Written & storyboarded by Lamar Abrams & Charmaine Verhagen

When everyone's stuff is getting stolen by a cat burglar, J.P. takes on his superhero persona, Silver Fist, to stop the burglar.

Tropes:

  • All There in the Script: Secret Keeper's cat villain persona is never said in the show, but an episode promo art reveals he's called "The Cat".
  • At Arm's Length: J.P. easily holds back a hypnotized Craig and Kelsey thanks to his height, but forgets Mortimor is on Kelsey's head and he pecks J.P.'s hand.
  • Bait-and-Switch: When the Cat (Secret Keeper) breaks in during the gala to steal Craig's staff, J.P. excuses himself because he needs to use the bathroom. After the Cat escapes with the staff, J.P. returns but it turns out he didn't leave to change into Silver Fist, he actually needed to use the bathroom and then changed to Silver Fist after Secret Keeper leaves.
  • Blackmail: Eliza blackmails the Secret Keeper into stealing everyone's stuff by getting a hold of his Secret Diary and becomes the Cat to steal everyone's stuff while disguised.
  • Call-Back: J.P.'s made-up superhero persona was previously mentioned back in "Deep Creek Salvage".
  • Chekhov's Gun: Silver Fist is shown playing around with his magnetic fishing game during his investigation. He would later find the Cat's hideout by tying one of the fish to his tail in order to track him.
  • Classy Cat-Burglar: The Secret Keeper is a male version of this called "The Cat".
  • Combination Attack: Silver Fist combines his power glove with the Cat's string to tie up the hypnotized henchmen.
  • Continuity Nod: During Craig's acceptance speech, he was about to tell the audience how he restored Cardboard City twice after getting it destroyed twice, referring to the events of "The Future is Cardboard" and "Copycat Carter"
  • Enemy Mine: Silver Fist suggests a "classic temporary team-up" with the Cat Burglar to take down Eliza.
  • Engineered Heroics: What Eliza's plan is: She has Secret Keeper steal everyone's favorite things as the Cat so she can find them and become the most beloved hero of the Creek.
  • Five-Second Foreshadowing: The fact that the Tea Timer's Grove is where Lady T's base is and she has pink hair is a dead giveaway that Eliza is behind all this.
  • Forced into Evil: The Secret Kid is a morally good kid who's forced into villainy under the threat of having his greatest secret revealed by Eliza.
  • Foreshadowing:
    • When crashing the Cardboard Awards ceremony, the Cat Burglar bashfully greets George. Later, when fighting Eliza, he also turns to fight George but turns around to fight Jane some more instead. The episode's ending reveals that the burglar/Secret Kid has a crush on him.
    • Eliza is the first to point out the Cat Burglar and how he's been stealing everyone's stuff. This is part of her master plan to frame him for the thievery while she makes herself into the hero of the story.
  • Hit Flash: When there's a fight, the characters would say the sound effect out loud while the Written Sound Effect blocks the hit.
  • Hypno Pendulum: Eliza uses a pocket watch to hypnotize Craig and Kelsey into becoming her henchmen. J.P. defeats her by reflecting it back to her, making her hypnotize herself.
  • Love Confession: At the end of the episode, Secret Keeper confesses to George he likes him and he reciprocates the feeling. It's implied that when Eliza stole SK's diary, he wrote about his feelings toward George and doesn't want it revealed, which is why he followed Eliza's order to steal everyone's stuff.
  • Non-Indicative Name: Silver Fist has a gold boxing glove. Craig questions this, but J.P. doesn't respond to his question.
  • Open Secret: While J.P. acts as if his "Silver Fist" identity is a secret, the clearly unamused Craig and Kelsey only make token attempts at humoring him. Craig even calls him "J.P." twice while the latter is in his Silver Fist outfit, without J.P. objecting.
  • Practically Joker: Eliza's Lady T costume resembles Joker but pink, she wears a clown mask, and her hair is shorter and resembles The Dark Knight Joker.
  • Saying Sound Effects Out Loud: J.P. and Secret Keeper, as Silver Fist and the Cat, do this constantly when fighting. Lampshaded when J.P. fights the hypnotized Craig and Kelsey and tells them that they have to say their sound effects.
  • Secret Identity Change Trick: When J.P. needs to change into Silver Fist at the beginning, he goes into Kit's locker and tells them he needs to make a call. After Kit tells him to get out of her locker, he knocks her down as he busts out of the locker and reveals his superhero costume. It’s subverted during the award ceremony, when Secret Keeper breaks inside to steal Craig's staff, J.P. declares he has to use the bathroom, and once SK steals Craig's staff, J.P. returns with toilet paper on his shoe and completely forgets to change into Silver Fist.
  • Super Hero Episode: J.P. becomes the Crime Punching Hero: Silver Fist in order to track down the elusive, serial toucher "The Cat" and saves everyone's stuff.
  • Super Zeroes: J.P.'s performance as the Silver Fist leaves much to be desired given his mediocre investigation skills and inability to stop the Cat. Though he does make up for it by tracking him to the hideout and defeating Eliza.
  • Unsound Effect: Some of the Written Sound Effects in the fight scenes, such as "Slapped again!", "Kick!", "Peck!", "Bump!" and "Dap!"
