Heartwarming / Power Rangers Dino Fury

Go To

Episodes:

Episode 1: Destination Dinohenge
  • Amelia and Ollie not hesitating to defend Solon from Void Knight.
  • After learning about Zayto's past, Amelia and Ollie state that they're ready for training to help fight the Sporix.

Episode 2: Sporix Unleashed

  • Even though his team is new to being Rangers, Zayto is patient with both Ollie and Amelia in this episode, complimenting them when they successfully sync with him during the Morphing Call and telling Solon that they fought very well. Even with the fact that they lost the Sporix Cell to Void Knight, he at no point berates them for that, just happy he has a team again.

Episode 4: New Recruits

  • The pure joy in Javi and Izzy's voices from the moment they first morph until the end of the episode.
  • How shocked and thrilled Zayto is about getting two new rangers for the team, especially since he thought that those powers had been lost with the rangers wielding them.
  • While Warden Garcia has no clue where Javi could've gone, Izzy does, which shows that the step-siblings are pretty close.
    • Warden Garcia's biggest concern is that his son is all right. Izzy also mentions that he is very supportive of her getting into sports.
  • Even though they're a blended family, it's clear that the Garcias regard each other as their real family. Izzy calls Warden Garcia "Dad" and only mentions in passing that he's her stepfather, and she and Javi have a sibling bond that is thicker than blood.

Episode 5: Winning Attitude

  • Izzy's cousin Lily has CHARGE syndrome (just like the actress playing her), but the only time her disability is mentioned is when the humans explain what the Special Olympics are to Zayto. She's treated as a normal person by the Power Rangers and Izzy states that Lily is an amazing coach, makes great protein smoothies and even won a medal of her own!
  • After being a jerk to her cousin Lily for not understanding her helping a friend by going shopping — said friend had her leg stuck in a cast and Lily was helping with grocery shopping — Izzy realizes how bad she was and apologizes with Lily instantly forgiving her.
  • During the race, Izzy sees her chief rival trip on a branch and get injured. After being so intense in wanting to win this race, Izzy sacrifices her chance at victory to help the girl out. This becomes even more heartwarming in later episodes when Izzy and said rival, Fern, eventually end up as a couple.
  • Warden Garcia is far more proud of Izzy showing such sportsmanship and warmth in her loss than he ever would with her winning.

Episode 6: Superstition Strikes

  • Amelia is down in the dumps because her bad luck caused her to lose her damaged Morpher, and accidentally injured Izzy and Javi. Fortunately, Solon gives her a good lesson about positive thinking to change her luck around, and that helps Amelia regain her confidence and be the one to save the day.

Episode 7: Stego Search

  • At the end of the episode, the Rangers chip in and buy Javi a new keytar to replace the one his father confiscated earlier.

Episode 8: Unexpected Guest

  • We find out that the Morphin Masters were Benevolent Precursors, not only creating the Dino Gems, Energems and the Ninja Nexus Prism, but watching over the teams. This is obviously retroactive Heartwarmings for other series as they might have had a hand at resurrecting Steel and Kendrix!
  • It's revealed Void Knight is collecting Sporix to somehow revive a woman he calls his love, promising it won't be long until they're together again. You heard that right, he ain't gonna conquer the world. He just wants to revive his lover, nothing more, nothing less.

Episode 9: Cut Off

  • Though they're initially dismissive of Ollie's plan, once they realize that he's almost figured out a way to turn all his glamping gadgets into a giant crossbow to take out the signal-jamming balloon, they immediately help him upgrade it again and take it out. It's also a nice mirror to last time he tried helping with a gadget, because this time it works.

Episode 10: Phoning Home

  • Solon's attitude towards Zayto the whole episode - trying to make him food from Rafkon, consoling him when he realizes Slyther's deception, and helping him send out multiple messages for any survivors.

Episode 11: McScary Manor

Episode 12: Super Hotshot

  • Fern (the rival from Episode 5) interacting with Izzy and thanking for taking the time to help her out.
  • The other rangers pooling their money together so Izzy can buy a new uniform and keep going to her new gym.
    • Though it takes a downturn when Izzy realizes that Coach Bella is basically using the gym to leech money off of her clientele, Izzy immediately uses the money to buy back Adrian's watch (a gift from his grandfather which he traded off for exchange of the coat) instead.

Episode 13: The Matchmaker

  • Izzy forgives her brother for trying to set her up with Adrien, understanding that he had good intentions for it.
    • The ending has Izzy going on a date with Fern complete with Holding Hands, making her the first LGBTQ Power Ranger in the TV shownote . Even better is that the other rangers aren't surprised — especially Zayto who would have every right to question this — but instead are smiling and so supportive of the relationship!
Amelia: (gasping and squeeing in delight) Look at them!
  • Even Adrien, the one Javi assumed was the person his sister has a crush on, doesn't have any hard feelings. In fact he's the one who points out to Javi about Izzy and Fern together.
  • Even when Javi was trying to "push" Fern away from his sister, he respects her when she states that she wasn't dating guys at the moment.

Episode 14: Old Foes

  • Solon acting adorable by hiding her face with her claws so she can be surprised at all the costumes.
  • Ollie admits that he is scared of something; losing his friends. The other rangers console him with a Group Hug. Awww....

Episode 16: Ancient History

  • Even though everyone else is mad that Zayto did not tell them that Rafkon created the Sporix and he was responsible for the destruction of his planet, Solon still sticks by him as she sympathizes with him. She even gives him good advice on what he can do to improve as a leader when Zayto begins to doubt himself.
  • After alls said and done, Aiyon and Zayto become friends again and end the episode doing a friendly spar like they always did as the other Rangers watch. The other Rangers also have big smiles on their faces, showing that there's no hard feelings about Zayto's secret.

Episode 18: Crossed Wires

  • The beginning of the episode has Izzy calling Fern her "girlfriend" on screen and giving her a kiss on the cheek (a cheek-to-cheek kiss, but still!). If there were any doubts from episode 13 that Izzy and Fern were just friends, this throws it out the window.
  • The episode's Aesop is all about how some people learn better through hands-on than books, which received a lot of praise from viewers.

Episode 21: Void Trap

  • Dr. Akana stating how proud she is of her son being a Power Ranger.
  • Ollie apologizes to Zayto for doubting his judgement on trusting his mom to help them.
  • Solon arriving to congratulate everyone on stopping Void Knight.
  • The Green Morphing Master arrives and restores Dinohenge and the Dino Fury rangers' connections to the Power Grid.

Episode 22: Secret Santa

  • Javi getting advice from the real Santa Claus on what he should give his friends for Christmas. Santa even notes that the best gift he ever got was from Mrs. Claus giving him some gloves.
  • The sight of the Rangers having a Christmas tree with Javi topping it with a star ornamentnote . And then Amelia arrives with Christmas Cards for the Rangers!
  • The Secret Santa gifts (minus Aiyon's gift for Amelia being a sander) are all kinds of heartwarming: Ollie gives Izzy an electronic kit, Izzy got Zayto a custom-made jacket with "Izzy's Gym" on the back, Amelia repaired Ollie's ghost hoodie, and Zayto made homemade ice cream for Aiyon.
    • Javi's gift for Solon is his old Christmas songbook since she gets stage fright and forgets the lyrics to songs. The episode even ends with everyone, and Santa, singing "Jingle Bells".
    • Zayto's gift is especially heartwarming because he recreated a flavor from his and Aiyon's home planet, making that ice cream one of the few tangible links they have to their home.

Episode 27: Stitched Up

  • The entire episode is nothing but heartwarming fuzzy feelings as Izzy and Fern are heading off for prom. Both of them are flustered at how they wanted to be the one to ask the other out.
  • Warden Garcia is so happy and proud of his daughter and even takes photos of her and Fern together.
  • Izzy's mom being nothing but supportive of Izzy's relationship. When it looks like she's totally misunderstood her daughter in a stock "TV parent misunderstands their child" moment, it turns out she hadn't; the dress was for Fern, while Izzy got the tux that she asked for. Not to mention that she never got mad after Izzy accidentally causes the dress she made to get ruined, understanding that Izzy still has some hang-ups from how her mother treated her when she was younger. Not only do they patch things up, they work together to make a new dress for Fern.
  • The end of the episode reveals that Javi rented a limo for his little sister and the other Power Rangers are going to accompany her and Fern!

Episode 28: Jam Session

  • Javi and his father, Warden Garcia, reconciling with each other with the former deciding to make music his career, while the latter apologizes for being too hard at him and promises to support him in his dream.

Episode 29: New Leaf

  • Ollie realizing how much of an know-it-all jerkass he has been to Amelia for belittling her beliefs. At the end of the episode, he thanks her for helping him with the tree antidote, before giving her a Heartfelt Apology for all the times he mocked her for her belief in the supernatural stuff, to which she is more than happy to accept. The two then share a hug.
  • Ollie even agrees to tag along with her on her next ghost hunt, to which she reveals she had already gotten him a snare gun.
  • Void Knight's absolute horror at the pointless cruelty his wife causes and betrays her by telling the Rangers about the Sporix's weakness.

Episode 31: The Hunt

  • When Amelia is given the green light by Jane to investigate a ghost sighting, Ollie is the first to volunteer to help her with the investigation, much to her surprise.
  • At the end of the episode, Ollie tells Amelia that he's ready to help her out on her next ghost hunt, as he really enjoyed working with her. Amelia thanks him, acknowledging how much he has changed since the first time they met.

Episode 32: Losers Weepers

  • Upon realizing how empty and lonely Aiyon feels inspite or because of all the stuff he bought with the money he found in a briefcase, he instead choses to give all the stuff he bought to other people to make them happy.

Episode 33: The Copycat

  • Warden Garcia owing up to his promise to support Javi's dream by encouraging him at the talent competition and jumping to his defense along with Izzy when another musician steals Javi's song.
  • When Javi plays a variety of instruments to win against the musician who sole his song, Warden Garcia is thrilled. In an earlier episode, he was frustrated that Javi changed instruments so much, but now he learned that it’s a skill to be able to play a variety of musical instruments.

Episode 35: Love Hate

  • Ollie bought a card and flowers to give Amelia, wanting to ask her to be his Valentine. While he doesn't end up giving the card to her himself, Amelia is given the card by J-Borg.
  • The card itself has a a picture of two robots (coincidentally, one of them is blue and the other is pink) with the words "Nuts about you." Amelia is touched by the note written in the card, and also happy that Ollie wanted her to be his Valentine.
  • Amelia confessing her feelings to Ollie actually manages to jolt him awake from the effects of the monster's poison.
  • By the end of the episode, Ollie and Amelia undergo a Relationship Upgrade.

Episode 38: Wishful Thinking

  • Amelia's wish was simply to see her parents, even for just one moment. When the wish doesn't come true, Ollie tells her that he believes that she will find them someday.
  • Ollie simply wished to get a hug from his mom, thinking it would be impossible for the charm to grant, as she was in Japan. When he sees her at Buzz Blast, the first thing he does is hug her.
  • Dr. Akana talking with Javi about her own struggles over the years to get where she is in her field, telling him he can get there too without some wishing coin.
  • Subtle moment, but as the team make their way to Mucus's stand, Amelia can be seen with her arms wrapped around Ollie's arm, a little reminder that the two are now a couple. Later, when the spells are broken, Ollie lifts her off the ground and spins as he hugs her.

Episode 39: Things Unspoken

  • Fern confessing to Izzy (as the Green Dino Fury Ranger) that she loves Izzy and hasn't had a chance to say that to her, and is now worrying that she might never get to say it. At the end of the episode, Izzy tells Fern "I love you, too", causing Fern to act in confusion. Why "too", though? Until she realizes that Izzy is the Green Dino Fury Ranger and heard her love confession. The two reconcile and Fern vows to keep Izzy's secret identity safe.
Fern: Promise we'll keep supporting each other's decisions no matter what?
Izzy: That's what people who love each other do, right?
    • Fern leaves for college on a bus and wishes Izzy good luck with one of Zordon's lines:
Fern: May the power protect you!

Episode 40: Guilt Trip

  • Amelia and Ollie are making plans to visit a haunted hotel, and Ollie is equally excited as Amelia to be going.

Episode 43: The Truth

  • Once the other Rangers see that Amelia is a Rafkonian, Zayto and Aiyon are beaming that they had someone of their own species fighting alongside them all along.
  • The reveal that Pop-Pop isn't Amelia's biological grandfather, he rescued her from Area 62 and raised her as his own family to keep his promise to a pair of aliens that were trapped. Said aliens being Santaura and Tarrick.
    • Just the fact that Tarrick put his faith in Pop-Pop, an unassuming janitor. Without this act of trust, Amelia would not have survived.

Episode 44: The Nemesis

  • The Time Skip shows that Santaura is pregnant with another girl and she and Tarrick are playfully arguing about what color her crib should be. Pop-Pop chimes in with a color he's painted other cribs, showing that he's considered a part of their family too, and Amelia reveals that her baby sister would like their mother's color choice.
  • Pretty much everyone gets a happy ending of some sorts. Aiyon has a bakery, Izzy is breaking records and still with Fern, Javi's music career is moving forward, Amelia and Ollie are helping Rafkonians settle on Earth and Jane and J-borg are planning to open a new branch of Buzzblast in Angel Grove. Even Slyther and Mucus have changed sides, as a poster shows a "Mr. Sly's Magic Show" with familiar human versions of the two.

They had been trying to figure out filming locations via behind-the-scenes pictures and videos and were lucky to come across them that day. The actors happily took pictures with them and were touched that their season hadn't even aired yet but still meant so much to this kid and his dad.
