Prom is coming up for Lone Moose School and Judy and Kima are worried they won't be able to find the perfect dates for prom. But luckily, Ester manages to find them their ideal dates from her home village. Later on, Ham and Crispin manages to convince Principal Gibbons to change the Prom King and Queen title to Prom President and Vice President so they have a chance to win regardless of gender. Meanwhile, a weird smell is going around Lone Moose and the Stink Tank, consisting of Mayor Peppers, Beef, Wolf, Honeybee, Dorothy, Walter, and Dr. French, are investigating where the smell is coming from. Along the way, they also learn that the smell is attracting pizzly bears, a hybrid mix of a grizzly bear and a polar bear, into certain areas. They discover Looney Louie has been stalking them and that he knows the truth about the smell, but he only gives them a hint through riddles.

Tropes:

  • Added Alliterative Appeal: Parodied - the banner during the news report about the smell (seemingly) being caused by fish rot reads, "Sleuths Solve Smelly Smystery."
  • Band of Relatives: The Sixteen Swedish Sisters consists of five sets of triplets sisters and Oonga, the only single child. It's unclear if all of them come from the same family or different individual families.
  • Bears Are Bad News: Due to the smell of spoiled meat, pizzly bears are appearing in the area and are desperately hungry to get to the meat. Their appearance is worsen when the meat bunker underneath Lone Moose School explodes and attracts most of them to the school with the students and teachers still trapped inside.
  • Call-Back: When Louie riddles the committee, "When is a fish not a fish?" Honeybee says, "Oh, I know this! Squidward!" which was something she guessed was a crustacean back in "Sexi Moose Adventure".
  • Delighting in Riddles: Looney Louie is an oddball who typically speaks in riddles. When Mayor Peppers ask Louie if he knows where the bad smell is coming from, he admits he knows but he only decides to tell them in riddles. When Beef and Moon meet Louie at his house to ask him more about the bad smell, he only tells them in riddles again. But when he sees that they're bad at guessing his riddles, he gives up and straight up tells them about the meat bunkers all over Lone Moose. Although, he does admit he was paid to keep quiet about the meat bunkers.
  • Dreaming of Things to Come: When Judy goes to bed and has a dream about her favorite triplets from Sixteen Swedish Sisters, Principal Gibbons in the dream tells her that prom will be happening inside due to the terrible smell outside and the triplets warns her not to attend prom due to something lurking below. After Judy wakes up from her dream and goes to school, Principal Gibbons does tell her prom is moving inside the school gym and the meat bunker under the school explodes and starts filling the gym with spoiled meat.
  • Food and Animal Attraction: Due to the smell of spoiled meat leaking from the meat bunkers, several pizzly bears are sighted in Lone Moose, and when one of the bunkers explodes at Lone Moose School, several of those bears head directly to the school to eat the meat.
  • From Bad to Worse: Not only is Beef and the others too late to warn the school about the meat bunker under it about to explode with spoiled meat, but the smell of the spoiled meat starts attracting several pizzly bears to the school, making it more difficult to reach the students.
  • Gilligan Cut: After Judy wakes up from her dream about a warning about prom, Judy reassures herself the prom won't be moving inside due to the bad smell outside, it then cuts to school with Principal Gibbons telling Judy and Kima prom is moving inside due to the smell.
  • Incessant Music Madness: Judy has been singing "Sixteen Moments" so many times that her family, sans Beef, are annoyed by it, Mr. Golovkin immediately stops her when she's about to sing it at school, and the normally, stoic Bethany actually gets mad to the point she breaks her lunch tray in half when Judy plays the song again.
  • Literary Allusion Title: The episode title is a reference to the Ernest Hemingway novel For Whom the Bell Tolls, itself a reference to John Donne's poem "Devotions Upon Emergent Occasions."
  • Massive Numbered Siblings: The Sixteen Swedish Sisters lives up to their name by actually having 16 sisters in the band.
  • Mix-and-Match Critters: Lone Moose has had a series of sighting of "pizzly bears", the result of polar bears migrating south and mating with grizzlies.
  • Multi-Part Episode: The episode is divided into two parts.
  • The Nose Knows: Moon's wilderness training has given him a finely tuned nose, so he's sure that the smell isn't the usual dead fish or animal carcass because it smells like gravy. Sure enough, the smell turns out to be from surplus meat hidden in underground bunkers that, due to climate change, have started to spoil and bubble up to the surface.
  • Not Now, Kiddo: No one except Beef listens to Moon when he claims the smell is gravy-based. Mayor Peppers even outright states that since a ten-year-old isn't allowed to be in the town meeting, he's not going to pay attention to anything Moon says.
Moon: But what would yous say if I told you that this smell is gravy-based?
Mayor Peppers: I would say, "Who said that?"
  • On the Next: Instead of the usual song that plays during the credits, we get dramatic scenes from the following episode.
  • The Prom Plot: Lone Moose School is having prom and Judy and Kima are on the prom committee where their prom theme will be based around the song "Sixteen Moments". Ham and Crispin manages to convince Principal Gibbons to change the Prom King and Queen title to Prom President and Vice President so they have a chance at winning without their gender being an issue. On the day of prom, Ham and Crispin win Prom President and Vice President while Judy and Kima found their perfect dates for prom, but an underground bunker full of spoiled meat explodes underneath the school and traps everyone inside.
  • Season Finale: The episode is part one of the Season Three finale.
  • Shout-Out: While the two songs sound different, the concept of "16 Moments" by The Sixteen Swedish Sisters sounds like the Age-Progression Song "7 Years" by Danish band Lukas Graham.
  • To Be Continued: The episode ends on a Cliffhanger with the students trapped inside the school after the meat bunker underneath it explodes and the wild pizzly bears approaching the school to eat the spoiled meat and ends with "To Be Continued" on the screen.
  • Who Names Their Kid "Dude"?: Looney Louie, his real name is Looney short for Loonjamin.
