- Even following her "The Reason You Suck" Speech and accompanying tit-for-tat with Bond, M reminds him during her briefing that he wasn't personally responsible for Alec Trevalyan's death and finishes by bidding him to come back alive.
- Q's Actually Pretty Funny reaction to Bond's lame "the writing's on the wall" joke is actually pretty sweet, like the joke actually caught him by surprise. It shows that even though Q and 007 are often at odds with each other, Q still has a lot of affection for him.
- Natalya's relationship with Bond. Watching her go from terrified Properly Paranoid Woobie on the run to Fire-Forged Friends is a joy to behold.
- After Bond is captured, Janus confiscates his gadgets and appears to become slightly nostalgic upon seeing them, asking how Q is doing and then revealing he still has his old gadget watch from back when he was an agent. Even if he's now an unrepentant criminal with a deep grudge against the British government, he still can't hide that there were indeed some things he enjoyed about being a spy, and Q was clearly one of them.
