"I've waited years to see something so beautiful. SO THAT I COULD CRUSH IT TO SMITHEREENS!"

Written by: Ian Weinreich and Clayton Sakoda

Kaos has the command of a giant Arkeyan Conquertron, and so flies with it to the Isle of the Citadel to destroy the Core of Light. It is now up to the Skylanders to defend the Core while Eon and Kaossandra stays behind at Arkus to deal with Strykore.

This episode provides examples of:

  • 11th-Hour Ranger: To help with defending the Core of Light against Kaos, the Skylanders first goes to the Wumpa Islands to recruit Crash and Coco Bandicoot.
  • And the Adventure Continues: As Kaossandra is hired as the new headmistress of Skylander Academy, she promotes the entire Team Spyro to become professors, and hypes them up to be training a whole new generation of cadets. As for Spyro on his own, he accepts Eon’s invitation to see his dragon family, even if it means he won’t be seeing his friends for a long time.
  • And This Is for...: At one point during the sorcerer battle, Kaossandra shoots a couple of spells at Strykore, one each for something he did to not only her, but also to Kaos.
  • Bookends: Spyro finishes the show making a sky message, just like he did at the beginning of the first episode. There is also a stark contrast between the two messages; the one in “Skylanders Unite!” was about him stroking his ego, while the one here is a celebration for all the Skylanders.
  • Call-Back: Spyro brings up the alternative timeline and the Kaos in it that he, Eruptor and Crash saw in Days of Future Crash, to prove to Kaos that he is capable of being good.
  • Dead Hat Shot: When the team notices that Eon is missing after the robot has been destroyed, his helmet drop from the sky, indicating what has happened to him.
  • Gilligan Cut:
Spyro: I think I’m gonna head back to my room. Got some thinking to do.
Eruptor: It’s not that mopey kind of thinking you do when you let out a bunch of long sighs?
Spyro: No! (heads into his room) *sighs*
  • Grand Finale: The series finale.
  • Guilt by Association Gag: Discussed. Glumshanks says that he should have foreseen that working as a double agent for Kaossandra to feed her information about Strykore doesn’t erase the years he spent as Kaos' assistant, helping him in his plans to take over Skylands, and that’s why both he and Kaos are behind bars at the end of the episode, as well as all the Glumshanks clones.
  • Heroic Sacrifice: Eon conjures up a magical barrier to protect the Core of Light from the Arkeyan robot, but by not having his full power after giving some of it to Kaossandra, he gets vaporized alongside the robot while the Core remains intact.
  • It's All My Fault: Spyro blames himself for causing the chain of events that led to Eon being vaporized.
  • Last Episode, New Character: This episode is the only one to feature Coco Bandicoot.
  • Made of Iron:
    • This is Lampshaded by Glumshanks after he falls from the Conquertron's cockpit and doesn't get hurt from it. He believes that he has no feeling left in his body after having been Kaos' punching bag for all his life, which is something he sees as a good thing.
    • Kaos makes it through the explosion of the robot when it lands on Eon's magic with no visible injuries or scratches on him whatsoever.
  • Motion-Capture Mecha: The Arkeyan Conquertron’s right hand moves in coordination with Kaos’ right hand, where he donned the Iron Fist of Arkus.
  • Near-Villain Victory: Though it was an accident that caused Kaos to almost destroy the Core of Light, his goal would’ve been fulfilled if Eon hadn’t jumped in to protect the Core.
  • The Oner: We get one between the team and the Conquertron when we cut back to their fight.
  • Out of Focus: Despite her importance in finding Arkus, Cynder is reduced to being in the background, as she isn’t present during the fight against the Conquertron. It’s most likely because, as she says, she’s been weakened from staying with her father in the underworld throughout the entire season. Despite this, both Kaos and Spyro refer to the team as six even before Crash and Coco join the fray.
  • Skyward Scream: Spyro does this when Eon shows himself as a spirit to him at the end.
    Spyro: AAAAAAAAAAAH!!!
  • Suddenly Shouting: After Kaos and the Skylanders have had a bit of fighting…
Kaos: Okay, I’ll admit that that was kinda awesome, but more importantly, WILL YOU SKYLANDERS JUST GO AWAY?!
  • Villains Out Shopping: The very last we see of the Doom Raiders is them relaxing on their ship, reminiscing that getting rid of Kaos was one of their best decisions ever. That is cut short when Kaos in the Conquertron appears behind the ship and uses it to fling the Doom Raiders away to parts unknown.
  • We Can Rule Together: Strykore tries to get Kaossandra to go back to the evil side by reminding her of how powerful and respected she used to be. He also uses Kaos in this, not only in that Kaossandra never has to worry about him leaving her again, but also that he never has to find out the truth about his heritage.
  • You Are in Command Now: With Eon’s death, Stealth Elf suggests that Kaossandra should be the one to succeed him as headmaster of the academy.
