Episodes 1 - 7
- Mo Yuan's disciples are thoroughly outmatched by a Combat Hand Fan and end up paralysing each other to try and catch it.
- Bai Qian, now Si Yin, being more concerned about whether Mo Yuan can tell if she's a girl than bowing to the God of War, despite everyone staring at her. Then how she acts childishly about her place in the disciple seniority.
- Si Yin and Zi Lan's commentary over a man hitting on a woman and how another man (either her husband or a hero) will always show up dressed in white. They scurry off as said hero is beating the crap out of several other guys who tried to back up the first.
- Si Yin flat out tells Yao Guang that she refuses to be her disciple as she's acting shamelessly and Mo Yuan's little finger is 1000 times better than her. Yao Guang isn't amused by this to say the least, especially when Si Yin repeats it upon being dared to.
- Mo Yuan's disciples eavesdrop on his confrontation with Yao Guang. As soon as he looks over at them, they all try to hide behind a rock. His smile makes it clear he isn't fooled.
- Si Yin lamely tries to say that Xuan Nu can't stay in her room since "I'm also a man"; Mo Yuan just stares at her until she gives in. She is soon aghast at transcribing 30,000 copies of an ancient text because her "fox claws will fall off".
- Si Yin convincing Ling Yu to go with her to Qing Qui. The poor guy keeps trying to find ways to say "no" until he can't fight the logic that she's just going to go anyway and since he's supposed to look out for her, he's going to have to follow.
- Si Yin, who is known to like a drink, gets so hammered on the alcohol of the Ghost Realm, she's asleep for ten days.
- Li Jing trying to figure out his attraction to Si Yin (save for when he's too forceful).
- Whilst it's also somewhat tear-jerking and heart-warming, there is something inherently funny about Si Yin offering to chop herself up to put into a stew for Mo Yuan to show how sorry she is. Perhaps its how illogical this is, and the fact Mo Yuan breaks from meditating just to give a tiny chuckle.
- The first words/thoughts of the golden lotus spirit i.e. Ye Hua, speaking to his One True Love Si Yin/Bai Qian are ultimately to call her a "dumb fox".
- Si Yi/Bai Qian is surprised to say the least when she learns that her parents have arranged for her to marry Sang Ji, the second prince of the Nine Heavens. She doesn't seem to think much of him at seeing him, and her reaction has to be hastily covered up by Mo Yuan's lie that she's happy to hear the name of her benefactor, Zhe Yan.
- The Heavenly Emperor is intent on discussing the war with the Ghost Tribe. Meanwhile Dong Hua is more interested in his tea cup and asking Mo Yuan if he can have a replica.
Episodes 8 - 27
- Si Ming and some of his friends try very subtly to set up Dijun and Feng Jiu. Dijun knows what they're doing.Dijun: Did you all agree to come to my study to act out a play?
- Ye Hua's thoughts whilst he's a snake and Su Su is taking care of him.
- Snake Ye Hua is so adorably stunned when Su Su kisses him that he is physically taken aback and would likely have a hell of a blush if he were human. Mind you she did it to force him to eat raw meat. When he still refuses, she asks if he wants another kiss. Treating this as if it's a threat, he reluctantly eats.
- When he's faking serious injuries, dribbles quite a lot of blood from his mouth whilst assuring a panicked Su Su it's not that bad. Ye Hua then notices that she's crying and wonders if he overdid it, causing him to quickly fix the damage and claim she must have used a miracle herb. Understandably, she is skeptical of how okay he is.
- Su Su's ineptitude at cooking and directions makes Ye Hua wonder just how she managed to survive living alone on a mountain full of monsters without him.
- Every time the con-artist Daoist priest shows up he gets a comeuppance: hit with lightning, doused in water from a dragon god, reduced to a drunken wreck by Si Ming's alteration of fate.
Episodes 28 - 58
- Bai Qian meets A-Li digging up the Eastern Water King's garden because he wants to see the pretty coral bed. She helps him by giving him a magical weapon... which ends up with the garden rather messy.
- To calm A-Li, Bai Qian says that Ye Hua is her sweetheart, her darling and precious honey (or words to that effect). A-Li later repeats this in front of Ye Hua who is ecstatic and promptly uses the words to tease her.
- Anytime A-Li is an unintentional wingman for his father. Also any time he innocently gets involved topics beyond his maturity - dating, babies and wandering into brothels.
- Any time that Ye Hua's idea of flirting with Bai Qian means that he teases her in some way.
- Upon waking up and finding A-Li has wandered off, Bai Qian uses a mirror to see that he's in a brothel. She then has to ask a teahouse patron where the brothel is - she is dressed as a man at this point. The guy directs her, then sadly comments that the world is a depressing place because a well-to-do young man is so dissolute.
- Both Ye Hua and A-Li have a go at the drunk guy who hits on Bai Qian whilst thinking she's a pretty man. When the man says Don't you know who I am?, Ye Hua makes him disappear and claims he doesn't know where when Bai Qian asks.
- Whilst the scene can be serious, Zhe Yan trying to bait Ye Hua into a reaction about Mo Yuan's imminent return comes across as funny. Especially when he explains that Bai Qian imagined Mo Yuan to have three heads and six arms, and then flat-out called him a Pretty Boy (specifically like the men in plays who seduce woman in dark gardens) to his face.
- Bai Qian says that Ye Hua doesn't have enough stamina to paint for long periods as he is recovering from being severely injured and losing most of his power. Cheng Yu very quickly picks up on the phrase, whilst Ye Hua's expression rapidly falls and panics as he also absorbs the accidental insult to his manhood. Meanwhile, A-Li questions what his father's lack of stamina means. The result is that Ye Hua gets frustrated, picks Bai Qian up over his shoulder, tells Cheng Yu to take A-Li to rest and then carries the embarrassed Bai Qian back to his hall to prove he does have stamina. Cheng Yu and A-Li are left staring and gasping and smiling as a result.
- Zi Lan ran out on Chang Shan at Kunlun by claiming one of the cranes needed tending. Chang Shan calls him out on this, only after they cheerfully reunite upon Zi Lan's return.
- The disciples of Kunlun going absolutely gaga over how adorable A'Li is. They then spend considerable time teasing Bai Qian for being both a spinster and the first amongst them to have a child, teasing Die Feng for being the senior and yet single, and just having fun again. Bai Qian even warns her friends not to frighten her "Riceball".
- The look on A'Li's face when he sees Mo Yuan is actually pretty funny. He looks from Mo Yuan to Bai Qian in confusion, and it's clear he's wondering for a moment why Mo Yuan looks just like his dad. When Bai Qian tells him they're twins, A'Li lets it sink in but wonders what the proper form of address is as Mo Yuan is such a high ranking elder god, but also his uncle.
- How the series ends is mostly heartwarming with Bai Qian and Ye Hua being reunited. What's funny about it is that Ye Hua tells A-Li he has to play six games of Go with Zhe Yan before he's allowed to spend time with his parents. A-Li is clearly not happy about this, particularly because he can't possibly beat Zhe Yan who flat out says that Ye Hua chose Bai Qian over his son and A-Li needs to accept it.
