Episode 1: Destination Dinohenge

  • Zayto's backstory feels like this as he describes how the Sporix Beasts ravaged his homeworld Rafkon, and while he managed to defeat them 65 million years ago, it came at the cost of his allies. While it is never specified, it is clear that Knights that fought alongside Zayto lost their lives and he is the last of them alive to tell the tale.

Episode 2: Sporix Unleashed

  • Zayto's expression when Amelia's trying to figure out how to tell him that the dinosaurs went extinct not long after he went into stasis.

Episode 3: Lost Signal

  • The first scene is Zayto staring at a pendant he has worn around his neck...a gift from his mother before he headed off to fight the Sporix. It's the only item he has left of his original home as everyone he ever knew and loved are dead at this point.
  • The work to figure out who was sending that message was for nothing, as it's not in a language anyone can decipher. The only hope is that Zayto can deliver his own message and someone from Rafkon will hear it.

Episode 5: Winning Attitude

  • Izzy coldly dismisses her cousin Lily (who it should be noted has CHARGE Syndrome) for why she was running late (going shopping with her friend Mona). Even when Lily tells Izzy that winning isn't everything, Izzy refuses to listen.
    • On the day of the race, Izzy meets with Mona...who had broken her leg and is in a wheelchair and the shopping was at the supermarket because she couldn't get items from the top shelf. Mona states that she's here to cheer Izzy on and has heard so many stories about her from Lily. It's here that Izzy realizes how rude she was to her cousin.

Episode 7: Stego Search

  • This episode shows more of the strained relationship between Javi and Carlos Garcia. First, Garcia confiscates Javi's newly bought keytar with the intent of returning it back to the store, and not even letting Javi have a chance to explain himself. Then, when Izzy gets injured during a battle against Boomtower, Javi brings her back to Garcia, who accuses Javi of not doing enough to protect his step-sister. What makes this last point harsher is the fact that Javi clearly wants to tell his father the full story, but can't because of Zayto's secret identity rule.

Episode 8: Unexpected Guest

  • We finally find out why Void Knight is so dead set on collecting The Sporix: the love of his life is unconscious and he needs their energy to revive her. As evil as he is, he genuinely loves her and is clearly hurt by her current state.
Void Knight: Please forgive me. There's been another setback. I know you're impatient. We both are. But I promise it won't be long. Whatever the cost, we'll be together again soon...my love...

Episode 10: Phoning Home

  • Slyther's entire plan hinges on giving Zayto a Hope Spot that Rafkon is still alive and banking on his optimism in order to betray him later. It's hard to watch Zayto get his hopes up when the audience knows the whole time it's not true.
    • Zayto and Solon start the episode as close as ever, but as soon as she starts questioning "Arla's" cover he lashes out at her for interfering. He apologizes in the end, but it's rough watching the two at odds.
    • And then Solon nearly dies while trying to stop Slyther from getting the Sporix.
  • Mucus tries to befriend Slyther throughout the episode, and he constantly mocks and rebuffs her. She might be a bad guy, but she's still pretty torn up that what she thought would be her new robot friend is being as mean as Void Knight.

Episode 11: McScary Manor

  • Amelia under the effects of the Mood Blast yells at Pop Pop for not believing in her.
  • Pop Pop explains Amelia's past to the Pink Ranger (not knowing they're the same person). He had promised her parents that he'd look after her in case something happened to them - and then they disappeared under mysterious circumstances. And the reason Amelia is obsessed with the supernatural is because she thinks it'll help her find a clue towards her parents.

Episode 12: Super Hotshot

  • Coach Bella forcing Izzy's friend Adrian to give up his grandfather's watch in order to pay for a gym uniform.

Episode 13: The Matchmaker

  • Fern's expression when Javi tells her she should leave so he can set up Izzy with Adrian. You can tell her thinking "does Izzy not like me? Does Javi think me and her shouldn't date?" It's rough, but at least it gets better by the end.
  • Izzy gets furious at Javi for meddling with her life, especially since now one of their civilian friends is in danger, and Javi likewise feels terrible for being the cause of the week's crisis.

Episode 16: Ancient History

  • All those tear jerkers with Zayto? It gets so much worse when you learn the story behind the Sporix who were created by Rafkon as protectors and it's Zayto's fault that they were unleashed and destroyed his planet. Even worse is that Aiyon warned Zayto not to do it and has justified beef with Zatyo being the leader.

Episode 20: Waking Nightmares

  • It's clear that both Aiyon and Zayto suffer from PTSD from losing their fellow knights and nearly dying in the same incident that killed them.

Episode 21: Void Trap

  • A Sympathy for the Devil case for Void Knight as his plan to finally revive his love Santaura falls apart. Even sadder is that due to Dramatic Irony, the Rangers are completely unaware of his true goal, which makes their efforts to stop him and destroy his machine seem monstrous.

Episode 29: New Leaf

  • Void Knight finally succeeds in resurrecting his lover only to find out that some unknown event in the past has warped her into a vengeful and cruel woman hellbent on exterminating humankind. He's downright horrified when he sees the victims of her plan — a daughter turned into a tree with her father in anguish — and this becomes Harsher in Hindsight near the end of the series.

Episode 33: The Copycat

  • Santaura shows just how much her hatred of mankind has consumed her when she sees no problem electrocuting the man revealed to be her husband and then turning him into a monster just because he objected to her insane plans. Tarrick sacrificed practically everything just to bring her back to life only to be repaid in abuse.

Episode 35: Love Hate

  • Ollie and Amelia's romantic subplot has a series of hurdles to overcome before they finally get their long-awaited Relationship Upgrade:
    • Ollie plans on confessing his feelings to Amelia on Valentine's Day, but his nerves get the better of him and he throws away the card and daisies he planned to give her.
    • Amelia discovers the abandoned card and realizes what Ollie meant to say. She goes to talk to him, but unknown to her, he has fallen under Zedd's mind control, which forces him to coldly dismiss her. Worse yet, Ollie is fully aware of what's happening, but the spell has made him a prisoner in his own body, stoically carrying out Zedd's orders no matter how much he doesn't want to.
    • Ollie's friends break Zedd's hold on him, but the result knocks him into a deep slumber. As the others try to devise a suitable shock that might wake him up, Amelia stays by his side and her Love Confession finally brings Ollie back.

Episode 38: Wishful Thinking

  • Offered a wish, what does Amelia ask for?
Amelia: I wish I could see my parents, even just for a moment.

Episode 39: Things Unspoken

  • Fern is terrified that she's not able to call Izzy — who is actually standing right next to her as the Green Dino Fury Ranger — and stating that Izzy means so much to her and that she loves her...before realizing that this is the first time she ever confessed that she loves Izzy, making her even more worried that she may never get to say this to her face, all while Izzy is just watching her girlfriend go through cycles of worry and uncertainty and she can't say anything.
    • Earlier, Izzy is unable to tell Fern that she's the Green Dino Fury Ranger, especially since this is in light of Fern heading off to a university. This act makes Fern nearly break up with her.

Episode 43: The Truth

  • Tarrick and Santaura's backstory. They, along with their baby, crashed to Earth and were captured by Area 62 who refused to let them go despite being told they only ended up on Earth to refuel and resupply. One day, something went wrong at the facility which led to the personnel evacuating but they were trapped, Tarrick reached out to a passing janitor and begged him to get their baby to safety and made him promise to protect her if they didn't make it. Not long after handing her over, a massive explosion happened which caused them to believe their baby had been killed and is the main cause for Santaura's hatred of humans.
    • The worst part is who the janitor was. It's none other than Pop-Pop, who could've gone back to Area 62 all these years if he didn't think it was radioactive and tell Tarrick that he's been raising Amelia. Even worse, since the first episode, Tarrick has unknowingly been fighting his daughter and had no idea she was the Pink Dino Fury Ranger until now.
    • Even worse? Go back to "New Leaf" and recall that a young girl was turned into a tree and her father is in mourning. This haunted Tarrick because he was remembering how he gave his own daughter for safety.

Episode 44: The Nemesis

  • Aiyon has to once again, watch a fellow Ranger die in battle against the Sporix. This time it's his best friend Zayto, who is also the last of the Rafkonian knights from 65 million years ago. Thankfully Zayto is revived, but that must have been a rough 6 months for Aiyon.
