Craig, Kelsey and J.P. must journey past the Overpass into uncharted territory, the Other Side of the Creek.

Tropes:

  • Affably Evil: Surprisingly, the King acts pretty friendly towards his subjects... until they get on his nerves.
  • All of the Other Reindeer: The Honeysuckle Rangers get no respect from the other kids in Herkleton Mills, and apparently have no friends besides each other. They hope that presenting the King with the map will change that.
  • Bittersweet Ending: Craig manages to get his map back, and the Honeysuckle Rangers let them escape. Unfortunately, the King has already seen his map, which means that he might be making plans to invade Craig's side of the creek already.
  • Bland-Name Product: Squishers are one for Gushers.
  • Cherry Tapping: After dodging Kelsey's charge, Maya lightly jabs Kelsey in the butt with her bat's handle to throw her off balance. Maya doesn't exploit the opening, as she was just trying to humiliate her opponent
  • Curb-Stomp Battle: While Kelsey fights bravely, it's obvious from the get-go that Maya's fighting skills are vastly superior, and she has no problems taking Kelsey down.
  • Extra-Long Episode: This episode is a half-hour instead of a quarter hour.
  • Fantastic Caste System: The Kids of Herkleton Mills have a ranked hierarchy based entirely on the King's personal favor. "Randos" (kids who don't belong to a plant based faction) are the lowest while the "Best Friends" are on top. Different levels of friendship afford different privileges—you have to be at least a pal to enter his kingdom, but aren't allowed to barter for Squishers candy at that level.
  • Hairpin Lockpick: Kelsey tries to use a hairpin to unlock her "handcuffs", which ends up letting her hair hang down.
  • Handy Cuffs: Parodied. The kids are only pretending to be cuffed, and make no attempt to acknowledge that they're only imaginary.
  • Hedge Maze: The King's method of Cool and Unusual Punishment.
  • Heel–Face Turn: After it's made clear that the King will not make them Best Friends, Shawn and Raj secretly help Craig and his friends escape.
  • Literalist Snarking: When J.P. throws his sandwich at Maya as a distraction and shouts "Eat sandwich!", Maya responds by actually eating it. That backfires when J.P. claims out he was keeping it in his underwear, causing Maya to wretch in disgust as the trio runs away.
  • Mugged for Disguise: Green Poncho gives the trio lily pad uniforms he got earlier from three kids, saying he let them go home naked.
  • Not So Above It All: Green Poncho asks Craig and his friends to guard the overpass while he goes on a "recon mission to the fairgrounds". He winds up with some cotton candy and a big teddy bear.
  • Patchwork Map: Parodied; the trip to the other side of the Creek during summer includes a sudden (and most likely imaginary) trip through snowy terrain.
  • Pet the Dog: A low-ranking subject asks the King for a basketball, and he happily gives him three.
  • Snap Back: Maya breaks Kelsey's sword, but it's back to normal a few episodes later without explanation.
  • So Much for Stealth: Craig claims he can get the map without being noticed. Cut to him flailing and shouting as he grabs the map and runs.
  • Title Drop:
    The King: Who are you?
Craig: I'm Craig of the Creek!
  • Wham Shot: Maya crushing Kelsey's "sword".
