The perfect blend of smugness and derpy-ness. It Makes Sense in Context.

Warning! As per policy, all spoilers are unmarked.

  • After hearing Ethan wants to challenge the Goldenrod Gym, Bugsy tries to talk him out of it... And describes Whitney like a demon.
  • The fact most of the titles dealing with Goldenrod Gym are actually "MILTANK!", "What IF MILTANK was LAST GYM?", and "HOW BEAT MILTANK GYM", in honor of the most infamous Pokémon from that Gym.
  • The entirety of episode 9, dedicated to show the terror of Whitney.
    • Silver decides to challenge her Gym... But has a moment of doubt when he spots some Ace Trainers who have lost so badly even their Pokeballs were damaged.
    • Silver leads with his Gastly, and casually annihilates the Gym Trainers. Then he arrives to Whitney, shows he has no badges... And she picks up a Miltank she has specifically for first timers. At least it's the only Pokémon she uses for them...
    • Ethan and Kris arrive at the Pokémon Center... And spot dozens of crying trainers running there to have their Pokémon healed by clearly overworked nurses. One of the trainers explains it was Whitney, and describes her like a demon just as Bugsy had done. Kris is properly intimidated... But Ethan, being Ethan, takes the challenge.
    • One of the Gym trainers try and warn Ethan about the kind of opponent he's about to challenge... And she also describe Whitney as the devil. Her face when Ethan ignores her warning is priceless. The episode ends right before he challenges her.
    • The fact so far we haven't seen her face, as it's always half-covered by shadows, partly off-screen, or obscured by something. Not even in her Pokémon Red (Fanmade) cameo... Where it was even worse: she was The Faceless, and her demon Miltank was only seen executing Rollout or Stomp on Daisy's hapless team or from behind.
  • The entirety of episode 10, where Ethan challenges Whitney... Repeatedly:
    • The thumbnail on Youtube has a giant Whitney with a manic smile and heart-shaped pupils holding Ethan in her hand while her Miltank looks with a Slasher Smile and shining red eyes.
    • Ethan at first is sure of himself, especially after making short work of Whitney's Clefairy... Then Miltank flattens his entire team. His angry face after the fact is priceless.
      • Miltank's surprised face at Ethan's reaction while Whitney is smiling after taking his money.
    • Comes the evening, and Ethan comes back for another challenge... And sees Whitney literally drinking the tears of her latest victim. Then he's flattened again.
    • Eventually, Ethan is left with no money from all the defeats. Then Whitney warns him she's a strong trainer.
    • The song played during the montage of Ethan's repeated defeats against Miltank is the Ultra Instinct theme.
    • Whitney as a Card-Carrying Villain Played for Laughs during the entire episode.
  • Episode 11 continues with showing the terror of facing Whitney... By having a poor shmuck who challenged her last:
    • The thumbnail of the video, showing Whitney with a Slasher Smile holding the Plain Badge with a Snorlax and an evil-looking Shiny Miltank. The latter having a background of storm clouds complete with a lightning.
    • Whitney's happy face (complete with heart-shaped pupils) as she sees her opponent has all the other Badges and realizes she can finally cut loose is priceless.
    • The poor challenger got mauled by a Blissey with a rather devastating moveset (Thunder, Blizzard, and Fire Blast are used) and a Clefable (Normal type before Generation 6) that annihilated a Machamp by using Psychic... Then Whitney decides to show off the rest of her strongest team by revealing a Snorlax and the Shiny Miltank, clearly ripped.
      • The fact we don't actually see her full team: the rack for eight Badge challengers has five Ultraballs, and she never shows the fifth Pokémon
    • After putting together some money and discovering that Whitney is much friendlier off the clock, Ethan trains for a new attempt at the Plain Badge, and goes for the Elemental Punches. Flaaffy learns Thunder Punch, Wooper learns Ice Punch and how to make arms and hands out of ice, and Quilava... Is rather disappointed when he discovers he can't learn Fire Punch even with a TM.
    • At the end of the episode, the Ace Trainer from earlier tries again... And discovers Whitney's strongest team is a stall team. He doesn't take well Blissey recovers health by using Rest, is fuming when Snorlax does the same, and is literally in tears shouting Yamero when Miltank recovers health through Milk Drink (that doesn't put her asleep).
    • Kris' Facepalming when she sees Ethan challenges Whitney and is still cocky.
  • Episode 12 continues Whitney's saga:
    • Following up on the previous episode, Gold challenges Whitney thinking that Flaafy and Wooper will be able to take on Miltank with the Elemental Punches... Then Flaaffy is hit by Rollout and flinches, with Whitney providing a ridiculous false innocent smile as she points it out.
    • After his seventh loss against Whitney in a row, Gold is finally starting to realize he needs more than three Pokémon in his team, and around Goldenrod finds a male Nidoran that knows Double Kick. He goes back, tells her how he's going to defeat her, and starts with Quilava... That is promptly neutralized with Attract. Gold's face is priceless. And so is Quilava's dumb lovestruck expression. And the rest of the team is of course neutralized the same way.
      • Whitney using Attract on Gold. Well, she just blew him a kiss, but his blush and reaction and the sound effect were those.
    • Gold's giddy face when he exchanges a Drowzee for a Machop - a female one. Also, how he goes to Whitney to boast he captured a female Nidoran.
  • In episode 13, Miltank's Last Stand involves using Milk Drink's bottle to knock Gold's Machop out for good.
  • After her defeat, Whitney went to her dressing room crying, and Gold followed her. Then Kris hears Pokémon moves from there, looks inside... And sees they were just making out in a spectacular manner.
  • Gold finally enters the Bug-Catching Contest, but ends up in fourth place with a few others. Kris is third place with a Venonat, Whitney is second place with a Scyther... And Bugsy is first place with his amazing Caterpie.
  • During the next Contest, Kris spots a group of Pinsir. How does she make sure Whitney or Gold don't see them? She takes advantage of their Slap-Slap-Kiss dynamic, as they're literally butting heads, and pushes Whitney onto Gold to initiate an Accidental Kiss. Then, while they're busy making out, she throws balls after balls at the Pinsir - and finally wins the contest.
  • After getting home from a visit to Goldenrod, Daisy tells Blue all about the up-and-coming Johto trainer who managed to beat the undefeatable Whitney. How does Blue react to this news? By turning on his boombox and vibing to his own theme song at full blast, of course.
  • While it's done for Fanservice, Gold's reaction to Whitney getting him to wear Farm Boy overalls and nothing else is hilarious.
  • How does Gold react to finding out Jasmine's best friend May has all eight Hoenn medals and had them for years? Why, swear to top that and win sixteen. Everyone who hears it is left in Stunned Silence, even Silver. Who has a Jaw Drop to top it off.
    • The fact this is what finally gives Silver doubts about what he's doing.
  • In episode 25 we see various crimes pulled by newly minted Rocket Executive Silver, including robbing a Pokémon Center... where the nurse is Megumin. Who for some reason doesn't chase him out with an exploding Electrode.
  • Although Episode 27 is a serious episode, there is one funny moment where Petrel tries to fight Gold and Lance (both of whom have a Typhlosion and Dragonite) with a Zubat and a Koffing. All Gold and Lance can do is exchange a look that says "This is nothing" before an off-screen Curb-Stomp Battle occurs.
  • In the thumbnail for Episode 30, May presses her breast into Gold's back.
  • Clair is shown to melodramatically hit the ground in front of her destroyed gym, but stands to salute and look professional the second Lance lands next to her. She is also reimagined as a bit of a dominatrix, and the unlucky Silver has to withstand her peculiar "training" during his rehabilitation process. When Clair drags him inside the Dragon Den, Lance cracks a small smile.
  • When Blue returns to his gym after temporarily standing in for Lance, he's livid to find out Leaf lost many gym battles while she was standing in for him. He proceeds to cartoonishly shake her and throw her away.
  • Episode 33:
    • The nurse in Blackthorn City is Lucoa.
    • When Gold finds out that Clair is Lance's cousin, he decides to troll her by posing similar to hers. Clair is not amused by this.
    • After Typhlosion defeats Dragonair, an irate Clair orders her second Dragonair to attack with Surf. All Typhlosion can do is give an Oh, Crap! look before his inevitable defeat.
    • Honesty, the fact that Clair spends most of the battle angry that Gold is winning is funny given that the last two episodes had her as a stoic dominatrix figure. Hell, her third Dragonair comes out of the lava pissed as hell that Gold is winning.
