Pantheon / GUAE Legion of Monsters

Go To

The Legion of Monsters stands as Melkor's representation of various monsters, fantastic beings and other supernatural beings(and in Father's case, men playing god). While a more generalized group, they differ from the GUAE Vile Specialists in being a symbolic twist on the various (literal) inhuman beings on the pantheon, by representing the worst of them. There is no case of a Non-Malicious Monster here. In many ways, they are meant to be a replacement of the dragons, orcs and other ferocious beings Melkor used to command during his time in Arda.

It should be noted that more than a few in the Legion of Monsters resent being called monsters, mainly because they don't want to be seen as bestial. And it doesn't mean they're stupid, either. They'll remind you of that painfully.

House Leader

Typhon, God of Sealed Villains (Typhoeus, Typhaeon, Typhos, The Father of All Monsters, Titan of Wind, The Storm Giant, Echidna's Husband, The Last Of The Titans)

  • Greater God
  • Symbol: Mt Etna
  • Alignment: Neutral Evil
  • Reason for joining: To avenge the fall of the Titans by slaying all the Greek gods and anyone associated with them.
  • Loyalty to Melkor: Medium. Typhon is loyal to his parents above Melkor, however they both have a history of commanding monsters and raging against the divine. Also, as the Father of Monsters Typhon is fond of the various monsters under Melkor's employ, so he's not going to fight Melkor over them.
  • Threat to Cosmos: Extreme. Typhon is the Father of Monsters and appropriately the strongest one of them all, being a terrifying force to virtually all the gods and beat Zeus the first time they fought.

House Pets

Bruce, God of Sharks (Jaws, A Perfect Engine, An Eating Machine)

  • Lesser God
  • Symbol: A shark fin moving through the water
  • Alignment: Chaotic Evil
  • Reason for joining: Melkor wanted a shark for his Shark Pool, and an intimidating animal. On a more humorous note, that shark pool is the bottom layer of the jacuzzi in the Villain Pub.
  • Loyalty to Melkor: In as much as a shark can have loyalty, Bruce will work for Melkor so it can have plenty of people to chase after and the poor victims of the Shark Pool.
  • Threat to Cosmos: Average. A dangerous animal, but still just a shark.

Them!, Divine Insects of Giant Destructive Beings (Giant Ants)

  • Lesser. Intermediate (over mutated)
  • Symbol: Themselves
  • Alignment: Neutral Evil
  • Reason for joining: General mayhem and carnage that giant bugs tend to do.
  • Loyalty to Melkor: Only as far as Melkor can supply them food and opportunity. They're still ants
  • Threat to Cosmos: Medium, though they're screwed if the Square-Cube Law ends up applying to them

The Legion

Frieza, God of Streamlined Transformations (Freeza, The Strongest Being in the Universe, Emperor of the Universe, The Terror of Namek, The Insane Bastard, Space Napolehitler)

  • Greater God (Overdeity as Golden Frieza)
  • Symbol: The insignia for his Frieza Force
  • Alignment: Neutral Evil
  • Reason for Joining: When he joined up with Melkor, it was when he had full power over Universe 7. Now he is but a shadow of his former self, his empire having been shattered dozens of times thanks to Goku killing him on Namek. Despite still wielding plenty of military might, his Empire is nothing more than The Remnant now so he is counting on his allegiance to Melkor to help him regain his power. Oh, and he wants revenge on the Dragon Team and to grow a few inches taller via the Dragon Balls. And maybe even find someone strong enough to deal with Beerus and Majin Buu. And then, usurp Melkor's throne.
  • Loyalty to Melkor: Abysmally low; it's for none other than mutual benefit. Once Frieza's squeezed all he can from the GUAE and gotten enough power, he'll backstab and murder him slowly and painfully.
  • Threat Level: Dude, have you met this guy? EXTREMELY HIGH. He can destroy dozens of planets and possibly up to a galaxy without sustaining so much as a scratch. He's one of the most feared villains in the Pantheon, and given the amount of crazy and evil here, that's saying something. There's also the fact that if you do manage to kill him, he'll come back, stronger than ever. His second form's power level is already at 1,000,000. You do not want him to assume his final form.

Pennywise, God of Child Eaters (IT, The Dancing Clown, The Deadlights, Every Nightmare You Ever Had, Your Worst Dreams Come True, Everything You Ever Were Afraid Of, The Spider)

  • Intermediate God, Greater God in its own dimension
  • Symbol: A red balloon
  • Alignment: Chaotic Evil
  • Reason for joining: Melkor can help it get as many children as it wants to feed off, along with their tasty fear.
  • Loyalty to Melkor: Pennywise comes and goes as it feels. It enjoys Melkor and the fear he spreads, but is in it to feast of the flesh of youth and doesn't have any personal loyalty to the Dark Lord.
  • Threat to Cosmos: Medium-high. Pennywise is a shapeshifting Eldritch Abomination with a truly horrifying true form in the Deadlights, however it is a coward at heart and is out of luck dealing with those not afraid of IT.

Father, God of Homonculi (Homunculus, The Dwarf in The Flask))

  • Greater God
  • Symbol: A one-eyed smiling black circle
  • Alignment: Lawful Evil
  • Reason For Joining: After he was released for the Gate of Truth, he made a deal with Melkor, promising to grant his many troops immortality, philosopher stones and even an army of zombie-like immortals.
  • Loyalty to Melkor: He claims that he has no reason to betray his allies, promising to give them what they agreed on. Then again he said the exact same thing to the King of Xerxes and the Amestrian Generals. So you can bet that it is pretty damn low.
  • Threat to Cosmos: Knowing almost everything about alchemy, being able to draw souls out of people and turn them into powerful objects along with his ability to plan for centuries makes him a Very High threat to the forces of good. However, should he ever be able to absorb a god (without having his souls drained through Alkahestry and Alchemy), then it is at an Extreme level.

Grima, God of Demonic Dragons (The Fell Dragon, Gimle, The Hierophant, The Creation)

  • Greater God, potential Overdeity
  • Alignment: Chaotic Evil
  • Symbol: The Mark of Grima
  • Reason For Joining: Grima desires two things. The utter destruction of the Divine Dragons and all that remind him of them, and the total enslavement and destruction of mankind. Everything after that is completely unknown.
  • Loyalty to Melkor: Very low. While the two do find some common ground, being nigh unkillable dark Dark Lords, the simple fact that even Melkor doesn't know exactly what Grima intends to do when all is said and done, including whether or not a betrayal is in the works, keeps them from fully trusting each other.
  • Threat level: Very High. Not even counting for his own considerable power, he also has an army of both fanatical Grimeal followers and undead Risen, which were enough to reduce his world to a Death World in a Bad Future. Grima does not possess Complete Immortality, but he will eventually resurrect to anything but his own dark power.

Dracula, Lord of Vampires (Drac, Nosferatu, Vlad the Impaler, Lord of Castlevania, Scourge of God, Lancer of Black, Mathias Cronqvist)

  • Greater God (all vampires can trace their origins to him somehow, and most defer to him as the highest of their race), can go up to Overdeity when he fuses with Death.
  • Symbol: A wine glass filled with blood.
  • Alignment: Neutral Evil
  • Reason for joining: The destruction of the Belmont clan.
  • Loyalty to Melkor: With Sauron now doing the "Lord of Mordor" thing rather than "Lord of Werewolves" like he was last time, Melkor had an opening for a top-level monster lord lieutenant, and Drac was perfect for the job.
  • Threat level: High to very high. The amount of evil creatures he commands is staggering, and he's no slouch (especially after transforming into a more powerful form).

King Boo, God of Mook Royalty and Bedsheet Ghosts (King Teresa)

  • Intermediate God Greater God in King Boo's Illusion
  • Symbol: His crown.
  • Alignment: Chaotic Evil (formerly Lawful Evil)
  • Reason for joining: Initially to chase out people out of haunted houses, however it has been twisted into an insane revenge to slaughter Luigi, Mario and all their friends.
  • Loyalty to Melkor: Medium. King Boo is unstable, but the same could be said for Melkor. And they have both descended into omnicidal mania. Plus Melkor did free him from his imprisonment.
  • Threat level: Medium-high.

Fenrir Greyback, God of Werewolf Theme Naming

  • Lesser God
  • Symbol: Claw-shaped cuts
  • Alignment: Chaotic Evil
  • Reason for joining: Fenrir is a Psycho for Hire that wants to spread lycanthropy. And after Sauron's defection, Melkor could do with a werewolf on his team
  • Loyalty to Melkor: So long as he gets his fill of slaughter and corruption, Fenrir will be happy with his lot in the GUAE.
  • Threat level: Medium-high. Greyback is a feared and ferocious werewolf, after all.

Springtrap, God of Artificially-Living Zombies (Spring Bonnie, Salvage, Not Freddy, Purple Guy, Dave Miller, William Afton)

  • Lesser God, used to be Quasideity
  • Symbol: His head, with a mummified head with still-attached eyes beneath it
  • Alignment: Chaotic Evil (most likely William used to be Neutral Evil, and Spring Bonnie was True Neutral before William was trapped inside)
  • Reason for joining: Revenge on Henry, Michael and the animatronics, and more opportunity to kill children.
  • Loyalty to Melkor: Tends to do his own thing, but doesn't have any issue with Melkor because he indulges his murderous ways.
  • Threat Level: High. While he was still alive he was a dangerous and intelligent Serial Killer, and a skilled mechanic and technician. Now he's a cyborg zombie that could tear a man apart with his bare hands, and appears to retain his personality and intelligence. His bloodlust is his Achilles' Heel, though. And he always comes back.

Khazrak & Gorthor, Unholy Gods of Inherently Evil Races (Khazrak the One Eye, Gorthor the Beastlord)

  • Intermediate Gods
  • Symbol: The Horned Head of a Gor (A type of Beastman)
  • Alignment: Chaotic Evil
  • Reason for joining: They remind Melkor a lot of orcs, which is why he wanted them. Their own motives are general malevolence and the desire to inflict cruelty on everyone they can.
  • Loyalty to Melkor: High, or as much as loyalty is a thing with Beastmen. They were in awe with Melkor's sheer malevolence and status as a God of Evil
  • Threat Level: Medium-high.
