International Competition Miss Mars is a fetish-y story written by Darien-Shields with input from SaburoX who draws most of the accompanying artwork.

In the future, Mars has been made suitable for human population. Rather than wage wars over it or face lengthy diplomacy sessions, the world's leaders decide to settle who will get Mars in a pageant along the lines of Miss Universe. Whoever can populate Mars fastest gets it. Thus, each country in the world selects a candidate to try and become as heavily pregnant as possible in order to win Mars for their nation. Fertility enhancers are allowed, but no contestant is allowed to know how many they're carrying. After a preliminary round, six finalists are selected:

  • Jin Mei Zhong from China
  • Emi Saito from Japan
  • Katy Liberty from the United States of America
  • Lady Victoria Cordelia Harewood of Kent from the United Kingdom
  • Elena Chistiakov from Russia
  • Mira Sandu from India

The story follows these six pregnant women as they try to make it through the duration of their incredibly uncomfortable and unusual pregnancies with their sanity intact. Other characters include the contest staff: Aurelia Nohansen, the girls' physical trainer; Kenji Nakamura, the contest physician; and Arsene Empote, the overly suspicious security officer of the hotel the contestants live in.

Tropes present in this work include:

  • Homage: Jin's job at the Ministry of Truth is a shout out to George Orwell's novel 1984, which means that Future China is implied to be an Orwellian government.
  • Multinational Team: The basis of the Miss Mars competition is to decide which country gets to keep Mars,so this trope is almost a given.
  • Mundane Made Awesome: Playing a paintball game with every war movie cliches thrown in.
  • Overly Long Name:
    • Lady Victoria Cordelia Harewood of Kent (and the outlying area)
    • Luis Diego Santiago Rafael Cervantes Le Cerna.
  • Put on a Bus: Mira is disqualified from the contest when it becomes apparent she isn't going to win. She disappears from the story. She however comes back at the end of the first season.
  • Teen Genius: Kenji was a genius medical student, given that he's one of the best doctors in the world despite barely being in his twenties.
