Go To

Dolf returns from abroad and starts a fascist party. Most of the people in power underestimate him, but The National Crows Party quickly starts to gain the people's support and seizes more and more power.

Continues in De Slag Om Polderstadt (Escape From The Crows Party)

Tropes:

  • Anvilicious: For this arc, Dolf is literally Hitler, right down to the haircut and the mustache.
  • Bad Guys Play Pool: Dolf is playing with Hannes and Wannes again, at the same bar even. Last time he was a burglar and a petty thief, and now he's an aspiring fascist dictator.
  • Call-Back: When Dolf declares that he's going to lead Waterland, Hannes refers to how Dolf has made similiar declarations earlier (episode 12) and nothing ever came of them.
  • Dub Name Change:
    • The man whose money Dolf inherits is named Vinkki ("hint") in the finnish dub.
    • The same dub turns the National Crows' Party into the National Ravens' Party (Kansallinen Korppipuolue) coinciding either intentionally or unintentionally with Dolf's finnish name, Korppi ("raven").
    • More like title change, but the finnsih dub suddendly starts calling sir Ruupertti (sir Poen) "judge Ruupertti", despite bein "sir Ruupertti" in earlier episodes.
  • Evil Laugh: Dolf right at the end.
  • Hypocrite: Dolf insults Hannes and Wannes for not having money, while he himself is unemployed and penniless.
  • Idiot Ball: Alfred walks into the National Crows' Party headquarters and bluntly demands that Dolf step down and disband his movement. Obviously, Dolf has him arrested.
  • Milking the Giant Cow: Dolf does this during his speech and two other scenes where he's ranting, just like Hitler.
  • A Nazi by Any Other Name: The National Crows' Party.
  • Non-Indicative Name: Dolf is the only National Crows' Party member who is actually a crow.
  • The Purge: Dolf's supporters go on a mass arresting spree as the King rapidly loses control of the country. The National Crows Party even arrests several key members of the government for being a "bad influence" on the King.
  • Tranquil Fury: Dolf acts more subdued after Alfred rejects him the second time, but you can tell he's just as angry as the previous time.
  • Upper-Class Twit: Franz Ferdinand completely dumbfounds his own Council of Ministers when he falls asleep during a meeting on the rising power of the National Crows' Party and doesn't seem to understand the gravity of the situation.
  • We Can Rule Together: Dolf tries to get Alfred involved in his scheme and wants him to finance the National Crow's Party with his business. Alfred absolutely refuses when he hears Dolf explain his plan in horrible detail.
  • What Happened to the Mouse?: Alfred's charity project and reedmower building business are never referred to again after this episode.
  • Whole Costume Reference: At the later half of the episode, Dolf starts dressing like Napoleon Bonaparte.
