The citizens of the Holler unanimously decide to sacrifice Hurlan to appease Meemaw, with Doc personally killing him by decapating him with an axe. Hurlan doesn't die, [[AchievementsInIgnorance because he doesn't know losing his head is fatal.]] The townspeople again rally to give him an "ejabation" so he will know the meaning of death. Barkeep finds out his wife is cheating on him with his producer, and her murders his producer live on his talk show.
