", even after their relationship has reached the worst point it's had since midway through "The Sword: Part 1", even after she's openly defied Glimmer's orders in order to rescue Entrapta, Adora still wants to live up to what she thinks Glimmer needs her to be.
Adora: I wanna be the hero she deserves, and I don't know if I have been!
  • Also in "Beast Island", when Adora is succumbing to the Signal and her own self-doubt, she's snapped out of it by a montage of her memories of Glimmer.
  • Though it's not given much time, Adora and Glimmer's reunion in Season 5 raised the hopes of a lot of Glimmadora shippers shortly before they were dashed by the show committing hard to Catradora.
Adora: We're here now, and nothing's ever gonna tear us apart again.

    Adora and Others
  • After Adora thanks Mermista for helping them against Catra and her team, Mermista visibly blushes.
  • In "Flowers for She-Ra," when Perfuma sees She-Ra, she gets a little mesmerized, even showing Adora giving a twinkle-filled grin towards her. There's even Love Bubbles going around her. Perfuma also gets slightly tongue-tied when trying to tell her people the good news, stares at She-Ra a lot, and cries Tears of Joy at one point.
  • Adora dances with Perfuma at Princess Prom, briefly lifting her up.
  • During "Roll With It", Mermista makes up a fantasy where she becomes "Sea-Ra". At first it seems like a simple case of Green-Eyed Monster, but then she comments that She-Ra's hair is "messy, but sort of beautiful".
  • Adora gets starry-eyed and tongue-tied when she first meets Huntara.

    Catra and Scorpia
  • Scorpia likes hanging around Catra a lot and really desires to become her best friend, despite Catra being very resistant towards the idea. Additionally, Scorpia's often very physically affectionate towards Catra.
  • When Catra offers to be Scorpia's plus one for Princess Prom, the latter blushes as she shows off her dress to Catra.
  • When she's alone with Entrapta, Scorpia goes on and on about Catra, gushing about their friendship. Entrapta even shows her a recording of Scorpia telling her about their boat trip to show she's already mentioned it.
  • When Scorpia thinks Catra has been captured, she starts freaking out and acts suspiciously like a Violently Protective Girlfriend when they're reunited.
  • When Catra relays the information passed on to her via Shadow Weaver, Scorpia assumes Catra figured it out on her own and outright calls her "beautiful and brilliant".
  • When Catra assigns her to defend a pass, Scorpia is over the moon, wanting to give her a gift and saying things like "We are soulmates tied together by the beautiful threads of fate" and calling her "My wildcat".
  • When Scorpia tries to get the courage to ask Catra if she wants to hang out outside of work, it sounds way more like someone trying to ask their crush out on a date. She spends much of the episode bummed she was unable to do so, as well as jealous she'll never have the bond Adora and Catra share from being childhood friends. When they're interrupted by She-Ra et al, Scorpia even says that wasn't how the night was supposed to go. For her part, Catra is briefly in awe from Scorpia's determination to save her at the end of the episode and shares a blanket with her as they head back to the Fright Zone.
  • Scorpia tries to break Catra out of her prison cell at the beginning of Season 3, only leaving when Catra threatens to call the guards on her. She even says Catra is "Everything to [her]".
  • "Once Upon a Time in the Waste" has Scorpia follow Catra into the Crimson Waste, enthuse about her leadership skills, visibly blush when Catra admits they make a good team, and then caps it off by asking her to stay in the Wastes. The invitation sounds almost like a proposal— they could stay, and be happy, together.
  • In the faux-perfect world created by the broken portal, Scorpia is the only person who immediately dislikes Adora. It's possible she's vaguely remembering Adora being on the other side, but it's also possible she remembers her as her romantic rival.
  • Despite most people being unable to tell the difference, Catra almost instantly noticed when Double Trouble tried to trick her with Scorpia's form.
  • When Scorpia leaves, Catra starts visibly losing it, even taking her headpiece off and crying.
  • When Scorpia and Glimmer infiltrate the Fright Zone, even though Scorpia has mostly cut her ties with Catra, she still asks Glimmer not to hurt her.

    Catra and Others
  • Entrapta gets along fairly well with Catra at the Prom and has to be reminded she's an enemy.
Catra: She stole my food then asked me to help her spy on people. Is this what love feels like?
    • After manipulating Entrapta into a Face–Heel Turn, Catra gets several shippy moments with her, like when she's stroking the former's Prehensile Hair, which mirrors her lack of personal space around Adora.
    • On Entrapta's part, at least some of her ease in joining the Horde is because Catra actually shows an interest in what she has to say.
    • When learning how Entrapta stole a bunch of tech from other people to build her new lab, Catra smiles and places her head on her shoulder, telling the fairly young princess she definitely belongs with "us". Entrapta smiles sheepishly.
    • Catra reacts pretty badly to Entrapta getting close to Hordak, which mirrors her feelings when Adora left the Horde.
  • Glimmer apparently sees Catra as a buxom Femme Fatale, something her friends find hilarious. Keep in mind this is after Glimmer has met Catra up-close-and-personal and seen her do things like scratching her head with her feet.
    • In “Ties That Bind,” Catra winks directly at Glimmer while Bow exclaims “She bites!” This leaves Glimmer very flustered.
    • The first two things Catra can muster the will to do after Double Trouble rips her to shreds? Follow Glimmer and save her life when Horde Prime threatens to kill her.
    • In the first three episodes of Season 5, Catra and Glimmer start to form a bond when they're the only ones either can talk to. They sit closely with their backs to one another and just enjoy the company, joking about Adora. Glimmer's friendship with Catra, as well as showing some care for the young woman's reckless behavior, even spurs Catra to finally do some good for once.
    • In "Shot in the Dark," Glimmer gives Catra a big kiss on the cheek after her plan to get through Horde Prime's blockade works, much to the other's chagrin.
  • Catra bonds very quickly with Double Trouble, seeing them as a true equal. Throughout Season 4 (as she pushes her few remaining friends away), Catra becomes more and more dependent on Double Trouble, both as a skilled operative and her only remaining friend and a replacement for her other friends. When they betray her (and happily at that), Catra is left so stunned and heartbroken she can't even muster the desire to fight Glimmer.

    Bow and Glimmer
  • Bow and Glimmer's extremely close relationship throughout the show's run is often more like a Childhood Friend Romance. The two of them are nearly always hugging or holding hands.
  • Bow and Glimmer’s discussion at the beginning of “In the Shadows of Mystacor” sounds exactly like one a married couple would have in the morning.
    Bow: Good morning, Glimmer.
Glimmer: (barely awake) No... It's too early. Five more minutes...
Bow: But it's a beautiful morning.
Glimmer: Today's cancelled. Go back to bed...
  • Glimmer becomes a Clingy Jealous Girl during Princess Prom because Bow went with Perfuma instead of her and can't focus on the mission at all after Bow gets mad at her.
  • In Season 2, Glimmer becomes heartbroken Bow would keep his family secret from her, treating it as a very deep betrayal.
  • In "The Portal", Bow picks Glimmer up and carries her around in his arms after they save the day.
  • After the emotionally and physically draining fight in the Failsafe room, Bow reaches out to touch Glimmer's arm in her sleep.
  • Glimmer leaning on Bow as he plays an instrument in "Heart, Part 1".
    • In the same episode, the two exchange heartfelt "I love you's" before the final battle, and Bow kisses Glimmer's forehead.
  • In "Heart, Part 2", Adora sees a vision of the Best Friends Squad all grown up. Future Bow and Glimmer are clearly a couple, though it's unclear if this was actually a possible future or just Adora's perspective on their relationship.

     Bow and Others
  • Bow and Perfuma's growing friendship has all the hallmarks of a new couple.
    • Perfuma asks Bow to go to the ball with her, and he agrees.
    • Perfuma cries in Bow's arms in "The Valley of the Lost" because she hates cacti so much.
    • In Season 5, after the Best Friend Squad return from space, Bow is the one Perfuma is most happy to see.
  • Bow's interest in Sea Hawk walks the razor's edge between bromance and romance, which includes blushing when praised by him and getting Wingding Eyes when Sea Hawk catches him in his arms. His inner monologue has him squeeing over the praise.
    • On Sea Hawk's side, he tries to use a figurine of Bow to represent himself when the rescue was being planned...
  • Bow greatly admires Entrapta’s technological prowess, and Entrapta blushes along with a nervous greeting upon hearing this, letting him kiss her hair as if it were her hand.
    • On Beast Island, they have a sweet moment of reunion after escaping the clutches of the Signal.
  • Hilariously, one of Entrapta's robots blushes and sighs when Bow glances at it, leaving Bow looking freaked out.

    Entrapta and Hordak
  • Hordak and Entrapta have a surprising amount of subtext together throughout late Season 2 and early Season 3, from Hordak giving her details about his backstory that we never knew before, to Entrapta visibly being upset at the thought of him leaving Etheria, to the two genuinely supporting each other in conversation (even if it is a bit reluctant on Hordak's part). When Catra lies to Hordak about Entrapta betraying them to the Princess Alliance, Hordak looks hurt.
  • While Hordak shows respect for Entrapta's skills as early as Season 1, their true relationship begins in "Signals", when Entrapta sneaks into his sanctum. This is a scary moment for the audience, who have just seen Catra punished for entering the lab without permission. But when Hordak catches her and orders her to get out, she reacts with such nonchalance that he has no idea what to do with someone who can't be intimidated.
  • At one point Catra sees Hordak sitting on his throne, head in hand, listening intently to Entrapta as she perches on the armrest and talks tech. The intimacy of the scene clearly surprises Catra. Some fans have pointed out the angle makes it look like Hordak is resting his elbow on Entrapta's leg.
  • The entire B-plot of "Huntara" consists of Entrapdak ship moments. The two of them are booting up the portal machine, and Hordak looks at Entrapta instead of the project he's been working on for decades. Then, when the portal is about to explode, he pulls her away and shields her with his body, damaging his already faulty armor.
  • Entrapta is always touching Hordak with her hair, being more or less the only character he enjoys physical contact with aside from Imp.
  • Entrapta wraps Hordak in a blanket and makes him soup when he collapses due to degenerative disease. She then gives him the Wall Pin of Love while demanding he tell her his full backstory. Later, a shower of sparks creates a Crush Filter as she tells him she thinks imperfections are beautiful.
  • Hordak goes into full blown adorkable mode when thanking her, with Imp trying to get him to give a better compliment. He's at a loss for words when she smiles and says she enjoys being his friend.
  • The First Ones runes on the crystal powering the exoskeleton Entrapta made for Hordak spell "LUVD" (loved) when translated. Entrapta can't read the language herself, but it gives a certain subtext to her using that particular crystal, and Hordak touching it when he thinks Entrapta's betrayed him.
  • When Entrapta loses her memories along with all of Etheria, it's Hordak's name that makes her remember everything. She smiles and refers to him fondly as her lab partner.
  • In "Coronation", Hordak is so despondent at Entrapta's alleged betrayal he broods in the wreckage of their portal machine and has her belongings removed from the Fright Zone. He's behaving less like a warlord whose minion betrayed him and more like a jilted boyfriend going through a break-up. He demands nobody even speak Entrapta's name, only to bring her up repeatedly.
  • While investigating some damaged equipment, Hordak asks "Was this your doing, Entrapta?" Imp repeats Entrapta's name over and over again, causing Hordak to actually blush.
  • Hordak requests Entrapta's old recordings under the pretense of using her notes to perfect his battlefield technology, but it's implied he just wants to hear her voice again.
  • When Scorpia is trying to "think like Entrapta", she mentions Hordak as one of the things Entrapta is constantly thinking about.
  • In "Destiny, Part 1", Entrapta pulls down her mask when Hordak's name is brought up, something she's been known to do when emotionally shielding herself. She later stutters to say his name when she describes her relationship with him as "confusing".
  • When Double Trouble mimics Entrapta's hair in front of him, Hordak's facial expression looks like a blend of desire and alarm, before shifting to one of anger. When Hordak learns from Double Trouble that Catra sent Entrapta to Beast Island, tears well up in his eyes, and he immediately goes after Catra with his laser cannon.
  • At the end of Season 4, when Horde Prime probes Hordak's mind, Horde Prime remarks "There was even a time you wished I would not come for you, is that so?" while touching the opening in Hordak's armor where the crystal used to be. The implication is that Hordak wanted to stay on Etheria with Entrapta.
  • In "Save the Cat," while looking for the control room on Horde Prime's ship, Entrapta and Bow accidentally find themselves in a clone production room instead. During the fight, Entrapta becomes distracted because she thinks she found Hordak and shows she brought along the LUVD crystal, with the intention of giving it back to him. Entrapta also implies she had a plan to find and save Hordak as well as Glimmer. When the protagonists escape, Entrapta accidentally drops the crystal amidst the chaos. The real Hordak recovers the crystal and keeps it with him for the rest of the season.
  • One night at the Rebellion's hideout, Entrapta is shown researching Hordak on her computer and smiling wistfully.
  • Despite being mind wiped twice, Hordak just cannot forget Entrapta. When the two meet near a Galactic Horde spire, he recognizes her face, to which Entrapta replies she knew he would remember her. Hordak shows her the LUVD crystal in his hand, and she places her hand in his. Bewildered by his persistent feelings for Entrapta, Hordak asks "What have you done to me?"
  • How does Hordak manage to break free from Horde Prime? The latter orders him to take out Entrapta, but Hordak refuses and attacks Horde Prime instead.
    • Hordak briefly pauses before calling Entrapta his "friend", as if he was going to say something else...
    • The original script/storyboard for this scene, which was changed for pacing, features Entrapta cupping Hordak's face with her hair and the two of them holding hands, which makes him smile.
  • After She-Ra exorcises Horde Prime's consciousness from Hordak's body, an overjoyed Entrapta throws herself at him. The two walk off arm in arm, happy to be reunited.

    Sea Hawk and Mermista
  • This is an odd one among the other ships because there are many hints in just their first episode they actually used to date. They get kicked out of a restaurant because Sea Hawk tried to duel someone, and he set their boat on fire in the Tunnel of Love. About the only reason their interactions count as Ship Tease is Mermista just refuses to admit she has any feelings for Sea Hawk beyond barely tolerating his presence.
  • Mermista goes to the prom with Sea Hawk, though she tries to claim he's just her ride.
  • During "The Battle of Bright Moon," she seems to have no issue with him putting his arm around her.
  • Sea Hawk breaks character when Scorpia can't recall Mermista's name, only knowing she was the mermaid princess at the ball. He angrily yells "She has a name!"
  • Sea Hawk gets love heart eyes when Mermista is about to start a rock remix of his shanty.
  • When she's kicking butt with the Heart of Etheria power-up, he holds her while the Heart activates.
  • When Mermista admits she had once set a boat on fire just to see how it felt, Sea Hawk acts as if she asked him to marry her, claiming she's everything he ever wanted.
  • In Season 5, while dodging attacks from a chipped Mermista, Sea Hawk outright tells her he loves her. This statement alone is actually enough to get Mermista's eyes to flash back to normal for a split second.

    Scorpia and Perfuma
  • When Scorpia joins the group in Season 4, Perfuma is really quick to forgive her (both for the Horde stuff and for stinging her), seems overjoyed at the chance to teach her more about friendship, and gets very angry when Mermista interrupts her. Even though she has to tie Scorpia up with vines, she goes so far as to create a gigantic pink flower on them. When Scorpia is being imprisoned, Perfuma takes it on herself to not only provide food but bring extra pillows as well.
  • "Perils of Peekablue" is basically one long conga line of Perfuma and Scorpia flirting with each other and Perfuma helping Scorpia open up and be more confident in herself.
  • Continued in later episodes, as Perfuma is especially devastated when Scorpia becomes Brainwashed and Crazy and adamant that her simply standing in front of Scorpia will be such a strong reminder of the people she loves, the brainwashing will be cured. While Perfuma was wrong about that, Scorpia still managed to resist Prime's control enough to purposefully miss due to Perfuma's speech and gazes at a flower Perfuma left behind before Prime redirects her attention back to him.
  • Perfuma seems to be almost jealous of Catra, getting in a petty argument that she's closer to Scorpia than Catra ever was. In fact, it's not until Catra agrees with Perfuma that the "All Loving Princess" starts to actually treat Catra with kindness.
  • After the series ended, ND Stevenson posted this piece of artwork.
  • A charity livestream confirmed they do become a couple. A very domestic couple, at that.

    Others
  • Kyle and Rogelio, from Adora and Catra's team, are awfully close to each other, with the latter always looking out and protecting the former. One of the storyboard artists even called them "the team's treasured bg ship".
    • In Season 3, a Freeze-Frame Bonus shows what seems to be the inside of Rogelio's locker. Tacked to the walls are a picture of Kyle with a heart by his face and a drawing of what appears to be their imagined child, captioned "R <3 K."
    • The ship is finally confirmed in "Stranded", where Scorpia unintentionally reveals Kyle told her he had a crush on Rogelio.
  • When Entrapta asks Glimmer how her powers work, she tiredly says she would gladly explain later when they weren't in the middle of fighting off a robot uprising. Entrapta gleefully shouts "It's a date!"
    • Entrapta says the same to Scorpia regarding drinking tiny hot chocolate.
  • Kyle is awfully quick to offer up information on Glimmer to Bow, just for a few kind words from the latter...
  • Despite Lonnie's exasperation with Scorpia's eccentricities, she very noticeably blushes when Scorpia compliments her.
  • Huntara is seen hitting on a waitress, even holding her hand, before Adora interrupts her.
  • When Adora is given a Bear Hug from an Amazonian Beauty at Elberon, Adora gives a look of shocked delight at being smashed up against the lady's massive biceps.
  • "The Valley of the Lost" has Perfuma and Huntara building some bridges, including one bit where Perfuma gives Huntara a flower crown and calls her a "desert rose".
  • Light Hope and Mara seemed very close. Mara even gave her a bouquet of flowers—not something one often does for just a friend.
Light Hope: All I have on Mara is this memory and a sensation...warmth. Her memory brings me warmth.
    • When Adora is trying to convince Light Hope to stop the Heart of Etheria, Mara's name also briefly but visibly breaks through whatever Restraining Bolt the First Ones were using to keep Light Hope loyal.
    • According to a post-series charity livestream, they eventually get reunited as interfaces for the Crystal Castle, which has elements of lovers ending up Together in Death...
  • Shadow Weaver, as usual, has very little respect for personal space when trying to convince Castaspella to help her free Etheria's magic, but this time it's a lot more flirtatious and even causes Casta to blush.
  • Double Trouble is pretty flirtatious at times, but they notably refer to Sea Hawk as "hot stuff".
