"Isn't it good? I like it, too. This head is still alive. It can still cry and she can still hear us!"

"I'm Uryuu Ryunosuke. I'm currently unemployed, and I like killing people, pretty much. Especially kids and young women."
Ryunosuke Uryuu introducing himself to his Servant, Caster, Fate/Zero

The Nasuverse is full of characters with complex moralities, involving both good and evil. However, these villains prove to be the worst of the bad lot.

Fate Series
  • Fate/Prototype: Manaka Sajyou is the 12-year-old heir apparent of the Sajyou magi family whose prodigious possession of many incredible talents led to a secret inability to see other people as more than insects. Becoming enamored with the vision of an ideal "prince", Manaka would later summon Arthur Pendragon, aka Saber, as her Servant and obsessively devoted herself to him. During the First Tokyo Grail War, Manaka commits acts such as having Assassin poison the entire Isemi clan and cursing Lord Reiroukan's daughter, prompting Arthur to question his Master despite her insistence otherwise. Aiming to grant Arthur's wish, Manaka compels over 600 young girls to commit suicide in the Greater Grail to summon the Beast of Revelations. Although once a loving older sister to Ayaka and dutiful daughter to Hiroki, Manaka would later drag Ayaka to the Grail site to be sacrificed in a jealous fit of rage, gleefully demeaning her whole existence in the process, while commanding the Beast to slaughter their father in front of them. While slain, Manaka still lurks in the Grail determined to fulfill her twisted, self-appointed fantasy.
  • Fate/Zero: Ryunosuke Uryuu is the master of the equally sadistic and twisted Caster, Gilles de Rais, but lacks the latter's care for Jeanne d'Arc, making him worse by comparison. He introduces himself by sacrificing a child to summon a demon and becomes ecstatic when he watches Caster kill said child. It is soon revealed that Ryunosuke is a Serial Killer of women, children and whole families, whose MO involves luring his victims to Caster, which then proceeds to torture and mutilate them before slowly killing them. When their hideout was discovered and destroyed by Waver and Rider, Ryunosuke convinces Caster to summon a demon in Fuyuki City River in an attempt to kill even more innocents. Despite forming a bond with Caster, this is simply a reflection of Ryunosuke's murderous traits rather than any genuine care, which he loudly states on using it to cause death on a grand scale, while he won't have to worry about dirtying his hand. Taking joy in murder, suffering and death, Ryunosuke is one of the most depraved masters in the history of the Holy Grail Wars.
  • Fate/Apocrypha: Celenike Icecolle Yggdmillenia, amongst the morally ambiguous Yggdmillennia family, is the only one who absolutely has no moral compass. Celenike practices blood magic, sacrificing innocents, including children, which she takes great pleasure in. A sadistic dominatrix, Celenike keeps a dungeon in her spare time where she tortures those who cross her, or just those who catch her fancy for the fun of it. In between missions, Celenike will very regularly torture, rape and murder attractive young men, especially homunculi she deems "useless". Celenike also becomes fixated on her Servant Astolfo. After becoming jealous that he is forming a bond with Sieg, a homunculus who has formed an identity, Celenike snaps and uses her Command Seals to force Astolfo to gruesomely murder Sieg just to break Astolfo. Unlike her other family members and many other antagonists from the franchise, Celenike is motivated by nothing more than cruel lust and unrestrained sadism.
  • Fate/Grand Order:
    • "Abyssal Cyber Paradise, SE.RA.PH - BB Strikes Back: Let's meet in the Digital Sea!": The Beast-III/R incarnation of Kiara Sessyoin was once an innocent nun and therapist staffed in Seraphix, but after Zepar inhabited her body and whetted her darker personality, she let herself become much worse. Assimilating the Demon God Pillar and throwing it away after torturous servitude, Beast-III R took over Seraphix using her dark charm and charisma, culminating in using its Planetarium to torture 128, near-dead young Masters over and over into summoning Servants that repeatedly killed one another in a recreation of the Moon Holy Grail War. Obtaining enough power to become Beast III-R, the Demonic Bodhisattva, Beast-III R plunged the digitized Seraphix into the Marianna Trench in hopes of reaching the Earth's core, fusing with it, and turning the planet into a horrid perversion of nirvana. Enslaved by her ego and thirst for pleasure, Beast-III R is nothing more than a self-absorbed, narcissistic hedonist who viewed all of humanity as mere tools to satisfy herself.
    • Cosmos in the Lostbelt:
      • Ashiya Douman, Caster of Limbo and the "Beautiful Carnivore", harbored an intense drive to surpass his lifelong rival Abe no Seimei that led him to commit numerous atrocities for the sake of becoming all-powerful. Manipulating Amakusa and corrupting the Heroic Spirit Swordsmen in the Shimousa Epic of Remnant, he indirectly causes all the mass murder and sacrifices done there as an experiment for his true goals. He later manipulated Arjuna Over Gods in the Indian Lostbelt into accelerating the cycle of destruction and recreation to cause constant misery, death, and suffering for the inhabitants out of sheer sadistic delight. Allied to the Foreign God and the Crypters, once they're compromised, Douman slips away to Hell Mandala where he repeats many of his deeds from Shimousa upon the new denizens. Creating his own means to become a Beast, Ashiya Douman stopped at nothing, not even constant genocide and the destruction of worlds over time and space, if it meant proving his superiority.
      • Beryl Gut is a Crypter who, in the past, killed both his parents and moved to the city, where his assassinations earned him notoriety from even the darkest depths of mage society. Later recruited by Marisbury Animusphere to kill any deserters from Chaldea in exchange for not giving Mash Kyrielight a Sirius Light, Beryl later visits her to break her fingers out of a desire to see her suffer. Resurrected by the Foreign God, Beryl later summoned Morgan as his servant who would "break the world", while also gaining the affection of Baobhan Sith, whom he would teach magic, allowing her to cast powerful curses that, unbeknownst to her, would rot her soul. Being sent to the Atlantic Lostbelt, Beryl would burn Wodime's Tree of Emptiness and later stab him, mocking his ideals and Wodime being unable to heal his wound. Returning to the British Lostbelt, Beryl creates a variant of the Mors curse to use on humans by experimenting on them, and later manipulates Woodwose into betraying Morgan, kickstarting a series of tragedies that destroyed the British Lostbelt, all for the sake of his excitement for bloodshed.

Others

  • Lunar Legend Tsukihime manga: Michael Roa Valdamjong was once a pure priest who fell in love with the True Ancestor Arcueid Brunestud. Growing to despise her for stealing his "purity", Roa became a parasitic vampire who stole the lives of others, possessing them to take new incarnations, going on vicious murder sprees to steal countless lives in hopes of drawing Arcueid to him to possess or torment her. In his 17th incarnation, Roa possessed a girl named Elesia and used her to rape and murder the people of her village. In the present, Roa incarnates in SHIKI Tohno, intending on killing even more people before going after Arcueid again, disdaining her for being "sullied" from the pure vision he once knew.
  • The Garden of Sinners: Paradox Spiral (OVA): Cornelius Alba is a hyperactive, flamboyant, murderous mage with a sickening obsession with tormenting and killing his old academy rival Aozaki Touko. Allying with Souren Araya, Alba assists the man in his horrifying scheme involving the Ogawa apartment complex, entailing the massacre of the residents and then trapping their brains in an unending loop of their final days alive and eventual deaths, a crime that Alba proudly brags about to Touko with glee. When Touko's head is severed from her body by Araya, Alba takes her fully-conscious head for himself to molest and torture as he pleases, before crushing her in his bare hands after bragging about his intentions to kill her defenseless protege Mikiya. Alba is killed after brutally beating Mikiya, smashing his head repeatedly into a wall and stomping his head just because of his association with Touko.
