The Witches give Craig and his friends a peek into the future.

Tropes:

  • Affectionate Nickname: Future Craig has Vanessa's contact as "VanVan", with heart emojis in place of the Vs'.
  • Bad Future: In a sense. Everything seems to be going well for the Stump Kids except for the fact that they're no longer close friends anymore (except J.P. and Omar, who hang out together).
  • Bait-and-Switch: Kelsey and Stacks previously got into a serious fight and it seems like they're going to break up. When they finally confront each other, it turns out the fight was about Kelsey saying the Trials of Trebulon movie was better than the book and getting into an argument about it. After they apologize to each other, they go to Herkle-Fest together.
  • Berserk Button: Bobby goes Ultra Instinct after learning that J.P.'s smoothie stand ran out of his favorite strawberry flavor.
  • Bittersweet Ending: While everyone's storylines in the future wrap-up well, we learn the Stump Kids have become estranged in this timeline, with little indication they'll become friends again. Present-day Craig is the only one shook up by this notion.
  • Breaking the Fellowship: In the future, the Stump Trio and Omar go their separate ways six years later and their friendship drifts apart, but J.P. and Omar still remain close friends.
  • Change the Uncomfortable Subject: After Kelsey and Stacks settled their issue, Stacks gets mad at Kelsey when she questions Kelsey if the reason why she stopped texting her was because she thought she was mad at her. Wanting to change the subject, Kelsey asks Stacks if she'll be her date at Herkle-Fest, which Stacks happily accepts which makes Kelsey sigh with relief.
  • Child Prodigy: At the age of 12, Jessica successfully bought her own car.
  • Continuity Nod: Instead of tarot cards for the Witches to read the future, David has Bring Out Your Beast cards.
  • Cool Bike: The Cannonball of the future rides a motorcycle.
  • Future Badass: In the future, Bobby has given up candy and taken up exercise. The result is that he's several feet taller and much more buff (with enhanced, almost supernatural abilities).
  • Her Codename Was Mary Sue: The witches' story of the stump kids' future has Tabby and Courtney still together as a famous musical duo/couple.
  • Innocence Lost: The goth girls are just making things up for the episode's plot, but the ending pretty clearly has Craig realizing eventually his childhood will end, and he'll be one of those teenagers who grew out of having adventures in the creek too.
  • Lost Food Grievance: Not getting strawberries on his smoothie causes future Bobby to go into Super Mode. J.P. and Omar have to resort to putting a strawberry-flavored candy in the smoothie to calm him down.
  • Married in the Future: Craig/Wildernessa, and Kelsey/Stacks are going out in the future the witches describe. Kelsey and Stacks make up over a fight they had offscreen.
  • Mundane Solution: J.P.'s suggestion to the irritable customer complaining that the smoothie store always gets his order wrong? Go to another store. The customer admits he never thought of that and leaves.
  • Outgrowing the Childish Name: Wildernessa goes by Vanessa now that she's a teen. Averted with Stacks, who is still referred to by that name instead of going by her real name Isabella.
  • Perky Goth: David has left the Elders of the Creek and is now working with the Witches at the smoothie stand. He's goth now, going by Dark Emperor David, and claims that he's being his true self now; but he lapses into his nerdy self from time to time, suggesting he's only doing it to fit in.
  • Protest by Obstruction: In the future, when Vanessa calls up Craig, she's chained herself to a tree to keep it from getting torn down.
  • The Reveal: We finally see Wildernessa's face unmasked, excluding that brief flashback moment back in "Ferret Quest".
  • Ship Tease: In the future, Craig is dating Wildernessa. While it was previously shown that she has a crush on him, this is the first indication that the reverse could be true. Craig doesn't even respond to Kelsey's comment when she said they're both dating in the future.
  • Unreliable Narrator: The Witches insert themselves in the future scenario, making themselves a popular music duo able to go on a world tour, meaning their version of the future is not as accurate as the kids think it is.

Vanessa Can't Make It

When Vanessa calls up Craig, she tells him she can't pick him up because she's chained herself to a tree to keep it from getting torn down.

How well does it match the trope?
