Se Rentan Cuartos (Rooms for Rent) is a Mexican sitcom created by David Hernandez and produced by Viacom International Studios and Endemol Shine Boomdog for Comedy Central Latin America.

The show follows disgraced ex-socialite Graciela Garza De La Garza y Mas Garza, her good-for-nothing children Bobby and Stef and their devoted chauffeur, as they try (And often fail) to manage an abandoned house-turned bed & breakfast while grappling with poverty, the nuances of Mexico City's popular culture and their growing fondness for the type of people they once despised.

The show is notable for being taped in front of a live audience that is often visible and regularly interacts with the actors, much like yesteryear Mexican sitcom Doctor Candido Perez.

Se Rentan Cuartos contains examples of:

  • Character Development: Graciela and her children as they learn to genuinely appreciate their new life; comes to a head when Graciela refuses to move with her mother in "La Mama de Graciela."
  • Oh, Crap!: Graciela in "La Tormenta" when she realizes facing a week-long storm in Cilantro 18 isn't going to be as simple as it used to be back in her mansion.
  • Pun: "Pepe Nacho" is a pun on the Spanish word for a native headress, "Penacho."
  • Shout-Out: Graciela (Played by Itati Cantoral) is fond of referencing her meme-famous lines from María la del barrio, particularly "¡Maldita lisiada!"
