"Pet Shop" tells the tale of where the baby bears once lived, and after a run-in with a video crew shooting a Sarah McLachlan-type animal adoption video, almost seized an opportunity to find a home separated from each other.

- Balloonacy: Ice Bear uses a bundle of balloons to float back to his brothers at the end.
- Be Careful What You Wish For: Many of the cub episodes showed how the bear siblings tried to get themselves adopted. They got it in this episode, only to realize how they miss each other so much. Presumably, this is episode would mark a milestone in their past where they stop trying to get themselves adopted.
- Comically Missing the Point: The Bears keep wondering why no one ever adopts them, oblivous to the fact that they're bears and therefore, are wild animals who belong in the wild or a zoo.
- Grievous Harm with a Body: Several times, Ice Bear picks up a puppy and throws it at another.
- Kick the Dog:
- Ice Bear pops a ball offered to him by a dog. This is followed by him literally kicking and throwing a group of dogs when asked to play with them for the commercial.
- When the Bears are not able to get adopted after appearing in the pet shop commercial (at first), the pet shop owner sticks them in a box and leaves them by the dumpster. Panda mentions having seen the owner do the same to a bunch of hamsters.
- Large Ham: Grizz's performance in the commercial.
- Masked Luchador: Ice Bear expressed through a poster that he wants to be adopted by Luchadors. Later, he performs a series of pro wrestling moves on a trio of puppies he's supposed to be playing with for a T.V. commercial.
- Precious Puppy: The inhabitants of the Pet Shoppe sans the Bears.
- Unusually Uninteresting Sight: No one seems to find it particularly unusual for there to be talking bear cubs at a pet shop.
- The Voiceless: Ice Bear, just like the last flashback episode.
