I Guess I Became the Mother of the Great Demon King's 10 Children in Another World (Isekai De Saikyo Mao No Kodomotachi No Mama Ni Natchaimashita) note  is a manga series by Ema Toyama. The manga was serialized in Kodansha's Monthly Shounen Sirius magazine from 2019 to 2023.

A 16-year-old high school student named Akari lived with her mother, until a tragic accident left her an orphan. A year later, she makes a fateful wish on a game cartridge to be a great mother for a family of her own, only to be swept through a portal into a world based on the game. She finds she's been summoned to Abilfia as the prophesied "priestess from another world" to become mother to the children of the Demon King Gran.

Provides examples of:

  • Babies Ever After: The final chapter ends with Akari and Gran agreeing to have many more children to make their happy family even bigger.
  • Big Bad: it isn't revealed until about halfway through that there is a person behind all the conflict: Ciel, the Celestial Queen. She's a fairy who grows stronger and more powerful by absorbing negative emotions. She has orchestrated the wars between humans and demons for centuries in order to feed and empower herself, and is naturally highly opposed to Akari's and Gran's plans to promote peace between the races.
  • Defusing the Tyke-Bomb: Gran and Akari's children are prophesied to be the "children of calamity" who bring about the end of humanity, but Akari is taking care to raise them as good people instead.
  • Disappeared Dad: Akari's father passed away before she was born and her mother raised her by herself.
  • Distinction Without a Difference: Early in, a female demon makes fun of Akari for trying to breastfeed her daughter, explaining that demon babies don't drink milk, but absorb their parents' demonic essence. Then she admits that the best way for the child to do this is to suck it out of their mother's breasts. Akari points out that's functionally just breastfeeding anyway.
  • Empathic Healer: Demons in this setting are unable to use recovery or healing spells, as those have the holy attribute, so instead they can heal each other by giving some of their life force and transferring the wounds to themselves. Demons don't feel much pain, so they don't mind.
  • Express Delivery: Most of Akari's pregnancies happen in an instant, with her almost immediately popping out an egg from which her children hatch.
  • Foregone Conclusion: Despite Gran dying, it's pretty obvious that he won't stay dead for long, as the title itself reveals that Akari will eventually have ten children, all belonging to the Demon King.
  • Fountain of Youth: After drinking a potion that was supposed to bring back old memories, Gran gets reverted back to his childhood self.
  • Half-Identical Twins: Trois and his twin sister Quatre are nearly identical to each other, except they have different hairstyles.
  • Heart Is an Awesome Power: All of the children have special abilities that initially don't seem suitable for war or equivalent to the strength of 10,000 humans, but are in fact very powerful.
    • An has the special ability to heal all ailments through her cooking, which bypasses the demon race's Empathic Healer method of healing serious wounds. Her cooking can also heal status effects that prevent demons from healing.
    • Deux has the special ability to use all tools, not only weapons, but ordinary equipment such as gardening tools, or lockpicks. This makes him not only very suitable for fighting, but also able to cultivate the arid lands where the demons reside and grow food that An can use for her cooking, or break through locks easily and sneak into the human castle.
    • Trois has the special ability to talk to animals and through his gentle nature, get them to do what he ask of them. This is one of the most versatile abilities, using rats as a spy network, to using giant moles to dig under the enemy castle for a quick escape.
    • Quatre has the special ability of having a natural talent for architecture. Not only can she create homes and fortifications, but she is able to map out a blueprint an enemy castle, as well as renovate the Gran's castle so that is has modern facilities.
    • Cinq has the special ability of being a brilliant strategist from birth, and is able to put his sibling's abilities to their best use, such as planning the escape of Dernier.
    • Six has the special ability of being a natural surgeon and medical genius. This allows her to perform life saving surgeries when wounds are too severe or her patients are not in a state to eat, once again bypassing the demon race's healing method of transferring wounds.
  • Heroic Sacrifice: Akari lost her mother when she was fifteen years old, after her mother sacrificed herself to protect her from a car crash.
  • Love Triangle: Akari is married to Demon King Gran, but that doesn't stop Albert from having feelings for her.
  • Mystical Pregnancy: Akari accidentally conceived six of Gran's children by drinking a Magic Potion, sharing a magic cookie, wearing an enchanted dress, bathing in a magic hot spring together and making a wish on the world tree. Averted with her sixth pregnancy, however, which occurred the natural way.
  • Numerical Theme Naming: Akari names her children with a number in French in the order they were born (except Akari's first child An, who got her name from combining her and Gran's names): Deux (Two), Trois (Three), Quatre (Four), Cinq (Five), Six, Sept (Seven), Huit (Eight), Neuf (Nine), and Dix (Ten).
  • Parental Neglect:
    • Gran's mother, Delnier, never showed any affection for him during his childhood and only focused on fighting a war against the humans. Delnier never took care of him after he got sick, told him that the Demon King's child never relies on others and forced him to stay in his room until his fever went down.
    • Gran become neglectful towards his first daughter, and only focuses on winning the war against the humans and saving his mother from them. After Akari and his daughter Ann make breakfast for him and take care of him, this trait disappears and he becomes a better parent to his other children.
  • Polar Opposite Twins: As infants, Trois is a gloomy crybaby that attracts insects while his sister is courageous, naughty and has a grumpy personality.
  • The Prophecy: According to Abilfia's legend, when a human from another world is by the demon lord's side, she will become his bride and bear the children of calamity and bring the end of humanity. However, Akari wants to prevent it from ever happening and makes sure to raise her and Gran's children to be good. It later turns out that that's only half the prophecy. The forgotten second part states that the Children of Calamity will be stopped by the tenth child, who will calm their bloodlust and turn them all into benevolent symbols of hope and peace. Also, the bit about destroying humanity is mentioned nowhere in the original. Ciel added that to fuel wars between humans and demons.
  • Rapid Aging: Demons age to adulthood faster than humans. The effect is more pronounced when Akari and her children end up on Earth. Because one day on Earth = one month on Abilfia, spending a day on Earth has them grow a month's worth. The inverse has been true for Akari while she is on Abilfia, with her having only aged three days' worth during her three months on Abilfia. Later, after a several month time skip, Akari's oldest children appear to be teenagers despite being chronologically less than a year old.
  • Sibling Triangle: Two of Akari's daughters, An and Quatre, get a Precocious Crush on Albert.
  • Surprise Multiple Birth: In chapter 27, Akari gives birth to triplets, much to the surprise of everyone in the family.
  • Surprise Pregnancy: This happens to Akari at least five times.
    • Akari becomes pregnant with her second child after she and Gran share a cookie together without realizing it was actually a magic item called "love belly cookie". If a man and a woman share a cookie together, their child will be born.
    • As Akari and Gran are about to make love, she suddenly becomes pregnant with twins (a boy and girl) as the result of absorbing a large amount of Gran's magic energy. The dress Akari was wearing was actually a babymaker dress that Gran's mother created secretly. The dress magically created children from touch.
    • Akari becomes pregnant with her fifth child from a magic hot spring. According to a member of the staff, when a couple love each other very much, bathing in the hot spring will result in their having a child together.
    • When Akari makes a wish on the world tree's flower bud to protect her loved ones and grant her a miracle, she suddenly becomes pregnant and gives birth to her sixth child after blooming from a flower bud.
  • Teen Pregnancy: Akari becomes pregnant by drinking a Stork potion that contains the Demon Lord Gran's magic. She gives birth to her first child named An and became a mother at the age of 16.
  • Their First Time: In chapter 26, Akari and Gran finally consummate their marriage. This results in Akari becoming pregnant naturally for the first time.
  • Trapped in Another World: Akari's wish sends her on a one-way trip to a world called Abilfia.
  • Traumatic Superpower Awakening: Akari's children are led to believe that Akari was executed by Queen Ciel, and the first five children (An to Cinq) unlock their demonic blood in grief. This leads to them growing wings, becoming bloodthirsty and changing their fairly harmless, but useful powers to Superpower Lottery tier.
    • An's special ability to heal all ailments becomes one where she can create and manipulate a lethal poisonous mist/energy that may instantly kill those affected by it.
    • Deux's special ability to use all tools and weapons becomes one that allows him to transform simple tools into lethal weapons that may cause instant death, and verbally control them.
    • Trois' special ability to talk to animals and befriend them becomes Mind Control over all living beings, able to make Celestials that look into his eyes follow his commands.
    • Quatre's special talent for architecture and creating objects becomes an ability where she can instead destroy buildings and objects with ease, destroying an entire tower with one swing of her hammer.
    • Cinq unlocks his demonic blood, but how his special ability of being a natural strategic genius is changed is not known.
  • Unto Us a Son and Daughter Are Born: Akari's third pregnancy results in the birth of twins; a boy named Trois and a girl named Quatre.
  • Wham Shot: At the end of Chapter 21, after Akari witnesses her husband's death at the hands of Queen Ciel, she (along with her unnamed newborn third daughter) gets engulfed in the bright light and is safety transported back to her original world.
  • Year Outside, Hour Inside: After Akari and her six children are transported back to her world, it is revealed she was gone for only three days, while she was in Abilfia for three months.
