  • Ethan comforting Whitney after defeating her. There he learns why she is very competitive. Following Giovanni kidnapping all her Miltanks and meeting Red, Whitney was determined never to lose again. This leads to her admitting defeat to Ethan and entering a relationship with Ethan.
  • Kris' love for her Togepi.
  • In Episode 15, Kris, Silver and Eusine end up falling into the basement of Lugia's damaged temple. Out of the three, Kris ends up unscratched from it. The reason? Silver used his body to cushion Kris's fall.
  • In Episode 21, Gold leaves Flaaffy behind to man the Olivine Lighthouse while he, Kris, and Whitney go to Cianwood Town while Jasmine's Amphy is ill. Flaaffy does not have any hard feelings about this, and gives his trainer a thumbs up, letting Gold know he will handle things at the lighthouse.
  • Episode 24:
    • Following his battle against Jasmine, Gold sees Flaaffy evolve into Ampharos and celebrates this moment with Quagsire. Jasmine even takes a photo of this moment, seemingly proud of what Gold accomplished.
    • Silver rejoins Team Rocket. While that on its own is a very bad thing, the heartwarming moment comes from Ariana tearfully welcoming her son back into the fold, showing absolutely zero hard feelings for Vileplume or Silver's earlier disowning of her and Giovanni.
    • Even though May moved to Hoenn years ago, Jasmine still keeps in touch with her.
  • In Episode 25, a tearjerker from the previous episode gets reversed into heartwarming when Silver's abandoned pokedex is found, and given to Kris. She looks through it and realizes by virtue of the entries therein who it belonged to, before adding all of the data she had previously acquired to it. While she doesn't know Silver's true reasons for leaving his pokedex behind, she's visibly touched that he had done so, and next to her own destroyed dex, no less.
  • Episode 26:
    • Gold is able to calm down Quilava by linking his heart to his starter Pokémon and break out of Team Rocket's radio wave. It of course works.
    • When Quilava is flung into the water by the Red Gyarados, Gold wastes no time in diving down to save his friend.
    • One minor thing to note is that when Lance goes to Johto to stop Team Rocket, he sees that Red has left some of his Pokémon (mainly Hypno, Gengar, Mew, and Mewtwo) to create a barrier that prevents the radio waves from entering the region. This definitely shows that, despite being in self isolation, Red will not hesitate to save Kanto from Team Rocket as he did eight years ago.
    • Another minor one to note; when Lance goes to Johto to stop Team Rocket, he gives Blue the Champion position. During the Red series, Blue angsted a lot about not getting any respect, so knowing that Lance respects Blue enough to trust him with the Champion position is rather nice.
      • Who did Blue leave in charge of the Viridian Gym? None other than Leaf, who he curbstomped at one point when she challenged him for a badge. It shows that Blue sees Leaf as a close friend.
  • In Episode 28, Quagsire starts reusing his ability to grow arms while using Ice Punch to get Gold to snap out of his Heroic BSoD. Then, all of Gold's Pokémon leave their balls to give him a comfort hug, and help him regain his fighting spirit.
  • In Episode 29:
    • Giovanni comes to Goldenrod... but leaves when Silver renounces Team Rocket. He hadn't come to retake his place at the head of Team Rocket, but to help his son avoid his same errors, and when he sees he's in good hands he leaves.
    • Instead of taking out his anger on Silver for what he did to Quagsire, Gold chooses to encourage his rival to be a better person, and to help the group assembled to fight off against Team Rocket.
  • Episode 31 is one long hearwarming moment, a fitting epilogue to the intense climactic fight against Team Rocket:
    • Ho-Oh and Lugia answer Silver's prayer, and resuscitate the Pokémon he had killed, including Falkner's Fearow, the young scout girl's Butterfree, and Ariana's Vileplume - which then joyfully hugs her second Vileplume. Silver even offers his life in exchange of the miracle, but the two Legendaries don't take it, most likely because they saw he's genuinely repentant.
    • Silver gives back Feraligatr, so that he can return to Elm's lab.
    • Silver also turns himself to the police, to atone for his crimes. However, Lance instead decides to give him a second chance, and asks Clair to mentor him.
    • Ho-Oh and Lugia even restores Quagsire's arms. A big wholesome hug follows when Gold and he are reunited.
    • Kris meets Joey and a young Lyra. The latter hit it off immediately with Kris' Marill. Pedro Araujo even mentioned in a comment Joey is meant to be the counterpart of the remakes' male protagonist, and a flash forward will show he and Lyra followed in Gold's and Kris' footsteps.
  • In Episode 32, Silver shows some progress in his training with Clair by catching his Golbat when Dragonair flings the latter towards the lava pool. Seeing that causes Clair to crack a smile as her training is finally getting through to Silver.
  • In the following episode, when Silver reunites with Gold and Kris, Gold and Kris takes the opportunity to tell Silver how they got Umbreon and Togetic to evolve through proper care and love. Cut to the next day when Kris takes Silver to Route 45 to train.
