Barkeep hosts a talk show called Wake Up White People. His guest is Meemaw, who says that The Comening can be averted if they sacrifice their most innocent. The citizens of the Holler unanimously decide to sacrifice Hurlan to appease Meemaw, with Doc personally killing him by decapating him with an axe. Hurlan doesn't die, because he doesn't know losing his head is fatal. The townspeople again rally to give him an "ejabation" so he will know the meaning of death. Barkeep finds out his wife is cheating on him with his producer, and her murders his producer live on his talk show.
Tropes:
- Cerebus Syndrome: Contains few jokes, with all the humor coming from the ignorance of the townspeople. Barkeep commits a violent murder, even by [adult swim] standards, and Hurlan is killed off for real.
- I Lied: Meemaw reveals that she intentionally lied that killing Hurlan would avert The Comening.
- Karma Houdini: Both the townspeople for murdering Hurlan, and Barkeep for murdering his producer on local television.
- Late-Arrival Spoiler: Meemaw is Virginia Dare.
- Too Dumb to Live: Inverted; Hurlan is Too Dumb To Die. After he learns the existence of death, he dies from his decapitation.
- Killed Off for Real: Hurlan. The promo for Klansgender Rights shows that he stays dead.
- Off with His Head!: Hurlan is Too Dumb To Die, so he survives this, carrying around his head, which can still talk, and which has dried blood hanging from where his neck was.
- Wham Episode: Hurlan is Killed Off for Real.
