Air date: June 13, 2018.

Souped-Up Saucer

The saucer gets upgraded.
  • I Was Born Ready: When Celery asks Sydney if she's ready to help her out, Sydney replies that she was 'born ready.'
  • Inventional Wisdom: The horns in the saucer serve no purpose other than to be irritating. Celery even comments that she should rethink the horns.
  • Mid-Season Upgrade: While it's not in the middle of the season, it still counts because the saucer has an upgrade. And it sticks for the rest of the series.
  • Offscreen Crash: Jet and Jet 2 have a crash after trying to lift a heavy rock. We don't see it on screen, but we do see Sean, Sydney, and Mindy wince.
  • Shout-Out: Sean now has a mini lab similar to the one in Star Trek. Also, the robotic arm is similar to Canadarm2, a real robotic arm on the ISS.
  • Status Quo Is God: In the previous episode, "Commander Mom," Jet 2 gets changed to Jet 3. However, this clearly didn't stick, because Jet 2 is back to his normal self in this episode.
  • That Poor Cat: Jet calls upon Jet 2 to help him lift a heavy rock. They both get thrown back, and when they crash offscreen, you can hear a cat yowl.
  • Wingman: Starting with this episode, Sydney is the co-pilot of the saucer.

Pet Sounds

Jet and the gang train Cody.
  • Animal-Eared Headband: The first method the kids use to train Cody is to pretend to be dogs and wear dog ears.
  • Blah, Blah, Blah: Sydney says that all Cody hears is "Blah blah blah, food, blah blah blah."
  • Dramatic Irony: Mitchell never realizes that Cody can do tricks if he gets treats.
  • Eating Pet Food: Jet ends up eating a dog treat, and remarks that it's better than the school cafeteria food on Bortron 7.
  • Food as Bribe: The kids realize that they can use dog treats to motivate Cody to do tricks.
  • Foul Cafeteria Food: Mentioned/implied. After eating a dog treat, Jet quips that it still tastes better than the school cafeteria food on Bortron 7.
  • Skyward Scream: At the end of the episode, Mitchell screams at the sky that he will find out about what he thinks happened.
  • Shout-Out:
  • Training Montage: A variation occurs throughout the episode, with the kids trying to train Cody to do tricks, but with the show's regular quirky music instead of rock music.
  • Training the Pet: Mitchell enlists Jet to train his dog, Cody, while Mitchell is away at his grandparents' house for the weekend. Jet and the others have difficulty teaching Cody new tricks, but they find out that Cody can do amazing tricks if he gets treats as an incentive.
