- Any instance of Bunny showing compassion, especially towards Chopper. Notable examples are:
- Consoling Chopper when he's shaken from a hallucination.
- Pouncing upon him in glee when she realises he survived the Apartment Block explosion.
- Dodge's cheeriness is infectious. Although it only worsens the impact of the mutiny's failure, it's genuinely heartwarming to see how much he believes in his mutiny, even after all they've been through.
- Even moreso with Ripley, the optimistic pun-maker who always stays true to the Mutiny of Friends, even in death.
- The Flashback/dream sequence shows what the Mutiny of Friends was like before they were bumped off, and the friendly atmosphere - Mr 16's optimism, Dodge's enthusiasm, the little background interactions between members, even Blanko reluctantly admitting that the mutiny is founded on friendship - forms a feeling of happy unity among this ragtag bunch.
- Dodge is just one big barrel of joy. His pep talks, his one-liners, even if he's a little naive there's no character more positive.
- He even puts his faith in Bunny. Bunny. Who just maimed another mutineer, tried to kill him and he admits is a mysterious figure - he still trusts her to take them to safety via the Repulsion Zone.
- As Bunny tries to kill him, he holds her, declaring his trust as she holds her knife above his back - her face falls, she drops her knife, and she falls away, unable to fight.
- Although Chopper's hallucination of Dodge after he's lost in the Repulsion Zone is bittersweet in tone, hearing Chopper speak with such love and hope really brings a flutter to your chest.
- When Bunny awakens in her cell, among her jumble of thoughts is 'Where is Chopper' and 'Where's Hyeon-Jeong' (AKA Caligula). It's rare that we see an insight into Bunny's thoughts, but her first concern being her best friend and whatever Caligula is to her? That's sweet.
- Bunny thanks the civillian who gives her her food. Sure, she might've just been trying to get them to open the slot again, but...
- Dr. LaPinsky and Dr. Glacier's spontaneous tickle fight in Chapter 3. There's a clear indication that there's more between them than just colleagues, and seeing the cynical Dr. Glacier so happy is a delight.
- Glacier starts writing in LaPinsky's diary, referring to herself as Helga's 'colleague', after crossing out 'friend'. LaPinsky ends a diary entry saying that Glacier can call her her friend, if she wants.
- Glacier's determination to protect and comfort LaPinsky in general. Especially since Glacier is sort of portrayed from the beginning as a cold, aloof loner.
