     Season 1
  • Will, shocked from learning about the existence of magic, is afraid to take up the Heart and become a Guardian. Jackie tells her that he relates to her I Just Want to Be Normal reaction but has chosen to stay involved in fighting the Forces of Darkness because it's the right thing to do. He then assures her that she isn't alone in facing what the future holds and may yet enjoy good experiences and gain new friends from her adventures like he has. He also promises to be there for her whenever she feels she needs him to, convincing her to take the Heart.
  • When Jackie is disappointed with Jade for going against her promise not to involve the Guardians with the Dark Hand, the girls defend Jade by going along with her Loophole Abuse logic; she was merely warning them, and they themselves decided to fight the Talisman-equipped criminals. Jade is touched by their support, and Jackie is glad that his niece has friends who are willing to take responsibility for their own actions.

    • At the end of the chapter, Jade gives Will a magically created group photo of the Guardians, the Chan Clan, Caleb and Yan Lin as a birthday present. She says that she wanted to make Will something special because she finally has friends who are of her own age and live in the same world of magic and adventure as she does. Will is brought to Tears of Joy.
  • In "The Labyrinth", Jade compares the suffering of Meridian's people to the rewritten reality where the Demon Sorcerers ruled the Earth and is about to tear up over the fact that unlike with Earth's humans, the suffering of Meridian's folks cannot be erased from existence. Hay Lin, Taranee, Irma and Cornelia comfort her by assuring her that they will bring Phobos and his tyranny down.

  • While Tohru's mother is angry and disappointed to learn from Tohru that he used to be Valmont's thug and lied about both that and Valmont to her, she makes it clear that her anger and disappointment are directed towards Valmont and that she's happy that Tohru is now surrounded by people she can actually trust to look after him.
  • After the heroes are rescued from Elias' painting, Uncle compliments Tohru for making on his own the spell that allowed the Talismans to work there by saying that he'll make a good chi wizard someday.
  • When Irma reluctantly has a date with Martin in order to distract him, she ends up actually enjoying the evening and rewards him with a peck on the cheek.

In "The Seal of Phobos", they insist on accompanying her when Wong offers to give her magical instructions, planning to protect her if the wizard tries to harm her. By the time of "A Chantastic Prison Break", they have become so loyal to her that they silently agree to protect her from Phobos and the other villains.
