Ain't no party like a hillbilly party!
Something Narwhal This Way Comes

Original air date: 11/19/2021

Narlene and Nobby visit Bikini Bottom and live with SpongeBob, but bring along a big problem with them.

The episode contains examples of:

  • Accidental Pervert: SpongeBob accidentally walks in on Narlene while she's bathing. However, she's not bothered by it and just compliments his "fancy whirlpool bathtub" and asks him to hand her the scrub brush.
  • Bait-and-Switch: When Narlene says that Plankton deserves a kiss as a reward, Plankton eagerly puckers his lips and is kissed by SpongeBob, much to his disgust.
  • The Bus Came Back: Plankton's family return after last being seen in "One Coarse Meal" from season 7.
  • Crashing Dreams: The episode opens with SpongeBob dreaming of landing on a planet and claiming it for the Krusty Krab. A loud noise disrupts him. Dream SpongeBob then reaches out of the dream bubble to shake the real, sleeping SpongeBob awake.
  • Dramatic Thunder: Lightning flashes after SpongeBob and Narlene go to Plankton for help.
  • Dream Intro: The episode begins with SpongeBob dreaming that he's an astronaut.
  • Here We Go Again!: After Narlene and Nobby leave, they move straight into Squidward's house.
  • I Got Bigger: Narlene's little brother, Nobby, is now tall and muscular.
  • Kindness Ball: Series villain Plankton is happy to call his family and get rid of the Nearwhals, not even expecting anything in return. The problem doesn't even effect him, only people he either doesn't know (Nobby, Narlene) or doesn't like (SpongeBob, Mr. Krabs).
  • Pop-Culture Pun Episode Title: The title is a reference to Something Wicked This Way Comes.
  • Self-Serving Memory: Narlene insists that the last time they met, SpongeBob offered her to stay with him if she were ever in Bikini Bottom. She says the same thing to Squidward after she and Nobby go to live in his house, and unlike SpongeBob, it's not something he would've said.
  • Screw This, I'm Outta Here: When Squidward is kept awake by the Nearwhals and unable to sleep, he packs his bags and posts a "Free House" note on his door. Then Patrick shows up and immediately pulls him back into SpongeBob's house.
  • Strange Minds Think Alike: Both Narlene and Patrick mistake SpongeBob's toilet for a whirlpool bathtub.
  • Suspiciously Similar Substitute: The Plankton family's grandmother looks almost exactly like Ma Angler from "Trenchbillies".
  • Telephone Teleport: After being told about the Nearwhals, the Plankton family mobilizes and gets to Bikini Bottom instantly, through the phone, being small enough to completely fit through it.
  • The Thing That Would Not Leave: Narlene and Nobby quickly overstay their welcome, though unlike most examples, SpongeBob isn't bothered by it, at least until the rest of their narwhal family moves in, and even take over the town. Narlene then realizes that most of them aren't members of her family. Heck, they aren't even narwhals!
  • What Happened to the Mouse?: The last time we see Gary, he's thrown out of the house when the Nearwhals are causing trouble. We don't even see him during the ending, when SpongeBob says goodbye to Nobby and Narlene.

How ya doin', chums?
C.H.U.M.S

Original air date: 11/19/2021

After falling down the drain, Plankton encounters living chum that he trains to steal the secret formula for him.

The episode contains examples of:

  • Ain't Too Proud to Beg: Upon encountering the C.H.U.M.S for the first time, Plankton immediately begs for his life, until it turns out they worship him.
  • Bring Me My Brown Pants: When Plankton encounters a sewer gator, he cowers in fear.
Plankton: Terrified, mind blank, possibly wetting pants! Wait, I don't wear pants. Oh, lucky me!
  • Call-Back: SpongeBob listens to the "F.U.N Song" on his headphones and even sings the lyrics.
  • Eldritch Abomination: The C.H.U.M.S molds together to form a giant monster and attack Mr. Krabs.
  • F--: The C.H.U.M Leader shows a review that gave the Chum Bucket a negative toilet, which he assumes is the highest rating possible. Plankton agrees with him.
  • Headphones Equal Isolation: SpongeBob spends the whole episode hosing down the Krusty Krab while listening to music on his headphones, and because of this, he is completely unaware of the chum monster attacking Mr. Krabs.
  • Shout-Out: The title is a reference to C.H.U.D. and Friends.
  • Villain Episode: This episode focuses on Plankton.
