• Nerd Glasses: Glasses with lenses so thick they're opaque.
• Smart People Wear Glasses: Showing that a character is smart by putting them in glasses.
• Purely Aesthetic Glasses: Wearing nonprescription glasses solely to look smart, sophisticated or cute.
• Unwanted Glasses Plot: Character has to get glasses, thinks they're ugly, tries to get out of wearing them (and may or may not succeed).
