Go To

Mario explains how he found himself in the Internet Graveyard last episode, involving him joining a heist spearheaded by SMG3 to steal the YouTube Remote of the CEO of YouTube, Susan Diane Wojcicki.

  • The Bad Guy Wins: SMG3 and the rest of Snitch Productions now have the YouTube Remote thanks to Mario's Revenge Before Reason over Greg, meaning they now can control reality in the SMG4 universe.
  • Blatant Lies: Greg's gravestone describes him as "a man of many words."
  • Given Name Reveal: The inanimate watermelon with Meggy's beanie and headphones has been addressed here as Melony.
  • Heist Episode: The premise of this episode. The Anti-Cast tries to steal the YouTube Remote from YouTube Headquarters, which they succeed in the end.
  • Immediate Sequel: The Framing Device revealed at the end of the episode follows on directly from "The Internet Graveyard".
  • Jaw Drop: SMG4 after Mario finishes his story.
  • Killed Off for Real: This episode confirms that Greg was killed during "Stupid Mario Arcade". SMG3 reminds Mario of the incident to convince him to join his heist.
  • Nice Job Breaking It, Hero: Between being manipulated by SMG3 into joining the heist to avenge Greg and unintentionally sending Axol to the Internet Graveyard during the events of "Mario Gets Woke" (resulting in the breaking of Inkweaver, which would have given the heroes equal footing), it's safe to say Mario's screwed up the biggest so far this arc.
  • Once More, with Clarity: As Anti-Shroomy explains how he got the remote, the flashbacks replay the moments of the heist, only now with Anti-Shroomy's involvement.
  • Pass the Popcorn: JubJub does this when he and SMG3 sees Susan Wojilla treating Mario like a tennis ball, which SMG3 decides to just ignore in favour of fighting the CEO.
  • Plot Tailored to the Party: YouTube Headquarters seems very specifically set up to let the Snitch Productions cast get close to stealing their prized Reality Warper remote, given the group's skillset.
  • Ret-Gone: What SMG3 plans to do to SMG4, now that he has nothing left to lose.
  • Unspoken Plan Guarantee: SMG3, the second he saw Shroomy in the YouTube HQ on a tour, immediately recruited his Demon Hunter side, knowing Shroomy would see Susan as an evil demon, and have him help strip her of her greatest source of power. At that point, the rest of his and Mario's part of the heist was just a complicated diversion!
  • Wham Episode: Twofold: not only does this episode arc weld SMG3's jealousy and the YouTube remote plot lines together, but it ends with SMG3 reveals his true plan: using the YouTube Remote to erase SMG4 from existence.
  • Whole Episode Flashback: Everything up till the end is an explanation to how Mario ended up in the Internet Graveyard.
  • You Have Outlived Your Usefulness: In case you were curious as to why Mario was in the Internet Graveyard last episode, it turns out SMG3 had him sent there to cap off his heist.
  • Xanatos Speed Chess: Whether or not SMG3 knew Shroomy was going to be in the YouTube Headquarters the day of his heist, he certainly didn't let this go to waste.
