"When I dreamed of having a baby, I... thought I'd be with family."
Written by Matt Nix
Directed by Robert Duncan McNeill

Marcos: There's one more thing. I've been asking around, and I think I might have found something.
Lauren: About Andy and Lorna?

Six months later, the Hellfire Club prepares for Lorna to give birth while the scattered remnants of the Mutant Underground try to help who they can under a crackdown by Sentinel Services.

Tropes:

  • Beard of Sorrow: Reed's beard has grown out quite visibly after the 6 months skip and he is obviously in a troubled state of mind due to losing his son.
  • Board to Death: Most of the Hellfire Club is killed by Reeva and the Frost sisters in a hostile takeover.
  • Brutal Honesty: Lauren is quite blunt in telling her mom that Andy wasn't taken from them, he chose to go with the Hellfire Club.
  • Bunny-Ears Lawyer: Wire is quite erratic, but a good hacker and information dealer.
  • Chekhov's Gun: Thanks to treating Christina and seeing how her powers react to pain, Caitlin is able to deduce that the large-scale disruptions being caused by Lorna must mean she's giving birth.
  • Cool Shades: Apparently comes with joining the Hellfire Club.
  • Hope Spot: Lorna's Power Incontinence during labor and proximity to the Mutant Underground hideout allow John to track her location by following the electrical disruptions in the power lines. When she gives birth, however, she blows out the grid and the trail goes cold.
  • Intergenerational Friendship: Andy and Lorna seem to have grown quite close during their time together.
  • Only a Flesh Wound: Caitlin basically shrugs off a graze shot to the gut.
  • Panicky Expectant Father: Played for drama with Marcos, who's desperate to reach Lorna.
  • Person of Mass Destruction: Lorna, even more so than before during her Power Incontinence.
  • Power Incontinence:
    • Christina has trouble controlling her telekinetic abilities while Caitlin is trying to stitch up her injured hand.
    • Lorna similarly has trouble controlling her powers because her baby is about to be born, which causes her powers to surge in moments of pain. They really go haywire when she's giving birth.
  • Pragmatic Villainy: Reeva, Sage and the Frost sisters offer the head of a biotech laboratory a Briefcase Full of Money if he'll give them the run of the place for a day. When he proves reluctant, the Frost sisters point out that they could just force him to do whatever they want, but bribing him to be helpful takes less effort. Also makes this An Offer You Can't Refuse.
  • Put on a Bus: Shatter is mentioned to be operating a cell of the Underground in Baltimore.
  • Relationship Upgrade: During the 6 month time skip, Clarice and John have become a couple.
  • Screaming Birth: Lorna screams a lot when giving birth, a combination of the labor pains and her own out-of-control powers.
  • Time Skip: After the Board to Death scene, the timeline jumps ahead six months.
  • Took a Level in Badass: After 6 months of training with John, Caitlin is able to take Wire's gun from him and hold him at gunpoint despite suffering a graze in the process.
  • What the Hell, Hero?: Marcos and Caitlin get called out by the rest of the Underground for going to Wire all by themselves. Caitlin defends herself that she had to do it to find Andy.

"Hello, Dawn."
