Go To

Its Tom's bachelor's party. But Kendall and Roman have other goals in mind.

  • Ambiguous Situation: The nature of the childhood "game" where Kendall locked Roman in a dog cage. Roman describes it as being very traumatic and disturbing, with him being put on a leash and forced to eat dog food, and it resulted in him wetting the bed and eventually being sent away to military school. Kendall insists it wasn't nearly so brutal, specifically saying it was Roman's idea and says there wasn't a leash. Connor also says Roman asked to go to military school, and that the "dog food" was chocolate cake. No one seems to be lying, but whose recollection is closest to the truth is murky.
  • Blatant Lies: Roman telling Tom's friends they'll be allowed to enter the party once the Roys are inside. The Prague plans "falling through".
  • Butt-Monkey: Tom’s “gang”, the Fly Guys, are disallowed from the party and swiftly forgotten about.
  • The Chain of Harm: Roman getting humiliated by Logan and then punching Greg as hard as he can in the arm sums it up really.
  • Driven to Suicide: At Logan's orders, the interviewer at ATN tries to drive the interview of Senator Eavis in a way that implies that he led his wife to commit suicide. Eavis doesn't fall for it and cuts the interview short.
  • Enemy Mine: Kendall offers to join Furness to take over Waystar Royco and bring down Logan in exchange of Kendall being named CEO.
  • Evil Laugh: Roman does one, trolling Tom when they’re going through a tunnel, before admitting that Prague fell through.
  • Foreshadowing: After a brotherly conversation where they catch up, Roman snides that he finally got out of the cage, saving the dog pound reveal for later.
  • Hypocritical Humor: Kendall complains at Frank for Speaking Like Totally Teen, when he’s a thirty nine year old buying expensive sneakers so people will think he’s cool.
  • Outliving One's Offspring: For all his abuse of Kendall previously and coming up, and the playing with his drug addiction, Logan is worried that his son might end up dead.
  • My Friends... and Zoidberg: Roman calls the party “a collection of hot people, and Connor”.
  • A Party, Also Known as an Orgy: After seeing a guy with an Eyes Wide Shut mask, Greg worries that it’s going to end up as an orgy.
  • The Reveal: Kendall learns that Furness is a silent partner of Stewy through a shell company, meaning Furness is part of the Waystar Royco board without Logan's knowledge.
  • Screw This, I'm Outta Here: Eavis cuts the interview at ATN short after he realizes the interviewer wants to drive the conversation's direction to Eavis' wife's recent suicide.
  • Sore Loser: After being rejected by the artists, who have chosen a different sponsor due to Kendall being a Roy, Kendall has Frank spread the rumor of them being junkies that spend the funds given to them for drugs.
  • Stag Party: The A plot of the episode is Tom's bachelor party, which Tom believes will take place in Prague, but which Roman hijacks in order to attend an exclusive party in NY frequented by Sandy Furness. In true Succession fashion, nobody actually has any fun even when surrounded by everything they could want.
  • The Un-Hug: Being told by Logan to look after him, Greg gives Kendall an awkward spontaneous hug while the other man looks understandably lost.
  • Your Cheating Heart: While Tom is away at his bachelor party, Shiv sleeps with Nate. Tom gets a blowjob from a woman at the party.
