While Rayla and Callum explore the magical land of Xadia, Ezran has to deal with the issues of being a child king. This becomes even more complicated when the prince of a neighboring kingdom shows up in Katolis.

This episode contains examples of:

  • Can't Believe I Said That: Rayla does a nonverbal version of this after her Suggestive Collision with Callum, when she winks at him and says it was a "Bumpy Ride".
  • A Child Shall Lead Them: Ezran has many problems with being a pre-teen king. He is overwhelmed by his most basic duties, and an allied prince refuses to take him seriously. The High Priestess suggests he appoint a regent, but he ultimately decides to continue ruling himself.
  • Crush Blush: Due to the "bumpy ride", at least in Rayla's case, Callum's red face on the other hand, might have been just regular teen embarrassment.
  • Face Palm: Opeli, when Kasef revealed that Viren had sent a message to him.
  • Fantastic Flora: Xadia is full of weird magical plants, such as Melodaisies that play music and self-explanatory Fart Flowers.
  • Hypocrite: The allied prince demands to speak to an adult instead of the king, but when an adult (Corvus) says something he doesn't like, he insists it's a discussion between royalty.
  • Magical Land: Everything in Xadia is magical—even the dirt.
  • Ridiculously Cute Critter: Adoraburrs are this in-universe, with both Callum and Rayla gushing over how cute they are.
  • Sins of Our Fathers: Ezran decides against his adviser to set Claudia and Soren free since they cannot be held accountable for their father's mistakes.
  • Stinky Flower: One of the plant species in Xadia goes by many names: Flatu-lily, peri-stinkle, toot-lip... At the end of the day, it's a fart flower (Rayla made him smell them as a prank). Much to Callum's chagrin, Azymondias likes the smell.
  • Suggestive Collision: As they ride down on the giant spinning seed, Callum clings to Rayla for dear life. When they finally land, Callum is holding Rayla in his lap, much to both of their embarrassment.
    Callum: I'm sorry, I didn't mean to—
Rayla: It's okay! It was a, uh, bumpy ride.
