    Act One

Episode 1: The Mission to Recruit Princess Peach...?

  • Wario’s entire attempt to sneak up on Samus and his consequent failure to do so. His reaction to realizing that Samus is wearing her Power Armor is probably what takes the cake.
    • And then there’s Bowser’s thoughts on the whole situation after Samus blasts Wario to Onett.
Bowser: Be careful, Wario. You might actually annoy her next time.
    • Hell, the revelation that Wario has done this sort of thing with Samus so much that not only does Bowser expect him to fail, but also knows exactly where and when Wario will crash land after being shot down by her is utterly hilarious.
  • After briefly musing over Mario’s whereabouts, Peach finally relents to Bowser and decides to join his team for the Smash King tourney, if only because she wants to prove herself. Bowser attempts to give her some encouraging words, but they...kind of backfire on him.
Bowser: …If it gets too tough for ya, I will always protect you.
    Bowser: OWWW! Auugh…
    • About a minute later, Peach asks Bowser who their third teammate will be, only to turn around and find him offering her a Fire Flower as a "token of his affection". She throws a turnip at him for his troubles.
    • In the second half of the episode, Mario finds himself in the new world of Brawl, and is very confused and full of angst. Right as he’s crossing the Bridge of Eldin, Mario swears to himself that he’s going to find Bowser…only to get interrupted by a Falcon Kick in the face.
    • Shortly afterwards, Falcon starts boasting to Mario about his plans to dominate the Smash King tourney. He then starts doing a series of flips, kicks and punches that quickly start to bore the Italian Plumber. After he makes an offhand remark about Falcon’s ineptness, the Captain challenges Mario to a fight, which he proceeds to get completely curbstomped in.
    • After their one-sided fight, Captain Falcon trips away in shock that Mario defeated him so easily. When Mario attempts to defend himself, Captain Falcon interrupts him to go on a lengthy, unimportant monologue about proving his speed and strength, only to realize that Mario decided to jet in the middle of his ramblings. He then promptly gets run over by Wario's motorcycle.

Episode 2: The Hunt for a Dragon

  • The utterly humiliating verbal and physical beatdown Ike gets from Pit and Peach and Wolf respectively for accidentally interrupting an Exhibition Match at the episode’s beginning, thinking that Peach was being attacked by Wolf, and needed to be rescued.
    • Pit tries to apologize to President Dedede for Ike’s disruption, but the President laughs it off, declaring that what they’re getting now is more than a fair make-up for what happened.
  • The entire scene with Wario caught in a Spot the Imposter situation between Bowser... and Kirby wearing a Bowser hat. He manages to solve it though, by attempting to send both of them off stage. Bowser loses a life, and Kirby makes a recovery, which helps Wario to determine he's the fake. When Bowser comes back, he gives his three-two-one countdown before beating him up. It fades to black and you hear the two of them ad-lipping the whole thing.
    Bowser: Three...
    Wario: Three?
    Bowser: Two...
Wario: Uh-oh. Uh, Bowser? C-can we talk about this?
    Bowser: One...
Wario: Whatever happened to, "I'll give you to the count of three"?!
    • There’s also Wario lampshading that Kirby had very little reason to steal Bowser’s identity in the first place, other than to annoy everyone with his copying gimmick.
  • After reluctantly deciding to go with Wario to see who his latest pick as Bowser’s third teammate is, a random pink Charizard leaves Bowser’s house, much to the bafflement of Wario. To avoid answering Wario’s awkward question, Bowser quickly decides to go “wash up” to get ready to go out. realizes that he’s glowing, and asks Bowser to use his bathroom. Bowser immediately refuses, with the details on what happened the last time Wario used his bathroom left unclear.
  • The Overly Long Gag of Meta Knight explaining to Wario what he’s been up to while waiting for Bowser. Specifically, that he went to a tavern to try to calm his nerves by drinking a lot of water, only to piss himself and get kicked out, and then breaking his shield to warm himself up while waiting in the cold outside of New Pork City. Thankfully, he’s quick to prove himself which Wario wittily points out.
Wario: You see that? Meta Knight is quite...two-faced.
  • After accepting Meta Knight as part of Team Bowser, the Koopa King angrily clarifies to Wario that he didn’t sleep with the Charizard from earlier, and that they were merely playing Mario Kart (don’t ask how that works…) and that he let her sleep over at his place because it was late. Wario, of course, doesn’t believe him.
  • While likely a case of Special Effect Failure, one can’t help but chuckle at Ike’s self-destruct scream as Mario decides to chase after him out of New Pork City.
  • Although Ike is at first perturbed by Mario’s accompaniment of him, he perks up after realizing that Mario is also after a “dragon”, proclaiming that he always fights for his friends. Of course, this leads Mario to ask what kind of friends Ike actually has, to which he admits that he has none while he breaks down crying.
  • Eventually, Ike and Mario finally find the dreaded dragon that has invaded Ike’s castle, and it’s…a sleeping Yoshi. This causes the two of them to argue whether Bowser is a turtle or a dragon. This is followed by Ike attacking the Yoshi, which then uses its Final Smash to grow wings and take down both of them with its fire breath. As this happens, Mario lampshades that all his beliefs are now being thrown into question.
    • The music that plays during this scene “Trogdor the Burninator” by Strong Bad, makes this even more hilarious.
  • Finally, after defeating the Yoshi, Ike and Mario realize that they killed the mother of two newborn Yoshis, much their horror. Ike swears an oath to take care of and protect them as if they were his own…only for Mario to point out that they both seem more interested in Revenge instead. Cue the Benny Hill theme as they’re chased across Brawl.

Episode 3: The Knight, the Knave, and the Squire

  • President Dedede’s announcement, while mostly serving as exposition, does have some snide moments to chuckle at. At one point, he promises “no exceptions, no sob stories, and no bribes…at least not at this point that is.” Episode 4 would later prove that Dedede didn’t exactly enforce the “no bribes” part.
  • At the beginning of the episode, President Dedede announces the preparations for the Smash King Tourney are in order, with a preliminary exhibition match between Team Pikachu and Team Bowser kicking things off. Bowser enthusiastically gloats at the news…that he’s beating Lizardon at the video game they’re playing. He then realizes that he’s going to be late for the tourney, and then races for his airship, accidentally crushing Wario in the process. He wakes up with just enough time to complain about Bowser being aware of the time (Wario had been trying to warn him for at least 30 minutes), just as Lizardon also comes down the ladder and crushes him too.
  • During President Dedede’s opening announcement, multiple people who aren’t present at the B.S Society’s headquarters are watching the announcement from the safety of their own homes. This includes Captain Falcon, who somehow has his own TV at the Bridge of Eldin.
  • After Pikachu calls on Toon Link to be Team Pikachu’s representative for the first battle, Toon Link launches into an off-key Stylistic Suck version of The Link Song by Reinaldo Ikeya, with Kirby randomly joining in. The two then fight each other for a bit before Pikachu forces Toon Link to get going. They part while warning each other that their rivalry isn’t over.
Kirby: (as the screen turns dark for dramatic effect) I’ll be watching you. Everything you do…
  • As Meta Knight and Toon Link face off, Fox and Falco start chatting about the match. Or rather, Fox is trying to talk about the match, while Falco seems mostly disinterested. Fox gets so invested in the match that Falco has to pour water over his head to quite literally cool him down.
Falco: Wouldn’t want you to get too fired up!
    • Their commentary continues to be hilarious as they talk about Peach vs. Kirby, with Fox complaining about Falco’s somewhat sexist comments towards Peach. He attempts to clarify that it was meant to be a compliment. It seems that he was serious about it too, as Falco can’t help but admire Peach’s Final Smash before snapping back to attention to announce the match results.
  • After both Peach and Bowser commend Meta Knight on his spectacular first tournament match, the latter discovers Wario has somehow managed to get into the area where President Dedede made his speech and is helping himself to his Zero Suits, much to his team’s bemusement. Although Dedede initially wants to have security throw him out, Wario does some smooth talking to convince him to stay instead, causing Falco to utter “What the HELL, Dedede?!?”
    • Falco’s frustration is actually kind of understandable here. From his perspective, his boss just made him waste his time commentating an exhibition match to throw out an intruder…only to change his mind and invite him to stay instead. No wonder he’s annoyed!
  • As Peach prepares to face against Kirby, she decides to show off by giving her team leader some flattery. Bowser isn’t impressed, and tells Peach to refer to him by his full title “The powerful, the pleasurable, and the respectable King Bowser!” Meta Knight lampshades that Peach probably can’t hear him…only to be proven wrong when Peach demands Bowser call her by her full title.
  • Unlike most characters in the series, Peach is willing to entertain the notion of Kirby copying her without any objection. The way she offers this up to him is full of Double Entendre.
    • Kirby does attempt to mimic Peach after copying her…but she isn’t impressed.
    • The way Peach finishes Kirby off is by using her Final Smash to put him to sleep, and ending him with a death turnip. This is all after she offhandedly mentions that the fight was boring her, and that she plans to use a cheap kill to finish Kirby off.
  • Frustrated at having lost the exhibition match, Pikachu offers an All or Nothing solution for Team Bowser: pitting himself against Bowser for the win of the exhibition match. Wario remarks that Bowser couldn’t possibly be that stupid to accept such an ultimatum…only to be Instantly Proven Wrong when he accepts anyways.

    Filler Episodes/Miscellaneous
  • Every single intro that the creator, Tigura21 makes before the episode starts is enough to make one chuckle.
    • On occasion, Sonic’s VA JakShadic has usurped this role for shits and giggles. At one point, he actually gets kicked out for doing this.
  • Every single Jigglypuff sighting. Some of the places where she falls asleep are just ridiculous.
  • The running gag of Mario and Bowser constantly missing each other despite being in the same location.
  • Another fun gag is Captain Falcon being unable to hit anything with his Falcon Punch, much less stand up for himself in a fight. Becomes Running Gagged after his death however.
  • Wario's constant jabs that Liz is Bowser's secret mistress.
  • Whenever Bowser "dry humps" DK.
    • Then there's the running gag appearance in Racconto File 6, Bowser (chronologically for the first time) giving Donkey Kong his humiliating last *cough* blows.
  • Pretty much the entirety of Episode 5. Considering it stars Ensemble Dark Horse Wario as its central character (and Dedede serving as the "antagonist" of the episode), it's practically a given.
  • Ganondorf of all people gets a small moment, drolly remarking about his design shift between Melee and Brawl.
Ganondorf: I'm still here and alive. And got quite the handsome facelift. See my new nose?
  • Captain Falcon: SOMEBODY COME OUT HERE AND SHOW ME YOUR MOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVES!
    Bowser/Mario: NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
  • The filler shorts also count:
    • Meta-Physical:
Meta-Knight: Weeeell, to be truthful, I just started today. That battle with Team Kong was so pathetic I could scream! Except I wouldn't scream because that would be disturbing the peace, and I sure don't wanna be known as an attentive seeking blow-heart that nobody likes.
    Bowser: Uh-huh...
Meta-Knight: So, I've just been hacking and slashing at the sandbag, trying to figure out some sort of finishing combination tactic, but I can't come up with anything! And it doesn't help that I've been distracting myself with the thought of me slashing the sandbag without even a sign of a rip! I think to myself "How does the sandbag WORK like that? I'm using a sword!" And that makes me unable to make any kind of progress!
    • Bowser decides to help Meta-Knight with his training... for a fee.
Bowser: You keep that excessive whining of yours in check. Every time you whine, I'll send you straight to Hanenbow... for a FULL. Hour.
    Meta-Knight: A FULL HOUR?!
Bowser: Yeah, you're right. That's too evil; even for me. Make that thirty minutes.
Meta-Knight: Thirty minutes?! Most people lose their sanity after just two minutes in that place!
Bowser: Oh, I'm sorry? Is that whining I'm hearing?
Meta-Knight: Uh-ah-ah... no sir, I understand. (Walks away after Bowser tells him to get ready.) H-h-h-h-hanenbow. Leader is so strict. I rather take Cruel Brawl over there!
    • When Two Charizards Meet, in which Charizard the fitness instructor is trying to hit on Lizardon, and... lets his hormones get straight to his head.
    • The entirety of "Dr. Mario, I Presume." It comes to a head when Mario remembers the last time he checked Captain Falcon's groin back in Melee.
Mario: Alright, please drop your pants.
    Falcon: YES!
    *unzip, cue glow*
    Mario: What the!?
crotch: You dare destroy my own worlds and gaze upon greatness, you inferior pauper! May the supreme ones deliver divine justice!!!
    *Blinding Voip!"
Mario: Mama! My eyes! MY EYES!!!
    • Even better is Luigi's reaction to recalling that memory:
    Luigi: Ohhhhhhh...yeah...I remember that...
    • The special episode "Machines and Trophies" have a few. The best is when Kirby attempts to copy Ganondorf. Ganondorf replies with a line from Shakespeare, namely " for thou art not so long by the head as honorificabilitudinitatibus." Kirby attempts to repeat what Ganondorf says repeatedly before finally giving up and says "I hate you" before the screen goes black.
    • Another special episode, "Out of His Shell," involves Wario concocting a harebrained scheme to make Samus jealous. How does he do this? By getting Bowser to dress as a woman and be his date, although Wario has to dress and talk like a Pikachu the entire time as payback. The whole episode is full of nothing but witty banter.
  • Episode 10 has Wario and Meta Knight spying on Samus and Snake. When they notice Wolf had been following them, Wario goes silent for a moment, then...
    Wario: "Ooh, look, a puppy!"
  • Episode 15, where Wario and Liz go medieval on a bunch of Yoshis that stormed Hotel Bowser.
  • When Charizard learns Bowser's been arrested, he charges right to the BS Society's base demanding to see his student. This gruff dragon's pleas are so full of Manly Tears you can't help but snicker.
  • While having a deep conversation with Bowser in Episode 20, Lizardon suddenly freaks out at the revelation of Bowser being The Peeping Tom (due to him staring at her while she's about to take her armor off), and demands that he leaves. Understandably, Bowser books it and salivates over nearly getting a glimpse of Lizardon out of her armor...only to remember that she usually never wears clothes, being a Pokemon and all.
Bowser: Augh, you're always naked, woman!
Lizardon (laughing) : And you're always my dopey unwitting pawn, eh Loggerhead?
    • Earlier in the episode, Wario asks to make sure Lucario has pulled a complete Heel–Face Turn and won't be trying to betray them anytime soon. After Lucario confirms this, Wario also asks to pretend that Wario's initial...greeting to Lucario never happened. Cut to a brief scene of Wario going full Groin Attack on Lucario while an exasperated Bowser facepalms.
  • The spin-off series, Smash King HD, as a whole has more than its share of moments. The two that stand out include Pac-Man's overly cheerful personality (at a time when Bowser is clearly stressed out) and Ridley becoming the Butt-Monkey for Bowser and Liz's prank calls.
    • Wonders of the Miiverse is based around the entire concept of the characters reacting to the fan art found on the Miiverse stage. Highlights include Samus' anger at being a sex symbol, various characters negatively reacting to memes based on them, and the long awaited return of Mewtwo to the series, taking on Lucario.
  • The "Bowser Day" Smash King HD short has King K. Rool being huffy about how Bowser gets his own day, complaining that he doesn't have one despite being a King. Bowser then lists off all of his accomplishments in the mainline series, along with mentioning Liz, calling her his "Hot Charizard wife." After K. Rool asks why the Koopa King called him, Bowser asks him for the crown he's wearing. Bowser notes he really doesn't need it, but he wants it just so that he'd feel more like a king. After K. Rool refuses, there's a Gilligan Cut that shows a burning battlefield, where it shows Bowser has turned into Giga Bowser in order to coerce the crocodilian king into giving up his crown for the day. It works, with K. Rool fleeing in terror and begging Bowser to just make sure it's still in one piece when he's done.
  • The "A Perfect Mix Match" Smash King 2Decades short is a barrel of laughs from start-to-finish, where despite it being a formal event, a ton of miscommunication results in some characters being Underdressed for the Occasion. These include:
    • Bowser and Bayonetta being the only ones of the Neo Koopa Troop to be properly dressed for the gala.
    • Donkey Kong and Jasper arriving dressed in tank top and shorts due to the former misunderstanding Bayonetta's request. Donkey Kong is wearing the same funky clothes as Funky Kong, while Jasper is wearing Team Skull's uniform.
    • Cirrina the Inkling and Young Link arriving to the venue dressed in their casual clothing as they came straight from school. Cirrina's wearing Futaba's casual clothes, while Young Link is dressed in a plain blue T-Shirt and shorts, along with a facemask (one that muffles his voice, but he insisted on wearing to a large social event).
    • Richter Belmont arrives wearing an unbuttoned shirt and leaving his tie at home.
    • Wolf, also having come from the same school as Cirrina and Young Link, is wearing his school uniform that is ripped straight out of Beastars.
    • On top of all that, Robin and Chrom are the only ones of the High Council who didn't dress up for the ball, due to the latter forgetting to get his tuxedo and Robin's formalwear ready in time. Robin is visibly upset at Chrom throughout the whole short, especially when he of all people keeps trying to reinforce the dress code despite being underdressed himself.
    • The very last guest to appear before the short is over is King K. Rool, who apparently mistook the gala for a costume party, where he is shown to be wearing his Pirate Captain's costume.
