Meta vs. Carolina: Dawn of Awesome
"Who would win in a fight?" Now, if that's not the most popular question asked around Project Freelancer, I don't know what is. Oh! No, wait—it'd probably be "Hey, where do these AI keep coming from?" or "Have you noticed that we're looking pretty evil lately?" Anyway, there's been plenty of action-packed punch-outs and kick-ass karate matches over the years, but we never really saw a match-up between two of our heaviest hitters: Carolina and the Meta. Let's see if we can do something about that."

Grif asks Simmons whether the Meta or Agent Carolina would win in a fight, and Caboose calls in DEATH BATTLE!'s Wiz and Boomstick to determine the answer.

Tropes:
- Accidental Misnaming: Caboose initially refers to Wiz and Boomstick as "Jizz and Broomstick".
- Brick Joke: Before the fight, Carolina asks Church to not pick an action movie; Church defends his choice with a surprisingly apt description of Death Battle. Then Maine shows up. Church decides that if they survive, Carolina can have her pick; post-fight, Carolina's only request is "No action movies".
- Butt-Monkey: Grif gets it bad in this episode.
- Combat Breakdown: The fight starts off with the two Super Soldiers fighting each other using hand-to-hand combat combined with their high-tech arsenal. Things goes into a bit of a stalemate due to Meta absorbing blow after blow and Carolina moving too fast to get a proper hit on. Then, Carolina tries using all of her armor enhancements to get the upper hand only for the Meta to activate his Temporal Distortion Unit to freeze her in her tracks and follows it up with slamming her into a wall with his Brute Shot. This leaves Carolina bleeding from the chest and Church focusing his efforts on using the Healing Unit to tend to her wound. Carolina retrieves her pistol and unloads the clip in Meta, who finally starts to slow down from the multiple injuries he has sustained over the fight, however he still continues to advance on Carolina. He then throws his Brute Shot at her, slashing her across the chest, and is just about to pummel her to death when Church distracts Meta in order to give Carolina enough time to blast The Meta's head off with his own Brute Shot.
- Crossover: This is both an episode of DEATH BATTLE! and Red vs. Blue.
- Guys Smash, Girls Shoot: Normally they're good at both, but Meta's overwhelming strength advantage over Carolina means the latter is forced to fight from a distance.
- The Juggernaut: Up until the end, pretty much everything that Carolina throws at the Meta is completely ineffective at stopping him from killing her.
- Leaning on the Fourth Wall: "Hey, wait a minute. Where did you get all of this footage? Have you been spying on us?"
- Luke, I Might Be Your Father: Boomstick compares Sarge to his father who joined the military. Sarge quickly bugs out.
- Male Might, Female Finesse: The Meta is much physically stronger and tougher while Carolina is much faster and the more tactical fighter.
- Near-Villain Victory: The Meta comes uncomfortably close to killing Carolina, only losing due to its habit of being distracted by any AI fragment he sees.
- Time Stands Still: The Meta uses his time-distortion unit to allow himself to land a near-fatal blow on Carolina.
- Who Names Their Kid "Dude"?: Grif thinks "Wiz and Boomstick" are the dumbest names he's ever heard.Simmons: Franklin. Delano. Donut.
Grif: And I retract my previous statement.
