"For a second there, I thought you guys were gonna do something terrible to me."
Rickety Cricket

Mac and Dennis decide to hunt a man for sport, and select Rickety Cricket as their prey. Meanwhile, Charlie and Dee become convinced that they're now cannibals after Frank tells them the mystery meat they stole from his fridge and ate was actually human meat.

This episode provides examples of the following tropes:

  • Alone with the Psycho: Cricket trapped alone with Mac and Dennis at the end of the episode.
Dennis: Guess it's just you and us and a couple pairs of sour, sweaty balls.
    (cut to black)
  • Appetite Equals Health: Inverted. Dee and Charlie get a craving to eat meat after thinking they've eaten a person. The hunger and craving to eat more means that they're sick, not healthy. Eventually, it turns out that they're just infected with a tapeworm after eating raccoon meat.
  • Blatant Lies: Dee and Charlie are clearly lying to the morgue attendant about knowing one of the deceased and wanting to pay their last respects. Luckily for them, he doesn't care.
  • Bread, Eggs, Milk, Squick:
Charlie: Did you go crazy, just licking everything in your apartment? Like your shoe, I even licked a cat's fanny.
  • Continuity Nod: Dennis notes that Cricket's legs are now almost fully healed.
  • Cool and Unusual Punishment: Mac suggests giving Cricket a "gorilla mask" when they catch him, which mostly involves gluing pubes to his face. He later does the same to Dennis to illustrate its effectiveness.
  • Description Cut:
Mac: How do you catch a cricket?
    Dennis: With a giant bird.
(cut to Dee aggressively pecking at her sandwich like a bird)
Charlie: Dee, will you calm down? You're eating that cheesesteak like some kind of giant bird.
  • Disposable Vagrant: Dee and Charlie decide to eat a homeless kid in order to once and for all settle the matter of whether or not they ate human meat, reasoning that nobody will miss him.
  • Does This Remind You of Anything?: Dee ecstatically moaning "oh, yes!" when Charlie suggests they slice off a piece of Frank's calf to eat.
  • Double Standard: Rape, Male on Male: Played with. Mac calls it "borderline rape" when Dennis teabags him in his sleep, but neither of them have any problem doing the same to Cricket.
  • Enemy Rising Behind: Frank does this to Cricket when he's hiding under the bridge. Subverted as he's there to help Cricket.
  • Even Evil Has Standards: Frank is emphatically against Mac and Dennis hunting man for sport, and eventually decides to help Cricket in order to teach them a lesson.
    • Charlie and Dee are both grossed out by the morgue attendant's tacit acceptance of necrophilia (and his assumption that this is what they've come to the morgue for). They also agonize over whether to eat the corpse of a white man or that of a black man: the white corpse looks "tastier" and they do prefer white meat, but they worry that not eating the black corpse might be racist. They ultimately decide that, despite thinking they've already done it before, they can't bring themselves to eat the homeless kid they grabbed off the street and shoo him away.
  • Friend in the Black Market: Frank claims that he has a "human meat guy".
  • Friendly Neighborhood Chinatown: Dee and Charlie make a trip one in order to try and identify the mystery meat that Frank fed them.
  • Hidden Depths: Cricket demonstrates impressive acrobatic ability as he escapes up a building from Mac and Dennis.
Dennis: Did not know what he was capable of that.
  • Ho Yay: Lampshaded when Frank walks in on Mac rubbing Dennis's nipples and later comments that he doesn't understand their generation's obsession with touching each other all the time.
  • Horror Hunger: Dee and Charlie become convinced that they're suffering from this when Frank tells them that they've eaten human meat and they find that nothing else can satisfy their cravings. It's eventually revealed that they actually ate raccoon meat, and the reason they're so hungry is probably because they got tapeworms from it. (Earlier Charlie mentioned he didn't even really cook the meat, so it certainly wasn't sanitary).
Frank: Are you still going on about the meat? I didn't feed you human meat. It was a raccoon.
    Charlie: What?
    Dee: What?
Frank: You ate raccoon meat. I told you it was people, because I wanted to freak you out, because you're stealing my food.
Charlie: No! No, no. No, no. Then why am I always hungry? And stomach pains? And nothing satisfies the hunger?
Frank: You probably got a tapeworm. That coon meat is lousy with parasites.
  • Hunting the Most Dangerous Game: Mac and Dennis decide to hunt a man for sport, arguing that it's more badass than hunting animals since humans can fight back. They get more than they bargained for when it turns out Cricket is really good at parkour and Frank offers to hunt them back.
  • Hypocritical Humor: The morgue attendant calls Charlie a weirdo seconds after admitting he likes to shove yogurt up his ass.
Charlie: Ok, I'm a weirdo, says the guy with yogurt up his ass.
  • I Love the Dead: When Dee and Charlie go to the morgue in search of a corpse to eat, the attendant assumes they're there to have sex with the bodies instead.
  • Le Parkour: Cricket of all people pulls this off when Mac and Dennis are chasing him, pulling himself onto a fire escape.
Dennis: Alright, how did his legs just do that?
Mac: I'm not doing that, Dennis.
Dennis: No, that was incredibly dangerous.
  • Lost Food Grievance: Frank is so irritated by Dee and Charlie stealing his meat that he tells them they've eaten human meat in revenge.
  • Mystery Meat: Dee and Charlie go to an Asian meat market to try a little bit of everything, whereupon the owner offers to sell them monkey.
  • Napoleon Delusion: Frank spends the entire episode thinking the Rambo movies actually happened to him.
  • Nightmare Fuel Station Attendant: the morgue attendant is this, as he responds to Charlie and Dee's vague and suspicious reasons for wanting to get into the morgue by jovially assuming they are there for necrophiliac purposes, which he charges a flat rate of $50 for. Charlie and Dee are immediately put off by this, resulting in an amusing argument over who is the real "weirdo" in this situation: the morgue attendant points out that he may have very unusual fetishes and turn a blind eye to necrophilia, but Charlie and Dee have shown up to the morgue with a cooking pad and a six-pack of beer that they aren't willing to explain.
  • Organ Theft: Cricket thinks that Mac and Dennis are planning to steal his organs when they lure him to the bar under false pretenses.
  • Precision F-Strike:
Charlie: I ate a fucking monkey, Dee!
  • The Secret of Long Pork Pies: Frank reveals to Dee and Charlie that the meat they ate was actually human. Subverted at the end of the episode, when it turns out it was really raccoon and he was just messing with them.
  • Shout-Out:
  • Too Much Information: Dee and Charlie's reactions when the morgue attendant tells them that he likes "yogurt up his ass and a popsicle in his mouth".
