The player is ordered to investigate the death of Jennifer Carter, who was found carved up and hanged upside down in a meat butchery warehouse.

The items include: a sheriff's badge, a bar of chocolate, a spray-paint can, a six-sided die, a pen, a coin, a knife, a wad of cash, an envelope, a lollipop, a toothbrush, a baseball, a pair of scissors, a hamburger, a cellular phone, a paint-tube, a spoon, a bottle, a table-tennis racket, a letter-opener, a knuckle-duster, a pack of chewing gum, a purse with cosmetics, a watch, a notebook, a wrench...
- Breast Attack: The victim had her breasts burned with a cigarette as a form of torture.
- Cigarette Burns: The killer tortured Jennifer by burning her breasts with cigarettes before gutting her.
- Cruel and Unusual Death: Hell yes. The victim was hit on the head with a blunt object, hanged upside down with a bunch of rope, tortured by having her breasts burned with cigarettes, then sliced open alive with a meat clever until her guts spilled out. For such an early-game case, it's safe to say that this will be one of the most horrifying murders you'll see in the entire series.Judge Hall: Never have I heard of such a heinous crime in all my years presiding this Court.
- Death of a Child: Jennifer is revealed to be only 17 years old, showing that this series really does not fuck around.
- Disproportionate Retribution: It's understandable that Trish was upset about Jennifer sleeping with her boyfriend, but what she did in response took it WAY too far.
- Evil Is Petty: For the crime of sleeping with her boyfriend, Trish brutally tortured and murdered Jennifer, sliced her open, stole her heart, hung her from a meat hook, and sold Jennifer's mother her own daughter's heart so that she would accidentally eat it.
- Fan Disservice: All Jennifer is wearing on that hook is a pair of panties. While her chest has been sliced open and she's been gutted like a hog. Oh, and she's 17 years old, to boot.
- Finger in the Mail: Poor Vanessa not only had her daughter murdered in one of the most gruesome ways possible, but her killer also sold her said daughter's heart like a piece of meat!
- Gorn: This case is without a doubt one of the most gory in the entire series, with the victim being gutted and hanged like a pig in graphic detail and tons of bloody stuff being shown to you.
- Gutted Like a Fish: Jennifer was sliced open alive with a meat clever by her killer.
- Hobos: One of the suspects, One-Tooth Sam, is one. The killer's boyfriend (and also victim's lover) used to be one too.
- Kick the Dog: As if brutally murdering her daughter wasn't bad enough, Trish decides to torment Vanessa even more by selling her the heart that once belonged to Jennifer.
- King of the Homeless: One-Tooth Sam, the leader of the hobo community known as Cooperville.
- Murder the Hypotenuse: The reason why Trish murdered Jennifer: she slept with her boyfriend.

- One-Tooth Sam's jumper has a logotype resembling Adidas.
- Sickening Slaughterhouse: Raoul's butchery is shown to be quite messy and unsanitary, with dried blood caking the floors and walls and a bunch of junk scattered around the place. And then there's the gutted corpse of a teenager...Jones: This place is COVERED with blood! How are we supposed to figure out which is pork and which is woman?!
- Smoking Is Not Cool: Not only does the killer smoke, but she tortured Jennifer by burning her with cigarettes.
- Tap on the Head: According to Nathan, Jennifer was first rendered unconscious with a blunt object before being sliced open.
- Teens Are Monsters: Trish is this to a T. She tortured and butchered poor Jennifer over Raphael, and she's only 16. No wonder why she was tried as an adult.
- Toplessness from the Back: Jennifer is found without her bra at the crime scene. This made it much easier for the killer to torture and gut her
- Wounded Gazelle Gambit: After killing Jennifer, Trish pretended to stumble upon the body by informing her dad about the murder.Trish: I still can't shake that image out of my head... She looked like a pig!
