  • Duel Masters: The dub does a Take That! to Yu-Gi-Oh! by having someone say, "That show with that Egyptian guy is so lame!"
  • Monster Musume: Chapter 82 revolves around a monster girl-themed parody of Yu-Gi-Oh! called "Duel Monmusus", where Kimihito is forced to duel against a living Egyptian mummy named Sekmeti (using Duelist Kingdom rules) in order for the current licensees of "Duel Monmusus" to retain the license via its original ancient Egyptian creators. Kimihito defeats Sekmeti by Normal Summoning "Ash Blossom & Joyous Spring" and then crashing her into Sekmeti's "Brutal-Eyes Jade Dragon", then chaining "Inferno Tempest" to banish Sekmeti's entire Deck, causing her to lose by Deck Out.

  • In Borderlands 2, Zer0/The Assassin sometimes says "Hilarious! You just set off my Trap Card", when he activates his action skill.
  • Fate/Grand Order:
    • Sigurd, who is voiced by Seto Kaiba's actor, Kenjiro Tsuda, mentions the version of the dragon Fafnir that he defeated (there are multiple Fafnirs) had blue eyes and white scales, a reference to the Blue-Eyes White Dragon.
    • Archer Helena Blavatsky and Third Ascension Melusine's Noble Phantasm animations resemble Synchro Summons. Melusine's dragon form somewhat resembles Red-Eyes Flare Metal Dragon.
  • Final Fantasy VII Rebirth: Queen's Blood is a popular card game similar to Duel Monsters that several players treat as Serious Business. The game's creator, Lidrehl Balmon, references Maximillion Pegasus as a man who created a card game based on ancient legends, only to inadvertently unleash a curse and real monsters onto the world. The Shadowblood Queen and her enemy, the Emerald Witch, are basically the Pharaoh and Yami Bakura with the roles reversed. The Shadowblood Queen was a tyrant whom after being defeated, refused to pass on and began possessing players to try to conquer the world again. The Emerald Witch also refused to pass on so that she could defeat the Shadowblood Queen when she returned, though she does not possess anyone. Their spirits reside in their namesake cards, similar to the Pharaoh and Yami Bakura residing in their Millennium Items.
  • The Dark Magician Girl's hat is a wearable cosmetic in Them's Fightin' Herds, called the "Blue Wizard Hat". One of Oleander's alternate names for computer opponents can also be "Dark Magician Girl".

Western Animation

  • The All Grown Up! episode "Yu-Gotta-Go" features Chuckie becoming obsessed with the titular game that's an obvious parody of Yu-Gi-Oh.
  • The Hi Hi Puffy AmiYumi episode "In The Cards" have Ami and Yumi battle each other through a parody of the card game called "Stu-Pi-Doh!". The cards also manifests themselves as the real creatures, like the holograms from the anime at the time.
  • ¡Mucha Lucha!: Rikochet, Buena Girl, and The Flea play a card game called "Lu-Chi-Oh!" in the episode "The Man from M.A.S.K.", which uses luchadores instead of monsters. One of the cards is a "Red Eyed Dragon", a reference to the Red Eyes Black Dragon.
  • The Simpsons: Yu-Gi-Oh price guides, with a poster above featuring Yugi's head, were briefly seen in the episode "Margical History Tour", the only other item at the library's children section besides "Everybody Poops" on video.
