  • In the Star Trek Parody Fic It Was Your Blood, Part Spoof, Data is listing the usual suspects for an attack on Seven of Nine and suggests a "one-armed man" was the culprit, only to be informed that the only person on board with an artificial limb is Seven herself.

Films — Live-Action

  • In The Mask starring Jim Carrey, the titular character sarcastically proclaims his innocence when caught with "It wasn't me! It was the one-armed man!", followed by a cheeky grin. Detective Kelloway is not amused, but clearly gets the reference.

Live-Action TV

  • Birds of a Feather: A poster for the film is visible in "It Happened in Hollywood".
  • Brooklyn Nine-Nine:
    • "Suicide Squad" features two detectives named Kimble and Gerard.
    • The title of the two-part episode "The Fugitive".
    • In "He Said, She Said", Holt addressing the team going after the Disco Strangler is staged similarly to how Marshal Gerald addresses his team in the movie.
  • Community:
    • In "Contemporary Impressionists", Abed acts out a scene from the movie with a Tommy Lee Jones impersonator.
    • Abed's Rousing Speech in "Advanced Introduction to Finality" is a parody of the kind given by Tommy Lee Jones in The Fugitive and the Men in Black series.
  • In a Christmas Episode of The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, Will holds up a gingerbread man that's had one of its arms bitten off and asks his Uncle Phil—who's been denying that he's eating them—"I guess this is the one-armed man The Fugitive was looking for?"
  • Get Smart parodied the series in "Don't Look Back", in which Maxwell Smart is framed by KAOS and has to go on the run.
  • Late Night with David Letterman referenced the TV show in a series of skits called, "The Fugitive Guy", featuring Chris Elliott. His nemesis was a one-legged man.
  • In The Love Boat episode "Best of Friends/Aftermath/Dream Boat," a surgeon forced to retire after losing his arm grumbles, "I want to watch The Fugitive and root for the one-armed man."
  • On NCIS, Tony DiNozzo has quoted the Tommy Lee Jones speech at least twice.
  • The Outer Limits (1995): The episode "Better Luck Next Time" featured two aliens who endlessly chase each other. They call themselves Gerard and Kimble.

Music

  • Iron Maiden recorded a song called "The Fugitive" for their 1992 album, Fear of the Dark. It is about the television show.

Western Animation

  • The Bob's Burgers episode "Midday Run" is a Whole-Plot Reference to the movie, with Tina as hall monitor tracking down Zeke, who escapes while she was escorting him to detention.
  • The Johnny Bravo short "Fugitive Johnny" has Johnny on the run from the police for allegedly stealing a bunch of cookies and, Johnny being Johnny, is utterly hopeless at it (he keeps flirting with his Gerard stand-in, for one). His Inspector Javert pursuer, Detective Janeane, says a version of Gerard's "I want a hard target search" speech early on and Johnny mentions that the man who stole the cookies "had two arms… and two legs" (said thief turned out to be the Chief of Police, who had a serious case of sweet tooth).
  • The King of the Hill episode "Revenge of the Lutefisk" has Cotton blamed for the church burning down. Cotton blames it on "the man with the terrible smell" he encountered in the bathroom that day (who turns out to be Bobby after eating all of the new reverend's lutefisk, accidentally starting the fire trying to hide the smell).
  • The Simpsons:
  • The Tiny Toon Adventures episode "Here's Hampton" features a parody of the opening sequence of the series.
